1 Printronix Training Program, Terms and conditions Commitment Facilities The Printronix Training Center offers training classes for field maintenance and field repair and application setup of Printronix and TallyGenicom products. Theory discussions, demonstrations and hands-on activities enable the student to learn and practice the skills required for efficient field service and maintenance necessary to efficiently support our product lines. Led by Printronix staffs of highly trained and experienced instructors, these classes are structured to include hands-on-labs, theory of operation, diagnosis of equipment failures, preventive- and corrective maintenance requirements and -procedures. Customized classes designed to meet your specific needs are available upon request. Our Training Center is fully equipped to provide training on all products produced by Printronix LLC. 1.0 Training Information We are located at: Bijsterhuizen AS Nijmegen The Netherlands Tel: +31 (0) Prerequisites For best results students attending the technical training courses should have previous experience in the maintenance of computer systems and/or peripheral equipment and/or background in digital electronics with an ability to understand schematics and logic diagrams. The Customer Support Training Department neither assumes responsibility for, nor makes any claims regarding a student s capabilities upon course completion. Experience, however, indicates that when a student does not meet the basic prerequisites above, the student will have difficulty mastering the content of the course. Standard Courses Training Schedule Laptop Certification Our standard - technical - training courses will familiarize the student with the theory of operation, corrective and preventive maintenance procedures and diagnosis of equipment failures. Approximately one-half of the time is devoted to classroom lectures and the remaining time is spent performing removal and replacement procedures and troubleshooting techniques. With standard firmware and software related products - the application courses - we concentrate more on interfacing, installation and applications information. For an overview of the offered Standard Training Courses, please refer to the current Training Schedule as distributed by Printronix once per year. Students should bring their laptop as will be required in exercises in downloading and software handling as well as to store documentation as will be supplied. After completion of each training course, students will be examined. If the student passes the exam, a certificate will be handed out. This certificate will be valid for FOUR years. Regular refresh training to stay up-to-date and certified is required. 1

2 1.0 Training Information (continued) On-site Training Enrolment Policy The customer can arrange to have training courses conducted at his facility, contact for scheduling. The instructor will provide the necessary handouts needed for the course. An adequate classroom, the necessary printers, basic tools, a white board and an overhead projector are required and should be supplied by the customer. Travel and hotel costs for the instructor are to be carried by the customer. The Customer Support Training Department encourages early enrolments as classes are limited and some classes fill-up quickly. Please confirm enrolment(s) in writing, using the Training Course Enrolment Form. Enrolments will be confirmed by on a first-come, first-serve base. Enrollees will be given first priority for the next scheduled class. Plus Training fee per current Printronix Pricelist The enrollment fee includes handouts and lunches. Attendees pay for their travel and living expenses. Printronix will arrange for all transportation unless otherwise agreed between parties involved. Actual living expenses (hotel, food). The partner is responsible for providing printers and tools. One printer of each model for every 4 participants (required for hands-on session). Minimum number of participants: 4 Maximum number of participants: 8 If required Printronix can make test printers available for a fee Cancellation Policy: If a training course is cancelled by the requestor within two weeks before the training date, the enrollment fee will be charged to the requestor. If an on-site training is cancelled by the requestor, the registration fee and all cancellation costs (flight and hotel) will be charged to the requestor. Printronix reserves the right to cancel training courses at Printronix facility if too few registrations have been received for that particular training. Requestors will be informed at least two weeks before the training date. Webinar: On special request, Printronix can offer training in Webinar format. A webinar is an online conference in which you can follow the training course via Internet. Note that this is offered as refresh training only, as hands-on training is not possible. Emphasis is placed on hands-on-training which includes removal and replacement, adjustment, preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. 5 Course Descriptions (continued) PNE Software ( PrintNet Enterprise) This course is designed to enable the student to get familiar with the PNE-Software. The PNE-software is a Printronix Printer Manager utility. It allows to organize and to control all of the Printronix printers remotely in a single database, download software and printer settings from a host computer, and use a virtual operator s panel to configure printers everywhere situated. The course is application oriented and will consist of lectures and hands-on exercises. 6 Course Descriptions (continued) IGP/PGL (Intelligent Graphics Printing: PTX Protocol) This course is designed to enable the student to install, configure and test the IGP products identified below and to program them using the Printronix PGL graphics language. It is both hardware and applications oriented and will consist of lectures and hands-on-exercises. The forms will be programmed using a PC output to a Printronix impact or non-impact printer equipped with the IGP facility.
