3 5 LINEA PREMISE is an intrusion detection system which has moved into the world of indoor security houses, offices, banks and businesses the same technologies developed by DEA Security for the outdoor perimeter protection of high risk compounds such as airports and power plants. Among those technologies we can mention the identification of each sensor under alarm (Point ID), the sensor self-test, the centralization of the alarm signals and the remote management of the system over IP. Currently product line is composed of two different families of piezoelectric sensors: XS-DOOR, for the protection of doors, windows and skylights, and XS-GRID, for the protection of metal grates. XS-DOOR sensors detect shocks, breakthrough and opening events, whilst XS-GRID sensors detect shocks, breakthrough and cut. The latter have been designed for outdoor use, therefore they are equipped with a heavy-duty housing and with cable protected with flexible metal conduit. sensors are all addressable, therefore they are unequivocally identified; they contain a piezoceramic transducer, which is a virtually inexhaustible device which combines superior detection capability and very high tolerance towards environmental disturbances. The detectors communicate with the XS-CTRL Controller boards: the most powerful of them can manage up to 128 sensors on two independent communication buses, 64 sensors per bus. These boards allow you to easily configure and monitor even the most complex systems: both from a locally connected PC (USB) and from remote station (Ethernet or Wi-Fi*) you can calibrate and program sensors, view their status and the alarm signals, monitor their operating parameters and the link quality. The sensors must be connected in series, but very soon a star connection will be possible using the XS-HUB device: this will simplify the cabling of systems distributed on different sections or floors of a building. can integrate other devices using XS-PU interface peripheral board: as a matter of fact the system can also employ SERIE A03 detectors and manage the alarm signals coming from third-party devices equipped with dry contacts. * An access point or a Wi-Fi router are needed.

4 SENSORS SENSORS XS-DOOR sensor for doors and windows Part number SN-XS-DR Point ID piezodynamic sensor for the protection of windows and doors against shocks, breakthrough and opening. The model providing the opening detection employs an electronic magnetic sensor with anti-masking function. The sensor can be provided with either a thicker or a thinner mounting base: the former is compatible with the use of flexible metal conduit wrapping the connection cable. 11 INSTRUCTIONS 20 INSTRUCTIONS for the use and installation of intrusion detection system perimeter intrusion detection system consists of a wide range of shock sensors for the protection of doors, windows, glass doors and windows, metal grates and walls. The sensors perceive the shocks (single or repeated) and the vibrations due to an attack to the physical barrier to which they are installed (for example a door or a window) following an intrusion attempt, either real or simulated. Thanks to sophisticated analysis algorithms, system offers a very high tolerance to environmental nuisances and superior detection capability. The operating parameters of each sensor can be set by the professional installer which can choose the desidered protection level. As a matter of fact, the installer can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor and its detection capability (security level) to obtain the best performance on the specific protected structure/surface. The detection capability of system, in its several applications, depends not only on the settings but also on the installation conditions. As a matter of fact the performance of the sensor varies according to the dimensions, the thickness and the material of the protected surface/ structure. For this reason you should always check the correct functioning of the system by simulating the impacts which are to be detected and by adjusting the sensitivity and the security level of each single sensor accordingly. The detection capability of system can be set by the professional installer up to very high levels in order to perceive and detect very sophisticated attack methods which are carried out with great care.
