5 Course 1: Basic Technical Training for Thermoformers (2.5 days) For machine operators, new maintenance technicians, and personnel responsible for package quality and machine operation. Prerequisites for Admission: None Description: Students will learn how to engage in the set-up and operation of MULTIVAC thermoformers, in order to achieve optimum production readiness of the machine. Targeted information and tips will help to avoid incorrect settings and detect faults. Above all, they will be familiarized with the safe handling of the machines. Course Contents: Machine safety Machine sequence for forming/evacuation/sealing Web width tolerances and film quality Adjustment of film unwind systems MULTIVAC controls/user display Adjustment of gripper chain advance system Overview of die lifting system Register mark control Location: MULTIVAC Packaging Technology Center, Brampton, ON. 6 Course 2: Advanced Technical Training for Thermoformers (2.5 days) For experienced maintenance technicians, operators, and supervisors who have completed the Multi-Skills Technical Training Course. Prerequisites for Admission: Course 1: Multi-Skills Technical Training for Thermoformers Description: Students will review the operation, processes, and functions of the MULTIVAC thermoformer and thermoformer components, directly relating them to both pneumatic and electrical schematics. Furthermore, all pneumatic and electrical components are explained. Students will correctly check, set, service and repair machine components. Finally, they will detect, troubleshoot, and eliminate simulated faults. Course Contents: Machine safety Review of Packaging Process Tracing MULTIVAC electronic safety circuits Tracing MULTIVAC power supply Tracing pneumatics and electronics for forming, evacuation, sealing, die lifting and advance Relating machine sequence to MULTIVAC schematics Vacuum manifold valves Seal die bladders, springs, and seal bar Troubleshooting pneumatics and electronics Location: MULTIVAC Packaging Technology Center, Brampton, ON. 7 Course 3: Troubleshooting Training for Thermoformers (3 days) For experienced maintenance technicians and supervisors who are responsible for the maintenance of MULTIVAC rollstock packaging machines. Prerequisites for Admission: Course 1: Multi-Skills Technical Training for Thermoformers, and Course 2: Advanced Technical Training for Thermoformers Description: Students will gain both comprehensive and practical knowledge on the subjects of fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting. They are given a number of real world electric and pneumatic faults to enhance troubleshooting, including vacuum troubleshooting. Course Contents: Fault finding in IPC0X System Troubleshooting the safety systems, including Twinsafe Troubleshooting faults in the chain and advance system Troubleshooting faults in the forming and sealing systems Troubleshooting vacuum leaks Location: MULTIVAC Packaging Technology Center, Brampton, ON. 8 Course 4: Labeler Training (3 days) For maintenance technicians and supervisors who are responsible for the set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of MULTIVAC labeler models. Prerequisites for Admission: None Description: This course provides comprehensive knowledge about the operations, electrical and pneumatic components, and troubleshooting of labelers. The course can be tailored to your specific training needs and machine. Comprehensive view of traysealing along with troubleshooting tips and techniques to help maximize setup and troubleshooting. Prerequisites for Admission: Course 1: Multi-Skills Technical Training for Thermoformers Description: This course consists of a series of modules which can be tailored to your specific training needs and robot model. The modules convey basic knowledge about industrial robots and MULTIVAC handling modules. They proceed with in-depth operating parameters of a specific robot model, and end with a detailed description of the areas of application for the individual MULTIVAC handling robot. Prerequisites for Admission: Course 1: Multi-Skills Technical Training for Thermoformers Description: The course participants begin by preparing a machine for cleaning. Then they learn step-by-step, how the machine should be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the manufacturer standards. The machine is subsequently put back into operation.
