25 Lesson 5 - Final Exam Information Lesson 5 - Final Exam Information Lesson Preparation SCHEDULE AND PROCTORING Instructors may allow students to take the exam any time they choose. To maintain the integrity of the Academy SQL Final Exam, the instructor can run a report to see if a student has attempted the exam before the assigned date. Steps for proctoring: - Clear the lab area of all miscellaneous paperwork, books, and materials. - Allow students two sheets of blank paper and a writing instrument. - Assign one computer per student. - Determine the time allotted for the exam. - Have students log in to ilearning through The Academy SQL Final Exam will be listed in the outline view. Click the "Academy SQL Final Exam" to begin the test. Students will have three opportunities to take and pass the Academy SQL Final Exam. Page 21

26 Hints for taking the exam: - Students must answer all of the questions on each page to continue. - There is no penalty for guessing, so answer every question. - Be careful to select all right answers on questions that ask for more than one. Don't stop looking when you find the first one. - After completing the first page of questions, students must answer all of the questions on the second page before they are allowed to go back to the previous page to change any of their answers. - After completing all 50 questions, click "Finish Test" on the bottom of the last page to continue. - Once "Finish Test" is clicked, students will be taken to another screen that will state "You have completed: 50 out of 50 questions. You must click 'Submit Test' again to officially end the testing session." - Once they submit the exam, all answers are final and Oracle ilearning will correct the exam. - Each exam taker must select Submit Exam ; otherwise, the answers will not be recorded. Have students go to the Oracle ilearning outline and click the appropriate final exam. See Notes below. The time allowed for this exam is 45 minutes. Begin class by asking students if there are any last-minute questions. Answer these questions and have students begin the exam. The final exam will depend on the testing option you have chosen. What to Watch For Students should achieve 60% or better on the exam. Students may retake the exam three times to improve their score and understanding. Connections None. Page 22
