1 Controls by Monodraught HTM F General Description The Smart Screen Controller is a high quality interface that provides a graphical insight into the operation of Monodraught ventilation systems. Through the capacitive touchscreen interface a user can explore how the systems work, adjust settings and find out information on the system in order to maintain a comfortable environment with minimal energy use. 2 Controls and User Interface The Smart Screen s display is divided into 3 sections. Home Screen The Home Screen will display one of three images indicating which mode the HTM is currently running in. Mixed Ventilation rises above 900 ppm External temp falls below 15 C above 22 C - Summer, 23 C - Spring/Autumn, 24 C - Winter Fan utilised to mix fresh external air and warm room air to create fresh tempered air Natural Ventilation rises above 900 ppm above 18 C Summer, 21 C - Spring/Autumn, 22 C - Winter Both dampers open allowing fresh air into the space Boost Ventilation rises above 1100ppm above 22 C Summer, 24 C - Spring/Autumn, 25 C - Winter Fan is utilised to force fresh air into the space Mixed Mode Season Information Ribbon This will display to the user the time CO2 level, fan speed and internal temperature and is common across each functionality display of the system. The ribbon features: Time and Date in the top-left corner The CO 2 Level via a colour system Green indicates CO2 level less than 1000 ppm and that the air quality is good Orange indicates CO2 level between 1000 ppm and 1200 ppm and that CO2 levels are rising Red indicates the CO2 has reached 1200 ppm and that additional ventilation may be required The current Fan Speed The Room Temperature The Manual Window open/close indicator is displayed on the top-right corner. If additional ventilation is required it will display the Windows Opening icon in order to inform the user. Setting Screen Menu This displays functions offered to the user; Return to Homepage, Change Fan Speed and View System Information. These buttons allow the user to select which information is shown in the Graphic Display. The Setting Screen allows manual override of the Fan Speed and additional VENTSAIR façade systems, when present. Graphic Display This will relay system information to the user via three main pages with regards to; the mode the system is operating in, the fan controls and the system information. Home Settings Information The Homepage displays the system s current operation mode along with the External, Internal and Supply air temperatures. This will allow the user to control the fan speed as well as the amount the ventsair louvres are opened by. Pressing auto will revert the fan speed or louvre to automatic settings. This display will provide details about the various operating modes and how they work. The fan override allows adjustment of the fan speed. Please note that changes in fan speed may not be instantaneous due to current damper positions, the damper must be open in order for the fan to work. The louvre override allows adjustment of the VENTSAIR façade systems (if present). The systems can be set to 0%, 10%, 25%, 60% and 100% open. In both cases the Auto button returns the corresponding override back to automatic mode. info@monodraught.com / +44 (0)

3 Standby Screen After a few minutes without any interaction, the screen will show a default display featuring the Monodraught logo, time and date. This will be displayed alongside the CO 2 colours, fan speed, temperature and open windows indicator. Fitting Instructions The smart controller housing is to be fixed into position either on a single pattress box or straight to the wall via two screws as detailed below. The screen itself is fitted within the housing via a push fit connection Ø Maintenance Screen The Maintenance Screen is designed to be accessed by a Monodraught engineer or facility manager to gain a better understanding of how the system is performing and whether any faults have occurred. Dimensions [mm] The screen displays the current reading of each sensor within the system, along with the damper positions and operation mode, these will update in real time. The temperature offset can be adjusted to allow calibration of the system. The SmartScreen has the ability to perform a self-test operation by running a diagnostics test on the HTM to search for any faults with the system. 4 Temperature and CO 2 Sensor Module Wiring Details The SmartScreen works in conjunction with a modular combined CO 2 & temperature sensor with a CO 2 range of ppm and a temperature range of 0 50 C.
