6 INSTRUCTOR LED TRAINING DESCRIPTIONS M3 Cliq ecylinder Product Certification The Medeco Cliq ecylinder Product Certification is a 6 hour training class for those who want to receive in-depth instruction on M3 Cliq and Classic Cliq products. The features, benefits and capabilities of Classic and Vertical Cliq as well as system requirements, M3 Cliq cylinder pinning and software including standalone and web based with hands-on activities is included. ($75 per student) Medeco XT ecylinder Product Certification The Medeco XT Certification is a 4 hour training class for those who want to gain in-depth information on the Medeco XT product line and software. The features, benefits and capabilities of Medeco XT, software system requirements, ordering and setup as well as basic hands on Medeco XT software training is included. ($55 per student) Medeco 3 Certification The Medeco 3 Certification class is an 8 hour technical training class on Medeco High Security Locks. The course covers the operation of door hardware cylinders, cam locks, Medeco style interchangeable core, and M3 BiLevel. Hands-on exer cises are used to disassemble and assemble a Medeco 3 mortise cylinder, decode a Medeco3 key, pin a cylinder to a decoded key and masterkey. Matrix master key reading, usable code rules, levels of key control, as well as M3 Cliq as a component to a complete system are also covered. ($95 per student) Medeco x4 Certification This class covers the design and operation of Classic KeyMark and Medeco x4 products. Hands-on exercises include calculating an A2 pinning matrix, decoding a Medeco x4 key, and pinning a small format interchangeable core to the decoded key, control key, and master key. Other styles of large format interchangeable core cylinders are included as well as cam locks and conventional cylinders This is a 4 hr. course. ($55 per student) Medeco ecylinder The Medeco ecylinder Cliq and Medeco XT Product Review is a 4 hour class for those who want to receive a basic understanding of M3 Cliq, Classic Cliq, Medeco XT and Aperio products. Each product technology has different benefits for specific applications that you will be able to identify following this class. The features, benefits and capabilities of the various ecylinder technologies, as well as system requirements are included. Led

7 INSTRUCTOR LED TRAINING DESCRIPTIONS SPECIALTY CLASSES: Developing & Managing Key Control Policies & Procedures This 4 hour course includes a policies and procedures manual that aids in developing an effective key management system. (university@medeco.com) Master Keying Fundamentals This basic master key class covers terminology, single and two step progressions, TMK selection, KBA design, and dividing the key, and the use of incidental keys. Standard key coding, the basics of site surveys, key system planning, and conducting a keying conference are also covered. ($55 per student) Advanced Master Keying This 4 hour course assumes an understanding of basic master key fundamentals. As an advanced course topics such as selective keying, cross keying and rotating constant bitting lists are reviewed. The techniques used to extrapolate a master key system are also covered, as well as practice in methods to design a system that is symmetrical or asymmetrical and matrix master keying. 12 CURRICULUM The includes three levels: Certified Security Technician Certified Security Specialist Medeco Master Security Specialist While it is ideal to be able to attend instructor led training, this is not always an option. Each of the levels may be obtained via the Medeco-Arrow University online. Certified Security Technician (Technical certification) Successful completion of technical training and testing certifies competency is specific products. While most products currently involve classroom training, some products are trained via webinar. Proof of successful completion includes a paper or electronic certificate. Previous certification by Medeco will be recognized at this level. Certified Security Specialist (Solutions certification) The Certified Security Specialist includes additional training on features and benefits as they apply to a consumer or end users needs. There are a number of different types of training at this level including videos, webinars and online materials. While these courses are available to anyone, a technician must also be a Certified Security Technician before they can achieve the Certified Security Specialist level. Certified Master Security Specialist The Certified Master Security Specialist status is achieved when all technical and product specialist training is complete for a electronic or mechanical products and the technician shows proof of competency. Ongoing updates will be made available regularly and are required to maintain Certified Master Security Specialist status. Led

13 DISTRIBUTOR CERTIFIED PARTNER The Certified Partner includes three levels: Certified Partner Certified Partner - Gold Certified Partner - Platinum While it may be ideal to attend instructor led training, it is not always possible or practical. with multiple delivery methods has been developed for Certified Partners to effectively provide the information needed to support Medeco and Arrow as a distributor partner. Certified Partner Product line training is conducted via webinar, on the Medeco- Arrow University online, and by Business Development Representatives. Certified Partner Gold The must complete the Certified Partner Basic level. Additionally, a majority of the distributor sales staff must complete the training the distributor certified partner training to become a Gold Level Certified Partner. Certified Partner Platinum The must complete the Basic and Gold levels. Brand Champion attends training at the Medeco factory to achieve the Platinum level. 14 SETTING UP TRAINING Classes are held across North America and elsewhere in the world periodically on a variety of topics. If you have a need for a class and would like to coordinate setting it up, the process is detailed here. The Medeco factory can provide a highly skilled and vetted instructor. Contact your Medeco representative to begin the process. They may contact the training department, or may ask you to contact the department directly.
