By the time this newsletter reaches you, the inaugural Belfast BCS, OWASP and ISACA Summer Networking event will be over and we will be just a few days away from the IISF, OWASP and ISACA Dublin BBQ. Your Chapter Board has been busy over the summer months organising the ISACA Ireland Conference - see details in the panel. We are also arranging events for September and October in Dublin, Belfast and Cork - watch out for more information coming soon. COBIT 5 Training A number of Chapter Members have completed the COBIT 5 Foundation

2 2 of 8 Exam and we now have 60+ in the Chapter who are so qualified. Some of these sixty had enquired about COBIT 5 Assessor and Implementation training and it s the Chapters intention to offer COBIT 5 Implementation and Assessor Courses tethered to the Chapter Conference on Friday 11th November This graphic above illustrates the pathways with COBIT 5 courses exams and qualifications. Possession of the Foundation exam (course not mandatory) allows you to progress to the Assessor or Implementation course(s) (course mandatory) and then to complete either of the two examinations or both. After passing the Assessor examination, those so qualified can apply to become COBIT Certified Assessors. Total Cost including $250 exam fee is /e/members-only-cobit-5-assessorcourse-class-based-deliverywith-dublin-exam-tickets Cobit 5 Implementation and Assessor Course combining

Total cost including both examinations (2 x $250) is /e/members-only-cobit-5-combinedimplementation-and-assessorcourse-tickets Courses 2, 3 and 4 come with a complimentary pass to the Chapter Conference at Croke Park on 11th November. Please be reminded that a prerequisite of the Implementation and Assessor Courses is the prior successful completion of the COBIT 5 Foundation Exam. The Chapter reserves the right to cancel the courses and issue full refunds if the numbers attending do not make the courses viable. The 27th September 2016 is the final booking date for the Implementation and Assessor Courses to allow time to cancel resource s without incurring financial penalties for the Chapter. 5 5 of 8 ISACA Ireland Chapter Conference 11th November 2016, Croke Park, Dublin Registration for our annual conference will be open from the 21st August. We have a line up of over 20 speakers and more than 20 sessions including a key note address from Kai Roer, Author of "Build a Security Culture". We look forward to hearing Kai at the conference - why don't you come along too. We are also combining the conference with the opportunity to complete COBIT 5 Training - See box below for details. As you may know the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes to full effect in IIAP have brought together top data protection experts to explain what the GDPR means for organizations. The UK Information Commissioner's Office has said that UK organizations will still be required to follow the GDPR. As a special offer, ISACA members can receive 10% off the registration price.
