5 Annual Meetings Information Technology and Communication Services in Lima for World Bank Group Staff at the Annual Meetings Please be advised of the following arrangements concerning laptops and mobile devices for the 2015 Annual Meetings in Lima. Staff will be encouraged to use remote access facilities similar to the previous Meeting abroad. There will be a comprehensive Wi-Fi infrastructure covering all the meeting venues for Internet access. Laptops 1. Each office space assigned to a VPU at the Banco de la Nación will be provided with one wired laptop connected to the Bank network and one printer. Bank staff using the other workstation(s) in the office space may bring their own laptop from the Bank, or rent laptops from The cost of rental will be charged to the corresponding VPU s budget. 2. Staff members using other workstation(s) within the office will be required to use remote access. To support this functionality, there will be a comprehensive Wi-Fi infrastructure covering all the meeting venues and office spaces for Internet access. It is therefore important that all staff travelling to Lima ensure they are familiar with remote access procedures and are in possession of a SecurID token. Desk Phones/Cell Phones 3. Each office space will be provided with one desk phone (land line). Please be advised that all local call charges will be borne by the host government. Any long distance or international calls made from the desk phone will be charged to the respective VPU s account. 4. Calls to Washington (Bank and Fund headquarters) will be supported toll-free over the internal network and will be accessed via a special dial prefix. The special dial prefix will be provided when in Lima. 5. Each HQ Bank staff attending the Annual Meetings in Lima will also be provided with a local cell phone for purposes of on-site operational coordination. Please be advised that these cell phones are for local calls only. Please collect your cell phone from the Bank and Fund Cell Phone Counter located on Level 1, National Museum, from October 1 onwards between 9:00 am 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. After the Meetings, please return local cell phone to Bank and Fund Cell Phone Counter located on Level 1, National Museum. The counter will be available for local cell phone return starting Saturday, October 10 to Tuesday, October 13, between 9:00 am 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

6 3 Please present your Annual Meetings Badge when collecting your local cell phone at the Bank and Fund Cell Phone Counter in Lima. For those collecting on behalf of team members, you will be responsible to sign for all the cellphones collected and be responsible to return them after the Meetings. Mobile Devices 6. Bank staff may order iphone or Androids from if required. The cost of the device and data plan will be charged to the corresponding VPU s communication budget. 7. Which cellular networks are available in Peru for my corporate smartphone? T-Mobile and AT&T phones are designed to auto-connect to the best available network carrier. However, if you experience an issue with a network carrier, try manually selecting Telefonica, Entel, or Claro. To manually select a network, go to Settings Carrier Slide OFF Automatic Selection Tap one of the aforementioned networks. 3. What are the cellular options on my personal smartphone? Please check with your local cellular provider before traveling to avoid incurring significant roaming charges. 4. What kind of cellular service can I expect on my corporate smartphone? It depends on which rate plan you are currently on. To see which rate plan your phone is on, go to the eservices Corporate Smartphone Service Plan Cancel page (do not submit the request). I have a corporate U.S. Domestic Rate Plan can I switch to an international rate plan for the Annual Meetings? Yes, both T-Mobile and AT&T allow one rate plan change per year. Manager approval is required. Submit an eservices Smartphone Service Plan Change request. The Mobility Support Team will notify you once the rate plan has been changed. 6. Will Wi-Fi calling work on my corporate smartphone? Wi-Fi calling will work on corporate T-Mobile smartphones provisioned with the International Rate Plan $79/month. Be sure to enable Wi-Fi calling under your phone s settings. 7. What other cellular/wireless services can I take advantage of? Jabber is now available for all ios devices configured with Mobile Outlook. Be sure to request an account before traveling by submitting the eservices Jabber for ios Request. You can also utilize apps such as Skype or Viber.
