5 Packet Core Enhancements for Internet of Things (IoT) LZU R1A Description Do you want to know about the enhancements introduced in the Ericsson Virtual Evolved Packet Core (vepc) relating to Internet of things (IoT) technology? This course is ideal for the technical staff who need to update their knowledge on the IoT features and enhancements introduced in SGSN-MME, EPG and SAPC. 21 SAPC 17A Overview LZU R1A Description Service-Aware Policy Controller (SAPC) is the new Ericsson Policy Controller. It is the evolution of the Ericsson Classic SAPC product, the multi-access standard-compliant (3GPP PCC, BBF BPCF) Ericsson Policy Server, towards a Linux-based SW architecture. SAPC addresses a broad set of policy needs expanding from Telecom operators (paving the path towards 5G NFV/Cloud based networks) to new Industry and Society customers. The same SAPC software can be deployed as a native Physical Node Function (PNF), also called Classical SAPC, or as a Virtualized Network Function (VNF) on a NFV/Cloud infrastructure (called Virtual SAPC).
