3 PetPoint is proud to now allow you to access our brand new Mobile Inventory access! This feature is available for organizations who have signed up for the advanced productivity add on suite. With this new feature, you may access your PetPoint information through smartphones and tablets in a streamlined and functional way to complete tasks while on the go, such as updating animals, inventory and to-do lists. For more information on purchasing this add on, contact enterprise@petpoint.com ADMIN SETUP General setup must be completed to be able to use the Mobile Inventory. The animals show in locations set up on Add/Edit Field Values and within the Location Manager. In addition, administrators need to visit Add/Edit Users to apply a new Mobile Inventory user role, which allows users to be able to access the mobile site. ADMIN OPTIONS ADD / EDIT USERS The Mobile Inventory user role is available for every user in a database that has purchased access to the mobile site. It exists in the Specialty Roles section. Options are Yes or No. The default is No, change the option to Yes for any user who needs to be granted access to the mobile site. This role works in conjunction with the standard and modular security user roles to define what level of access the user has when it comes to updating animal details, versus Medical, Behavior, etc. THE MOBILE INVENTORY SITE All users should bookmark the following link to access the Mobile Inventory site from their mobile device. LOGIN PAGE The standard Shelter ID, User Name, and Password that are used to log into PetPoint are also used to log into the Mobile Inventory site. Mobile Inventory Page 3 of 13

4 LIST OF LOCATIONS The main screen lists all locations within the shelter, and also will display a number of animals in that location on the right side of the screen. Click the plus sign to expand to see all animals in that location, and basic animal details including a photo (if available). Mobile Inventory Page 4 of 13

5 FILTER ITEMS A filter may be applied to any expanded list of animals in a location. The filter will reduce the number of animals shown on the screen to only the ones with the letters or numbers you have typed into the field. For example, in this image, we have filtered to only show animals with a sublocation name cat room in the detail, so that the only cats remaining in the list are those that are in the cat room. 6 SELECT AN ANIMAL Select an animal on the list by clicking anywhere on the record. This will display the Animal s record, and allow you to review the record and make updates. MOBILE ANIMAL RECORD The mobile animal record contains all information that is accessible by the mobile version of PetPoint for that animal. You may also update many of the details, including adding new photos directly from the mobile device s camera. ADD/UPDATE PHOTO(S) The first option on an animal s record is to update the photos. Click to attach a photo directly from your mobile device. Mobile Inventory Page 6 of 13

7 On the Upload Animal Photo page, click the Choose File button for Image One, Two, or Three. Depending on your device s capabilities, you will be able to upload a photo from your existing photos, and/or take a new one using the device s camera. Click Upload once you have selected the photo or taken a new photo. Mobile Inventory Page 7 of 13

8 Once the photos are uploaded, they will display on the animal s record. You may click anywhere on a photo to see a larger version of it. Mobile Inventory Page 8 of 13

9 OTHER ANIMAL INFORMATION You can view the Animal Number, update the Name, ARN, Stage, Location and Sublocation of the selected animal from the mobile animal record. Please note that moving an animal to the Stage of Available, or other Adoptable Search Listing stage (as set by the administrator), is the action that sends that animal's information to the online portal that potential adopters can see. 10 DETAILS Below the photos and basic animal info sections, you can update additional animal details. Click to expand the Details section to review or update the animal s Weight, Primary or Secondary Breed, Date of Birth, Age Group, Gender, Primary, Secondary, or Third Color, and Bitten Status. Changes to either the Animal Info or Details sections need to be submitted by clicking the Submit button at the very bottom of the screen. Mobile Inventory Page 10 of 13

11 PETANGO/ADOPTION DESCRIPTION Update the animal s Petango/Adoption Description memo directly from this section of the mobile animal record. This will update the existing memo, which will display online for any animal in the Available, or other Adoptable Search Listing stage. If a memo already exists on this animal s record, and updates are made through the Mobile Inventory site, a new Petango/Adoption Description memo will be saved on the animal s record. The existing memo will be saved, but will not show online with the adoptable animal s record. As before, changes will be made to the animal s memo when the Submit button is clicked at the bottom of the screen. Mobile Inventory Page 11 of 13

12 TO DO LISTS Any scheduled or pending Medical Item, Behavior Test, or Care Activity will be able to be completed or cancelled by users who have access to the mobile animal record. If a user does not have access to the module where the scheduled or pending to do item has been set up, they will not be able to update the specific to-do record from the Mobile Inventory site. Click to expand on any section. Items that are past their scheduled or pending status date/time will show in red, those that are still coming up show in green. Mobile Inventory Page 12 of 13

13 Select any Medical Item, Behavior Test, or Activity from the list, and you may review the details and submit it as Completed or Cancelled. This will immediately update the animal s record in the desktop version of PetPoint. Mobile Inventory Page 13 of 13
