2 I. INTRODUCTION The International Convention Centre A focal point of Durban's business district, the International Convention Centre Durban is a functional space in an aesthetic environment. Centrally located and close to the King Shaka International Airport, ICC Durban is minutes from hotels and beaches. Palm trees form a welcoming avenue while at the entrance to the centre three baobabs, Africa's tree giants, bid a regal greeting. The International Convention Centre Durban (ICC) is one of the most advanced conference facilities in the world. Flexibility and versatility are key factors in the design of this state-of-the-art technology-driven centre. Little wonder then that ICC Durban is where Africa and the world meet. The LOC will provide all broadcasters with a range of possibilities in the International Convention Centre, Durban. The International Broadcaster Centre will be located in Hall 3A,B with wireless internet free of charge. Please see below for the products offered. For international broadcasters, rental of cars and other vehicles can be provided by Europcar. The LOC has made a special arrangement for this purpose and vehicles can be ordered through this link: II. 4 3) Mobile phones and pre-paid SIM cards Pre-paid SIM cards can be purchased at various amounts with current call charges, as listed below. The listed call charges are subject to change. An online prepaid site is available where prepaid simcards can be purchased prior to arrival. Numbers would be available up to 2 weeks before arriving in South Africa. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BROADCASTER RATE CARD, PART A 1. Key dates: Order period: Ends on 30 May 2011 Payment: The full payment must be received by 15 June see details below. 2. Prices and Taxes All rates provided are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Prices include all applicable taxes, technical support and services. If there is a significant change in the demand for services, or a change in market conditions, the South African Organising Committee reserves the right to revise any applicable rate in this document. 7

8 3. Order Process 4. Payment Orders can be sent by , fax or mail to the LOC. Order confirmation will happen through issue of a Statement of Confirmation from the LOC. Order activation will only be initiated after receiving full payment. Due to tight timelines and sourcing of the above mentioned items we unfortunately cannot allow any cancellation of order. Once orders have been placed, full payment is required. The full payment must be received on or before 15 June 2011, upon receipt of the Statement of Confirmation. If payment has not been received by this date, all confirmed orders will be cancelled by the LOC. Payment must be made with a bank transfer to SASCOC, Rate Card Account: BANK : NEDBANK ACCOUNT HOLDER : SASCOC ACCOUNT NO : SWIFT : NEDSZAJJ The payment must include (as a reference) the full name of the person for whom the products have been ordered. If an organisation/company has ordered rate card products for more than one accredited person, separate payments for each person must be made. Proof of payment to be faxed to Clifford Corber at +27 (11) or clifford@sascoc.co.za 5. Rate Card Administration The LOC will operate a Rate Card Service Centre in the foyer at the ICC, from 09h00 to 18h00 from 28 June 2011 to 09 July Please indicate special requests for additional office equipment or other comments. Feel free to us directly on: clifford@sascoc.co.za 6. Check-In & -Out Procedure Upon arrival at the ICC, a representative from each broadcaster/media shall confirm, in writing to LOC, the acceptance of all rate card products ordered. Upon departure, the representative is required to formally return items to the LOC which acknowledges receipt hereof. If the check-out process is incomplete, the full replacement value of the products in question must be paid upon request from the LOC. 7. Session-time orders During session time, orders can be placed with the LOC in the Rate Card Service Centre situated in the foyer at ICC (opening hours 09h00 18h00). Payment must either be in cash (payable in ZAR) or by credit card (VISA). 8

9 All session time orders will be subject to inventory limitations. The LOC may accept, accept in part or reject session time orders. IV. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY For each product of the Rate Card, the following terms and conditions apply upon the LOC s receipt of your order and payment, to be confirmed at delivery: We will be fully responsible for any Rate Card goods and services while they are in our care and will return the goods to the LOC in the same condition, except for reasonable wear and tear, as we receive them. If any goods in our care are damaged, stolen or lost, we will immediately notify the LOC and pay upon request the full replacement value of the products. The description, availability and price of certain products in the Rate Card may change and we will not hold the LOC liable for any charges except for reimbursement by the Organising Committee of any payment already made by us for products that it cannot provide. Upon receipt of the products we paid for, we will satisfy ourselves that they are in working order and comply with the description in the Rate Card and advise the LOC immediately in writing if they are not. Such notification should be sent to clifford@sascoc.co.za using our order number. If so notified, the LOC will repair or, subject to availability, provide an equivalent replacement or provide a refund for any such product. Other than what is required by law, the LOC will have no other liability to us for any matter connected with the Rate Card or the goods and services, whether for breach of its terms, negligence or otherwise. 9
