5 EAI 18 Technical Foundation LZU R1A Description This course introduces students to the functionality of the EAI GUI Inventory and Administration Zones. Participants will perform hands-on exercises to create and manage elements and services of a typical telecommunications network using the Inventory Zone and its Workspace. Participants will also use the Administration Zone to focus on administrative tasks that affect the end users management of users, roles, screen layouts, extending user-selectable options and defining additional attributes and picklists. Learning objectives On completion of this course the participants will be able to: 1 Appreciate EAI functionality, architecture, and applications. 1.1 Explain the EAI architecture, EAI Licensing Model and the various optional packages available 2 Explain how various telecom inventory processes can be managed using EAI models and functionality. 2.1 Describe the EAI Object Models and their hierarchy 2.2 Familiarize themselves with the EAI GUI functionality and zones 2.3 Use the EAI GUI to perform both simple and advanced search queries against database records 2.4 Review the hands-on course lab exercise scenarios 3 Work with model objects using the EAI GUI Zones and Views. 3.1 Use the course lab exercise scenario to build a Core Object hierarchy to model a network solution using the Inventory Zone 3.2 Use templates to build new records from the Template Zone 3.3 Explain the new capabilities of the Trail Builder for managing Trail elements in the EAI UI 3.4 Build Wireless and Connectionless models in the EAI GUI 4 Discuss the process and concepts involved to support users and configuration utilizing the Admin zone. 4.1 Create Users, Roles, Perspectives and Domains management 4.2 Build Dynamic Attributes and Pick Lists 4.3 Explain the use of Plugins and Application settings Commercial in Confidence

9 EAI 18 Network Designer and Unified Inventory Engine LZU R1A Description This course teaches the concepts, functionality and operational use of the catalog-driven Network Designer (ND) capabilities working in conjunction with data managed in Ericsson Adaptive Inventory (EAI) to automate the design and assign of service requests. Each student will use the Ericsson Adaptive Inventory UI to define Service Component Definitions (SCDs) and hierarchies that enable the catalog-driven capabilities of Network Designer. Learning objectives On completion of this course the participants will be able to: 1 Explain the role played by Network Designer in automating the Design and Assign operations for network services 1.1 Discuss the business need of ND 1.2 Identify the basic ND architecture, context, and components 1.3 Recognize the terminology and used within ND 1.4 Relate a service to ND service components 1.5 Recognize the operations and provisioning aspects of ND 2 Use the EAI UI to access and interpret the element components used by ND 2.1 Navigate the EAI UI to access ND related zones and components 2.2 View ND service components existing in the EAI database 2.3 View ND elements within the service components 2.4 Relate the ND service components and elements to ND terminology 3 Use the EAI UI to construct SCDs and their associated Service Elements and Connectivity Rules to support a given service automation scenario 3.1 Define Service Component Definition 3.2 Relate SCD to Service Component Catalog and SCD bundle 3.3 Create and configure an SCD and SCD hierarchy 3.4 Add and configure service elements in the SCDs 3.5 Add service element connectivity rules in the SCDs 4 Explain the different Design and Assign operations using the training materials provided 4.1 List the ND operations 4.2 List the input and output of the Design operation 4.3 Recognize the high level Design operation steps 4.4 Recognize a service graph Commercial in Confidence

13 EAI 18 Core Administration LZU R1A Description This instructor-led course teaches participants about basic client setup, advanced administration and customization including other capabilities available for licensing and logging.
