Delhi library Branch Dated.. 3\ \~I ~on CIRCULAR Sub: - Guidelines for Utilization of fund allocated for procuring books for School libraries (Class Nursery to Class Fifth) under budget Head "Improvement of School library- Supply and Materials " for the year " Budget Allocation and Procurement With reference to Planning Branch order No. D.E 18-5(91/ /Plg./ dated ; a provision has been made to set up a class room library in each section from Class Nursery to Class Five in all Sarvodya Vidyalays of the Directorate. A) The budget of Rs / per class room library per year allocated for primary sections is required to be utilized for procuring Books from the Book Fair to be organized by this Directorate at: different venues. Date and venue of Book Fair to be organized by this Directorate will be intimated separately. B) For the 100 schools where for Primary Sections has been Set-Up by Room to Read India Trust emphasis should be on making a good collection of books in English language for the students of Primary Sections. (Annexure I) C) For procuring Books for school libraries of Primary Sections HOS will constitute a committee of four teachers of the school. Composition of the committee will be as follows. 1. HOS of the School 2. Primary In-charge 3. One ASSIStant Teacher (Nursery)

2 4. One Assistant Teacher (Primary) 5. One Assistant Teacher (Primary) 0) Books have to be procured at a minimum discount 20 %. E) Furniture is not to be procured from this amount.
