4 Offers for the Month- BB10 Plans BlackBerry 10 plans are designed for only BlackBerry 10 devices. These plans come in three teirs BlackBerry 10 Max, BlackBerry 10 Midi and BlackBerry 10 Lite and offer customers up to 1.5GB of data. Prepaid customers can activate any of the plans via USSD or SMS, while Postpaid customers requiring activation can contact their Key Account Managers, or visit an Airtel Showroom for assistance. You can also take up any of the data bundle plans available on the network (HOWEVER, please note that you will NOT have access to Unlimited BlackBerry Messenger- all BBM transactions will be depleted from your data bundle plans). 6 Tech News BlackBerry News BlackBerry has released an updated version of its BBM messaging app for ios and Android. Version 2.1 brings two major changes support for Voice communication and BBM Channels. The new release (which is similar to BBM 10.3 on BlackBerry 10, and BBM 8.1 on BlackBerry OS devices), offers the following new features: BBM Voice You can enjoy free voice calls between BBM contacts (using a Wi-Fi or data connection). BBM Channels You can join conversations happening now with BBM users, brands, businesses, communities and more. Faster, easier sharing You can add photos, voice notes, files and attachments to your BBM chats from your smartphone or Dropbox account. Location sharing You can share your location temporarily, powered by Glympse. Your location is updated live on a map, right in BBM. When the timer runs out your location is private again. More than 100 new emoticons There are over 100 new emojis to get your point across. Stickers Emojis in very large sizes as stickers to add more Fun. Find Friends Quickly find and add new BBM contacts from your smartphone contact list. Larger BBM Groups You can now chat and share with 50 people in your BBM Group. Dropbox Support - With Dropbox built in to BBM, you can send a file from your personal cloud directly to a BBM contact. On the receiving end, save the file directly to your smartphone or add it to your Dropbox account. The update is available for free, and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and from BlackBerry World. 6

7 Tech News Samsung Launches Galaxy S5, Fit and Gear The Galaxy S5 phone is part of a new family of exceptional devices including the Fit band and Gear smartwatches. Samsung Galaxy S5 is said to be an improvement on the S4 in terms of features such as the camera, the battery life and durability matter above all else. It allows you to take photographs and adjust the focus afterwards, and it can add WiFi to 4G to produce ultrafast network speeds. It offers improved HDR pictures and better video quality, displayed on an improved screen. With the fingerprint scanner you can now use your fingerprint to pay for online shopping via PayPal. 8 Mobi Tips Switching to your new BlackBerry 10 Smartphone Do you know you can transfer your phone contacts from the old Blackberry to the BB10 device via bluetooth? Turn on Bluetooth on both devices. This can bedone by going to Options > Network and Connections > Bluetooth Connections > Bluetooth ON. Connect both devices by pairing. On the old device, click on the menu bar and select transfer contacts. You will receive a prompt on the Blackberry 10 device to receive a file. Accept the file to have all phone contacts transferred to the blackberry 10 device. These include WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC etc. For instance, If your phone is constantly trying to connect to every Wi-Fi signal in the area, you are wasting power.
