The difference is mainly on which side the handle to carry it is, on which side the wheel of the valve is and if the general orientation is horizontal or vertical. All these basic versions share the same price. Orientation must be specified at the time of order. B: Configuration: 1. Type of Sample Transfer: Single Sample Transfer Storage Sample Transfer The suitcase-manipulator grabs the samples directly from the connected host UHV system (with pincer grip, fork or similar). An external manipulator of the host UHV system, to which the suitcase is connected, actively grabs the samples from the extended suitcase-manipulator's sample storage. 4. The ion pump element with its magnet and housing is identical to the D pump. The NEG element with 200 l/s capacity is a little longer but still fits into the suitcase chamber without modification. 3. Additional RV-Viewport +RV Additional RV-Viewport provides an auxiliary viewpoint, which for example facilitates sample exchange from the storage. Not compatible with SP40 option 4. Additional PV-Viewport +PV Two flanking, welded viewports replace the standard two CF40 flanges with viewports. The greater glazed surfaces of the PV-Viewports provide larger viewing areas. 5. Additional Service Port +SP40 Additional DN40CF Service port for vacuum gauge, electrical feedthrough, etc. 6. Two additional DN16CFT Service Ports +SP2X16 Two additional DN16CFT service ports enable installation of multiple devices like vacuum gauges, electrical feedthroughs and other equipment. 7. Flightcase for UHV suitcase VSN40SFLIGHTCASE Professional Flightcase for traveling around the world with the NexGeneration UHV Suitcase. 8. Bake-out tent and heating module VSN40SBT-HE Multi-piece heat tent, including an add-on heating module to bake-out vacuum suitcases. Features type K thermocouple for temperature measurement. 3/10

4 9. Transfer chamber with LN2 cryo trap VSCT40 Enables fast transfer of a sample from a portable UHV-Suitcase into the UHV-System. Vacuum in the transfer chamber is created using a turbo pump as well as a cryogenic pump. 10. Compact DN40CF T-piece VSTEE40 Compact DN40CF T-piece used as buffer volume on sample interchange systems. 11. Compact DN40CF T-piece VSCROSS40RL80 Ultra-Compact DN40CF Cross used as buffer volume between a UHV-system and a vacuum suitcase. 4/10
