1 CFP Education GTP FAQ Is the CFP exam fee going to be reimbursed if I fail the exam? No. Students are responsible for applying and paying for the exam on their own. Dalton Education will not reimburse or pay this fee. If I am on a payment plan, what are the policies if I miss a payment? Payment plan students sign a promissory note that details payment due dates. Students have a grace period of 10 days to resolve any outstanding payments beyond the due date. Delinquencies beyond 10 days void the guarantee. Can I take the exam readiness quiz more than once in the same exam cycle? No, students have one opportunity to take the quiz and must score 70% or above to receive their money-back option. The exam readiness quiz is given to all Dalton Review students two weeks prior to the actual CFP exam. If I take the exam readiness quiz, score 70% or higher and then for some reason defer taking the CFP exam, do I need to take the exam readiness quiz again? Yes, you would need to take the exam readiness quiz a second time and obtain a qualifying score of 70% or greater to receive the money-back option. What are the computer system requirements? It is recommended that students have an operating system Windows 7 or higher or Mac OS 10.6 or higher. Students must be able to run, install, and configure programs and be able to store and retrieve documents and files on their computer. If you are unsure if you have appropriate permissions to save files to your computer, please contact your system administrator. What are the terms and conditions of this program? Students must provide proof of CFP exam failure (the CFP exam diagnostic sheet and pass/fail letter from the CFP Board) within 30 days of the exam results release date. Students must inform Dalton Education in writing within 30 days of the exam results release date whether or not they wish to continue with The Dalton Review or if they are requesting their money back. Students that choose to continue with The Dalton Review continue to receive access to The Dalton Review classes and study materials. Students that choose to request a refund will lose all privileges to the Guarantee to Pass package, including access to all education and review courses and materials.

2 For the Guarantee to Pass package, all education courses must be completed through the live, online format. CFP Education Virtual Which package does the Guarantee to Pass package apply to? The Guarantee to Pass is a package that consists of live online instruction, textbooks, and The Dalton Review Guarantee to Pass. Please click here for more info. What if I have to miss a class? All live lectures are recorded and available for playback. What is the schedule? Classes generally meet two nights per week, for two hours each class. The entire program is generally completed in nine months. What is the grading policy? Students are issued a pass/fail based upon a weighted average of exams given during each course. Students must achieve a grade of 70% or higher to pass each course. If a student fails to achieve a 70% for a course, the student must repeat that course. How is testing administered? Generally, two exams are given for each course. Students will take an online midterm and final exam for each course. The midterm is 40% of the final grade and the final exam is 60%. Students must achieve a 70% for each course in order to receive a passing grade. What if I fail an exam? If students fail an exam, they will have an opportunity to take a makeup exam. The makeup exams are different versions testing the same content. Extra credit projects may be available if students score a failing grade on makeup exams. For students that still don t have a passing score for the course after the makeup exam, they will be required to repeat the course. There will be a four week sit out period where students will be instructed to go back through the recorded classes to retake the course before they are permitted to take a new midterm and final exam. The new midterm and final exams will be third versions of the exams. What are the system requirements? If within the first five days of enrolling in the program you are not completely satisfied, please contact us for a refund. How long do I have access to the program? Students have access to the program for 9 months. Upon successful completion of the program, students will have access to the program for an additional three months. CFP Education Self-paced How much does the Online Self-Paced CFP Certification Education cost? The cost of the program is $3,595. Additional products can be added such as The Dalton Review for the CFP Certification Examination. How long does it take to complete the program? The program is designed to be completed in 9 months, which assumes you spend about 5 hours per week doing the online assignments and another 4-8 hours of reading chapters and completing the homework exercises. The program can be completed in less time if you are familiar with some of the material or if you are able to spend more than the recommended time each week. How long do I have access? What happens if my access expires before I complete the program? All students who enroll in the Self-Paced CFP Certification Program will have access to their online classroom for 9 months, which is the projected completion time period. There is a complimentary 3- month grace period after your 9-month access has expired. After the initial 9-month access and 3-month grace period have ended, students that have not completed the program will have the option to extend access based on the following options: 3 Months: $200 6 Months: $ Months: $700 All students will be notified before their access expires via one month before the initial 9-month access ends and they are entering into the 3-month grace period at no charge. During the grace period, students can purchase additional time to access all education courses as long as needed. Other reminders will be ed to notify students who are approaching an expiration date.

4 If a student allows their access to expire, there will be a $200 reactivation fee plus the charges for the time as described above. For example, if a student allows their access to expire and needs 3 more months to complete the program, there will be a $200 reactivation fee plus $200 to extend, or $400 in total. These fees are non-refundable and will not be pro-rated if the program is finished any sooner than anticipated. You must complete the certificate coursework within four years from the date of program enrollment. If you have not completed the program after four years and wish to continue, you will have to pay for the program again at current program pricing. Does the Guarantee to Pass package apply to any of the Online Self-Paced CFP Certification Programs? No, the Guarantee to Pass package is not part of the self-paced programs and only applies to the package that includes virtual classroom instruction, textbooks, and the Dalton Review Guarantee to Pass. Some of the major differences include: This program was developed by former members of the CFP Board of Examiners (now CFP Board's Council on Examinations). Most other online CFP programs only have 10-14% of their students completing the program. Is there a payment plan? Yes. Students electing the payment plan sign a promissory note to pay tuition over 6 months. There is an administration fee of $150 for the payment plan option. How do I purchase textbooks? Do any of the courses count towards insurance, securities, or other CE credit? No CE credits are issued through this program. What are the exam reviews? The exam reviews are instruction delivered online. Students are given access to watch recordings of these reviews. Instructors cover the most important concepts for the course and what is most likely to be on the exams. What is The Dalton Review for the CFP Certification Examination? Prior to taking the CFP Certification Examination it is highly recommended that students take a review course for the CFP exam. The Dalton Review was developed by former members of the CFP Board of Examiners (now CFP Board's Council on Examinations) and has pass rates of 70-80% on the CFP exam. Is The Dalton Review for the CFP Exam included in the price of the program? No, The Dalton Review is not included in the basic package, but is available in the Self-Paced + The Dalton Review Package. The exam reviews are an important component to the program and allow students to review important concepts prior to taking each exam in the program.

6 TDR Does the CFP exam test current year tax numbers or the prior year's numbers? With the exception of March exams, which test the previous year's law, the CFP exam tests current year tax law. This includes current year tax rates, phase-outs, and inflation-adjusted numbers. Do I have access to instructors for questions while I'm studying? Yes. Students have access to our instructors via . Online review materials are accessible on portable devices, but the booklets are not. Who wrote your testbank and exam questions? Our questions were primarily written by instructors that served on the CFP Board of Examiners (now CFP Board s Council on Examinations). In addition, we have all of the released questions from prior exams. If I attend the traditional classroom review, do I still have access to the virtual classroom review? Yes. One of the benefits of attending the traditional classroom review is that you also receive access to the virtual classroom reviews and recordings. If I miss a live review lecture, can I replay the recording? Yes. You will have access to recordings of all office hours and reviews after they occurr until you pass the exam. 7 What happens if I don't pass the exam? You are welcome to attend our review again at no additional charge. In addition, you can work with our instructors during office hours on specific areas upon which you would like to improve. Can I attend multiple sessions of one exam cycle? Yes. Feel free to attend any of the virtual classroom or traditional classroom dates that are offered prior to an exam. Can I take your review twice before I sit for the exam? Yes, actually we encourage it. The more times you hear the material the more likely you are to be successful on the exam. How is your review different than other providers? First, we have the best faculty in the country. Next, our materials are very exam-focused which enables your study time to be efficient. Additionally, we allow students to attend the review multiple times at no additional charge. What are the benefits of your review?
