2 A family owned business in strong development! The family tradition of producing mirrors began in 1977, when Arne and Peter Steen bought a small company that produced mirrors for the automotive industry and shop mirrors of glass. In 1984 production and sales of surveillance mirrors were bought from another company and in 1986 the entire business was moved to Vittaryd, a small community 20 km north of Ljungby, Sweden. After a few years of establishment and expansion of the assortment, a workshop for production of drum plate details was purchased. As a result, the company got the capacity for subcontract production of sheet-metal details in addition to the possibility for internal production of brackets for the mirrors. In 1993, the production of shop and traffic mirrors and hemispherical plastic mirrors were started, thus in the end of the year a complete product assortment could be offered. The following year, the trademark Euromirror was registered and the assortment was for the first time introduced on the export market on international trade fairs. In addition, a new equipment for vacuum shaping of backsides and hemispherical mirrors was installed. In 1995, we signed a number of long time subcontracts for production of plate details. In order to meet the market's requirements on documented quality control, a quality system was implemented and we were certified according to SS-EN ISO One year later, the company was moved to newly built premises in Vittaryd. The new website was opened in In the beginning of the 21st century, one of Europe's largest metallization constructions for coating of plastic materials to mirrors was installed, in addition to an automatic machine for pressing stainless steal. The frame is manufactured of UV-stabilized polystyrene (PS), which is supplied with reflecting CLASS 2 material to emphasize that the mirror is a traffic aid.
