4 The Basics: Admin Feedback Admin Feedback is a direct line to PetPoint Customer Support. Submitting your questions via Admin > Feedback provides us with the Shelter ID, Organization name, User name, the submitted feedback / suggestion request aiding us to properly address your concern.
5 The Basics: Configuration Guide PetPoint requires specific settings that are local to each computer used to access PetPoint. These setting must be maintained to ensure optimal performance in PetPoint. To verify the configuration settings, refer to this link: pc_to_use_petpoint.pdf.
6 PetPoint Tips and Tricks System Alert Application Notification Create / Update your Petango Site Page
7 The Basics: Important Types. System Alerts contain time-sensitive or other important information via . Please ensure that the appropriate addresses are added as System Alert types for anyone who should receive these urgent announcements. Invoices our sent to your Finance Directors for the ShelterCare program as described in Schedule B of your PetPoint Agreement. Please ensure that the appropriate addresses are added as System Alert and Finance Director types. Application Notification type is to be used to communicate to anyone that applications from Petango have arrived for download.
8 PetPoint Tips and Tricks Petango Editor Medical Permission User Role
9 User Roles: Petango Editor / Medical Petango Editor: Users with this role can add pictures, the Petango / Adoption Memo to active animal records for display on Petango.com and the Adoptable Search I-frame. This role should be given individually. Users without any of the Medical Roles will not see or be able to access Care Medical. Medical User Medical - Power User Medical - Manager
10 PetPoint Tips and Tricks Review and Emancipation Dates Special Alerts Using Associations
11 Field Value Setup: Review Dates The user during Intake can add Review Date for Stage. This can be customized to auto create your review date. In Admin > Admin Options > Add /Edit Field Value, Customer Field select: Animal Stage, select the Animal Stage you wish to define and in Review Date Default enter your Default value and Update.
12 Field Value Setup: Emancipation Dates Tips and Tricks The user during Intake can add an Emancipation Date for Intake Sub Type. This can be customized to auto generate your date. In Admin > Admin Options > Add /Edit Field Value, Customer Field select Operation Sub Type, Group dropdown Stray select on Public Dropoff, enter your Emancipation Date Default and click Update.
13 Field Value Setup: Special Alerts On any person or animal memo, the option to customize Memo SubTypes to define as a special alert Memo. For special alerts, when searching for and selecting the person or animal record, a pop up will appear with the memo text on it.
14 Field Value Setup: Using Associations Not Customer Value Associations has web login rights, persons with those Associations lists as a potential user and a Performed by. These values cannot be changed and are system defined. The Do Not Adopt check box for The Do Not Adopt association can block a person with this association restricting the processing of an adoption. Is Danger?" check box displays a red Danger graphic when a person with a defined Association is selected in the search screen.
15 Field Value Setup: Using Associations Association can now be further categorized with an association subtype to break down association values further or record your processing within the association.
16 PetPoint Tips and Tricks Multi-Price Items Auto-Populate on Receipt
17 Items & Receipts: Multi-Price Items Multi Priced items, used to charge different prices by different sites or item prices defined by Animal Type and Animal Age Group. (i.e., adoption fee differs for dogs & cats.)
18 Items & Receipts: Auto-Populate Auto-Populate on Receipt: This box is checked if you would like the item to appear on each instance of clicking "Create Receipt" when the animal has been processed through the specific operation. Show in Receipt Items: This box MUST be checked to add the item to any Receipt.
19 PetPoint Tips and Tricks Receipt Templates Exam/Surgery Templates
20 Templates: Receipt Templates Receipt Notes Templates provides the ability to create specific verbiage that can be added to individual receipts. One or more templates can be included on any receipt created in PetPoint. In Admin > Admin options > Receipts Notes Templates, create your template name, add your verbiage and add.
21 Templates: Exam/Surgery Templates Note Templates are used on the Care Medical screen and will allow users to save time by selecting a list of pre-made note templates to use for your medical exams.
22 PetPoint Tips and Tricks By Location/Stage By Associations By Last 10 Using Advanced Search Searching Lost Reports from Intake Screens Sortable Headers
23 Searching: Searching by Location & Stage Searching by Location or Stage saves time searching animal records. With litters or groups of animals that are all being moved from one Stage / or Location to another in Edit Animal or any animal module in PetPoint, reducing the time in searching for individual animal records. Tips and Tricks Screenshot
24 Searching: by Associations This new search option allows you to pull lists of people within the specific association selected using the search tool. With updating Person records that are donors, medical personnel or any associations in PetPoint you can search by Association you want to display. Searching by Association saves time accessing persons listed as a Performed By in PetPoint.
25 Searching: Last 10 This search will locate the last 10 records accessed by your login name. Last 10 in Edit Person will locate the last 10 person records. Last 10 in Edit Animal will locate the last 10 animal records. Last 10 is present to access the last 10 records in Care > Medical, Edit > Agency as well.
26 Searching: Advanced Search Advanced Search is a tool to use if the Search dropdown can not locate an animal record. Pop-ups allowed. Search by selecting, click Find. Matching animals will display. Animal Type, Species, Active or Operation Dates are required. Include the Operation dates the animal was in your organization to narrow your search.
27 Searching: Lost Reports in Intake Intake Confirmation offers a search for lost pets entered into your PetPoint Lost Found, reuniting pets to their families. Admin to control what Intakes a Lost / Found Search can be performed on
28 Sorting by Headers When your Search has returned, the entries in the results grid can be sorted by clicking on any of the blue the column headers. This feature is within any search in PetPoint.

41 Reports: Location View Report View a quick count of the animals in your care. See a virtual blueprint of location occupancy. Quickly view all animals in a specific site. View open cages, kennels and runs.
