1 Introduction The following specification describes the Toshiba Super Digital Inverter Heat Pump air conditioning system(s) to be installed at the site below: (ADD SITE NAME) The system(s) shall consist of the following components. It shall be the responsibility of the nominated installer to supply and install these system components in accordance with Toshiba Installation Guidelines. 1) Toshiba Super Digital Inverter external air cooled condensing unit(s) 2) Toshiba Super Digital Inverter compatible type indoor units 3) Interconnecting control wiring from Outdoor Unit(s) to Indoor Unit(s) 4) Toshiba TCC Link Integrated Controls 5) Interconnecting refrigerant pipe work from Outdoor Unit(s) to Indoor Unit(s). Indoor Air Temperature 0 C db C db (562/802) -20 (1104/1404) 0 C db C wb 28-0 C db C wb 15 - Maximum indoor Humidity % RH 80 System Description The installation shall provide an energy efficient R410A Direct Expansion (DX) comfort air conditioning system(s) to the designated area(s)/zone(s) as per the (insert either equipment schedules, drawings, schematics etc) attached, utilising Toshiba Digital Inverter Heat Pump system(s) and shall be installed in accordance with relevant codes of practice and regulations. The system(s) shall comprise of a Toshiba Super Digital Inverter Heat Pump outdoor unit connected to 1 or 2 Super Digital Inverter 4-Way Cassette/Ducted/High-Wall/Ceiling type heat pump indoor fan coil units. It is recommended that the air conditioning installing contractor is a Refcom Certified Toshiba Additions Member. Full details on our website: Customer Support.

2 The system(s) shall be controlled with Toshiba s TCC-Link controls system selected in accordance with the specific control requirements detailed below: (Insert controls requirements) DELETE WARRANTIES THAT DO NOT APPLY All equipment supplied shall have a manufacturer s warranty of at least 3-years on all parts and labour in accordance with Toshiba s warranty and installation guidelines. Equipment to be installed by a Toshiba Registered installer or Qualified or Accredited All equipment supplied shall have a manufacturer s warranty of 5-years on all parts and labour in accordance with Toshiba s warranty and installation guidelines. Equipment to be installed by a Toshiba Qualified or Accredited installer. All equipment supplied shall have a manufacturer s 7 year Total Peace of Mind (TPM) warranty on all parts and labour in accordance with Toshiba s warranty and installation guidelines. Equipment to be installed by a Toshiba Accredited (TPM) installer. Design Criteria The air conditioning system(s) shall be designed and equipment selected to conform to the following design criteria: Internal Conditions Summer 22 C db, 50% RH Winter 21 C db External Conditions Summer 29 C db, 21.5 C wb Winter -5 C db System Specification The system(s) shall be of the Toshiba Super Digital Inverter Heat Pump variety. The system will be capable of both heating and cooling. Each system will use non-ozone depleting HFC refrigerant R410A. These systems can be used for replacement technology, re-using old pipework designed for old R22 & R407C refrigerants* (provided the existing pipework meets currrent legislation regarding the pressure rating of R410A) The system shall allow a user-driven operating environment to be established where users can directly request their own choice of temperature and on/off control etc. The equipment must be suitable for operating on a Volt, single-phase, 50 Hz supply. It shall not be necessary to include oil traps, sight glasses, or external driers. The access panel shall be easily removable for servicing. The condensing unit shall be fitted with its own electrical compartment with all necessary electrical and control components. The casing shall be manufactured from Galvatite steel plate with a Silky Shade (Munsell 1Y ) electrostatic spray finish protected to IP X4 and shall contain the following components: Inverter Driven Twin Rotary Compressor The compressor shall be of the twin rotary type and driven by a High-Speed Calculation Vector Control Inverter, creating seamless capacity control to match the connected indoor unit(s) cooling or heating demand. Fixed speed compressors of any type are not to be used. The compressor shall be factory mounted on springs and shock-absorbing rubber to minimise vibration. Heat Exchanger The heat exchanger shall be factory constructed of rifled copper tubing, mechanically bonded to aluminium fins. The aluminium fin material shall be coated with a double synthetic hydrophilic coating to prevent corrosion and to assist condensate dispersal. The condensing coil shall have a large surface area to minimize noise and maximise heat transfer. Fan and Motor Each outdoor unit is to be fitted with no more than a single fan. The fan shall be a three-blade, flash-wing, low noise type and shall be both dynamically and statically balanced to produce minimum noise and vibration. The fan shall be directly coupled and driven by a drip proof, permanently lubricated variable speed high-efficiency inverter controlled motor. The outdoor fan speed shall be matched automatically to the energy demands of the heat exchanger. The fan must be able to overcome an external static resistance of 15Pa. Suction Line Accumulator The cylindrical accumulator shall be fabricated from press formed mild steel plates. The accumulator shall have sufficient capacity to prevent any liquid refrigerant from flowing back into the compressor section. Additional Features & Safety Devices: 4-way reversing valve, solenoid valves, pulse-modulating valve, strainer, dryer, service valves with 5/16 gauge ports, thermal protection for compressor, recycling guard timer, over-current protection, compressor suction and discharge temperature sensors, terminals, internal wiring and controls. A pulse-modulating valve will provide capacity control by maintaining suction temperatures of between 1 and 5 K higher than the evaporator inlet temperature additionally, the indoor heat exchanger will be limited to temperatures of no less than 2ºC when cooling. The outdoor unit will automatically defrost in the heating cycle.

4 Indoor Units Each indoor unit shall be from Toshiba s Digital Inverter range of units and must operate on Volt, single-phase, 50 Hz supply taken from the outdoor unit. It must be fully compatible with all TCC-Link network systems, including a self-diagnostic TCC-Link remote controller or TCC-Link central controller with LCD to set mode, room temperature, timer, louvre (as applicable), fan speed and on/off functions. In the event of a fault, an alphanumeric malfunction code will be displayed. An auxiliary 12V DC output is to be available using the CN32 connection. This can be used to operate a ventilation fan via a relay (RBC-SMFI) when the indoor unit is operated. The heat exchanger shall be factory constructed of rifled copper tubing, mechanically bonded to aluminium fins. The aluminium fin material shall be coated with a hydrophilic coating to prevent corrosion and to assist condensate dispersal. The coil shall have a large surface area to minimize noise and maximise heat transfer. A fully insulated condensate drip tray must be fitted, which spans the full width of the coil connections and complete with a drain connection point. All indoor units are provided with a return air temperature sensor. The heat exchanger will be protected against excessive temperatures both low and high. Cold draughts will be avoided when heating by automatically stopping the indoor fan motor when the heat exchanger is too cold. Excess heat is to be dissipated by operating the indoor fan motor for a further 30 seconds after unit shutdown. The evaporator fan shall be of the multi-blade type, performance matched to the coil. The fan shall be statically and dynamically balanced to ensure low noise and vibration free operation and be driven by a permanently lubricated configurable DC motor with speed control and stall protection and fitted with maintenance free sealed-for-life sleeve bearings. 4-Way Cassette RAV-SM564UTP-E RAV-SM804UTP-E RAV-SM1104UTP-E RAV-SM1404UTP-E RAV-SM1604UTP-E The unit will be manufactured from galvanised steel sheet, insulated with closed cell expanded polyurethane foam. Knockouts are to be incorporated into the main chassis of the unit: One to provide a fresh-air intake facility to allow up to 10% fresh air (un-tempered) to be introduced into the conditioned space via the unit; Three further discharge ports (2 on one side and 1 on the opposite side) are to enable a maximum of 2 spur ducts to be fitted to supply improved air distribution characteristics in irregular shaped rooms or to provide nominal cooling to adjacent areas. An integral condensate lift pump is provided with a 640mm lift capability from the drain outlet. The cassette fascia panel is to be manufactured from ABS plastic, finished in Moon White (Munsell 2.5GY 9.0/0.5) and complete with four synchronised, motor driven, fully adjustable discharge louvres. Each corner of the panel shall be removable to provide access to the drop rods to enable precise height adjustment. The airflow from the unit is to be configurable from the remote controller to compensate for high ceilings. The central return air grille must be

5 fitted with a washable, long life air filter. An optional kit shall be made available (ref: TCB- BC1602UE) incorporating blockers to allow up to two air discharge ports to be closed to create a 2, or 3-way discharge pattern as required. An optional infrared remote control kit with inclusive temperature sensor (ref: RBC- AX32U(W)-E is to be available). Compact (600 x 600) 4-Way Cassette RAV-SM404MUT-E RAV-SM564MUT-E The unit will be manufactured from galvanised steel sheet, insulated with closed cell expanded polyurethane foam. Knockouts are to be incorporated into the main chassis of the unit: One to provide a fresh-air intake facility to allow up to 10% fresh air (un-tempered) to be introduced into the conditioned space; Two further discharge ports (1 on each side) are to enable a maximum of 2 spur ducts to be fitted to supply improved air distribution characteristics in irregular shaped rooms or to provide nominal cooling to adjacent areas. An integral condensate lift pump is to be provided with a 627 mm lift capability from the drain outlet. The cassette fascia panel is to be manufactured from ABS plastic, finished in Moon White (Munsell 2.5GY 9.0/0.5) and complete with four synchronised, motor driven, fully adjustable discharge louvres. Return air is to flow through the lower rear of the unit to allow for the return air to be taken from the conditioned space, or taken from the ceiling void. A knockout is to be provided to allow up to 10% fresh air (un-tempered) to be introduced into the conditioned space via the unit. An integral condensate lift pump is to be provided with a 271mm lift capability from the drain outlet. An optional filter kit is to be available and is to include a disposable, long life air filter and shelter plates to convert the return air location from the lower rear, to the back of the unit.

6 An optional infrared remote control kit with inclusive temperature sensor (ref: TCB-AX32E2) is to be available. Ducted RAV-SM406BTP-E RAV-SM566BTP-E RAV-SM806BTP-E RAV-SM1106BTP-E RAV-SM1406BTP-E RAV-SM1606BTP-E The unit will be manufactured from galvanised steel sheet, insulated with closed cell expanded polyurethane foam. The DC fan motor will be configurable, allowing a maximum external static resistance of 100 Pa to be overcome. Return air is to flow through the lower rear of the unit to allow for the return air to be taken from the conditioned space, or taken from the ceiling void. A knockout is to be provided to allow up to 10% fresh air (un-tempered) to be introduced into the conditioned space via the unit. An integral condensate lift pump is to be provided with a 271mm lift capability from the drain outlet. An optional filter kit is to be available and is to include a disposable, long life air filter and shelter plates to convert the return air location from the lower rear, to the back of the unit. An optional infrared remote control kit with inclusive temperature sensor (ref: TCB-AX32E2) is to be available. Optional spigot kits are available as follows:- TCB-SF56C6BE (2 x 200 spigots (406 / 566BT)) TCB-SF80C6BE (3 x 200 spigots (806BT)) TCB-SF160C6BE (4 x 200 spigots (1106 / 1406 / 1606BT)) Ceiling Suspended RAV-SM407CTP-E RAV-SM567CTP-E RAV-SM807CTP-E RAV-SM1107CTP-E RAV-SM1407CTP-E RAV-SM1607CTP-E The unit will be manufactured from galvanised steel sheet, insulated with closed cell expanded polyurethane foam and encased in an ABS plastic shell, finished in Shine White. A front mounted, motor driven, fully adjustable louvre is to be fitted. Primary, manually set louvres are to be incorporated to assist the air spread given by the motorised louvre. Return air is to flow through washable, long life air filters mounted within the intake grilles on the underside of the unit. A rear knockout is to be incorporated into the main chassis of the unit to allow up to 10% fresh air (un-tempered) to be introduced into the conditioned space via the unit.

7 Optional infrared remote control kit (ref: RBC-AX33CE2) and drain pump (ref: TCB- DP22CE) are to be available. High-Wall RAV-SM407KRTP-E RAV-SM566KRT-E RAV-SM806KRT-E The unit will be manufactured from galvanised steel sheet, insulated with closed cell expanded polyurethane foam and encased in an ABS plastic shell, finished in Pure White. A lower front mounted, motor driven, fully adjustable louvre is to be fitted. Primary, manually set louvres are to be incorporated to assist the air spread given by the motorised louvre. Return air is to flow through washable air filters mounted within the intake grilles on the upper front of the unit. An infra-red controller is to be supplied as standard. Refrigerant Pipework All pipework shall be manufactured using de-oxidised, refrigerant quality copper to BS EN 1057:1996, and must be heat-treated as follows: 6.4mm (1/4 ) OD to 15.9mm (5/8 ) OD - Soft, Half Hard or Hard Tempered The length/height difference parameters and outside diameter of all piping is to be in accordance with the appropriate Toshiba manuals. Interconnecting Controls Wiring The nominated installer shall be responsible for the following interconnecting controls wiring: 3-core & earth = Outdoor unit to Indoor Unit (1, 2, 3) 2-core, non-polar = Indoor units to Remote Controller (A, B) 2-core, twisted, screened, non-polar = External Controls Network (U3, U4 and/or X, Y) All electrical wiring, bonding and earthing shall be in accordance with the current edition of BS 7671: 2008 (IEE Wiring Regulations 17 th Edition). The voltages stated are EC harmonised voltages, but the equipment shall be suitable for volts single phase. Controls

Simplified TCC-Link Remote Controller RBC-AS41E The remote controller(s) shall be surface mounted and hard wired to the indoor unit(s) via the AB connections, to provide the user with either local individual control of the air-conditioned space, or group control of upto 8 indoor units. The controller shall be manufactured in ABS plastic with a liquid crystal display (LCD). A temperature sensor is to be incorporated within the casing to allow the user to set the sensing point at the controller, or at the indoor unit. The controller shall display an alphanumeric fault code in the event of system malfunction. The controller shall provide control of the following primary functions: Start/stop. Operating mode (auto, cool, heat, dry, fan only). Temperature set point (18 C to 29 C). Fan speed (high, medium, low & auto). Louvre position (where applicable). Filter check. Test run (heating & cooling). Standard TCC-Link Remote Controller RBC-AMT32E The remote controller(s) shall be surface mounted and hard wired to the indoor unit(s) via AB connections, to provide the user with either local individual control of the air-conditioned space, or group control of up to 8 indoor units. The controller shall be manufactured in ABS plastic with a liquid crystal display (LCD). A temperature sensor is to be incorporated within the casing to allow the user to set the sensing point at the controller, or at the indoor unit. The controller shall enable the user to interrogate the system and display an alphanumeric fault code in the event of system malfunction. The controller shall be able to provide control or indicate status of the following functions: Start/stop. Operating mode (auto, cool, heat, dry, fan only). Temperature set point (18 C to 29 C). Fan speed (high, medium, low & auto). Louvre position (where applicable). Individual Louvre Control (where applicable). Filter check. Test run (heating & cooling). Minimum and maximum temperature settings in each mode Dead band between heating and cooling. Stratification control.

The controller shall be manufactured in ABS plastic with a liquid crystal display (LCD). A temperature sensor is to be incorporated within the casing to allow the user to set the sensing point at the controller, or at the indoor unit. The controller shall enable the user to interrogate the system and display an alphanumeric fault code in the event of system malfunction. 10 space, or group control of up to 8 indoor units. The controller shall be manufactured in ABS plastic with a liquid crystal display (LCD). A temperature sensor is to be incorporated within the casing to allow the user to set the sensing point at the controller, or at the indoor unit. The controller shall enable the user to interrogate the system and display an alphanumeric fault code in the event of system malfunction. The controller shall be able to provide control or indicate status of the following functions: Start/stop. Operating mode (auto, cool, heat, dry, fan only). Temperature set point (18 C to 29 C). Fan speed (high, medium, low & auto). Louvre position (where applicable). Filter check. Test run (heating & cooling). It should be connected via a dedicated 4-core lead supplied with the timer. The weekly timer shall be surface mounted and manufactured in ABS plastic with a liquid crystal display. The controller shall provide up to 3 on/off periods per day in a 7-day cycle with a day omit capability. In addition the controller shall be able to auto-restart the whole system after a power failure and have 100 hours backup memory.

11 TCC-Link Central Controller TCB-SC642TLE2 TOSHIBA A central controller shall be surface mounted and hard wired to the indoor unit(s) via the U3, U4 network (made available by the use of a TCB-PCNT30TLE), to provide the user with individual control of up to 64 master indoor units. The controller shall be manufactured in ABS plastic with a liquid crystal display. It shall be supplied from a v AC 50Hz power source. A maximum of 10 central control devices must be able to be fitted to a single control network (U3, U4). It must be possible to switch the controller on and off from a remote source via a volt-free contact connected across the A series terminals. The B series terminals must provide operation and general fault outputs. The controller shall enable the user to interrogate the system and display an alphanumeric fault code for each control group in the event of malfunction. The central controller shall display status and provide control of the following primary functions for each master indoor unit: Start/stop. Operating mode (auto, cool, heat, dry, fan only). Temperature set point (18 C to 29 C). Fan speed (high, medium, low & auto). Louvre position (where applicable). Filter check. Automatic or manual central control addressing with the further option to provide this from the controller. In addition the central controller shall facilitate the use of remote controllers (RBC-AMT32E, RBC-AMS41E, RBC-AMS51E-ES or RBC-AS41E) to provide the user with localised control of the air-conditioned space. When remote controllers are used, each master unit must have the capability to control up to 7 slave units if required (all will operate to the same conditions as the master unit). The central controller can restrict the operation of local controllers, preventing changes being made to: On /off settings. On/off, mode and temperature settings. Mode and temperature settings. Mode settings. When used in conjunction with a weekly timer (TCB-EXS21TLE) the following configurable relationships must be available: Indoor units are turned on/off with the weekly timer and remain open to local override for one time period. Indoor units are turned off with the weekly timer and rely on local override to operate for one time period. Indoor units have on/off control disabled with the weekly timer and rely on local override to operate for one ON time period. Indoor units are stopped and have on/off control disabled with the weekly timer and rely on local override to operate for one ON time period. TCC-Link Central Compliant Manager Controller (Low Specification Model) BMS-CM1280TLE A central controller shall be surface mounted and hard wired to the outdoor unit(s). The compliant manager is capable of controlling 128 indoor units from a single location. The device has the facility to set all of the operating parameters for individual or zoned indoor units, whether they are VRF or individual spilt systems. It is also capable of displaying individual fault codes for any units on the network. The controller is normally used on an installation where there are multiple indoor units in one location. It gives the ability to link multiple refrigerant systems together for time clock control and to give an indication of any faults within the systems. There are auxiliary inputs for on/off control and relay outputs for remote run and fault indication. It is possible to connect up to 10 central controllers on one network, which controls up to 128 master indoor units from multiple locations. The controller requires a v AC 50Hz power source which connects directly to the mains input terminals on the rear of the device. The network cable terminates at the U1/U3 and U2/U4 connections on the rear of the device. Terminals COM-DI, D11, D12 and D13 are used to remotely operate all of the connected indoor units. Solution Components Network Adaptor TCB-PCNT30TLE2 Network adaptors will be required for each Master indoor unit when the central controller is used in conjunction with DI/SDI split systems. TCC-Link Central Compliant Manager Controller High Specification Model BMS-SM1280ETLE A central controller shall be surface mounted and hard wired to the outdoor unit(s). The compliant manager is capable of controlling 128 indoor units from a single location. The device has the facility to set all of the operating parameters for individual or zoned indoor units, whether they are VRF or individual spilt systems. It is also capable of displaying individual fault codes for any units on the network. The controller can be remotely connected to via a PC and all functions can be controlled via Internet Explorer. This controller can also be linked to energy monitoring relay interfaces for the collection of data for energy billing. is normally used on an installation where there are multiple indoor units in one location. The controller can also be linked to the didigital input output module for the interface to other systems.

13 The compliant manager has some advanced functions different users can be configured to give restricted access. The controller has an advanced time clocking function to give the building owner flexibility. The controller has a return back function, which returns the units setting to a pre-determined setting after an amount of time. All of these functions are accessed via the Web Interface. It gives the ability to link multiple refrigerant systems together for time clock control and to give an indication of any faults within the systems. It is possible to connect up to 10 central controllers on one network, which controls up to 128 master indoor units from multiple locations. Energy Monitoring Relay Interface Toshiba Model Reference BMS-IFWH5E2 The energy monitoring relay interface connects to the RS485 Network and provides a means of interface to the pulse power meters. Up to eight power meters can be connected to each relay interface. Digital Input/Output Relay Interface Toshiba Model Reference BMS-IFDD03E The D/I module connects to the RS485 network and provides 8 inputs and 4 outputs, which could be used to interface a fire alarm system or a room occupancy sensor. The D/I module output could be used as a means of remote fault indication to another system. To facilitate the connection of Digital Inverter split systems to a U3/U4 network, a network adaptor must be fitted to each master indoor unit. Fault Monitoring & Control Interface

14 RBC-FDP3-PE Fault detection and control is to be provided via the AB network with, or without a remote controller. Each FDP3 detects any fault generated by the system and provide an output for appropriate action to be taken by the user. Red and green LEDs are to be fitted to the unit to indicate the fault/no fault condition. The detection of a fault code must illuminate the red LED and close the internal volt-free contacts. A locking function can be initiated to provide pre-set conditions of: Cooling 19ºC; Auto 21ºC; Heat 23ºC. These pre-sets are to be selectable by switches on the FDP3 unit. It must be possible to control 8 indoor units with a single FDP3 and connect 16 FDP3 units together on a D-Bus network to allow a single remote controller to group control up to 128 indoor units. Run and standby control of two groups of indoor units is to be provided. In the event of a fault on the running group, both groups will be activated. The FDP3 is able to be configured for load sharing and customised control options available from Toshiba. Fault Monitoring & BMS Control Interface RBC-FDP3-PE Fault detection and BMS control is to be provided via the AB network with, or without a remote controller. Run and standby control of two groups of indoor units is to be provided. In the event of a fault on the running group, both groups will be activated. The FDP3 must also be able to be configured for load sharing. Further customisation is to be available from Toshiba to fulfil specific end user requirements. Start/Stop and Fault Interface TCB-IFCB-4E Each indoor unit (master unit if grouped) is to be fitted with an interface to allow each indoor unit to be externally switched on and off by means of any volt-free external terminals. The interface shall be linked to the indoor unit using CN61 on the PCB. This device must also have the capability of providing a positive indication of the operation of the indoor unit and signal any errors (system and indoor unit stopping faults) via externally fitted volt-free contacts. The interface shall be fitted in position near the relevant indoor unit. External switching components can include: Time switch

15 BMS Passive infra-red occupation sensor Auto restart Frost thermostat Fire alarm Lon Works Interface TCB-IFLN642TLE A Lon Works Interface shall be hard wired to the U3 & U4 network, to enable the user to control up to 64 indoor units. Multiple interfaces may be connected to a Lon Works network to enable the user to monitor and adjust indoor units alongside any other integrated building services from a single PC. The interface shall enable the PC to display status, diagnostics by unit number and provide control of the following primary functions for each master indoor unit: - Mode of Operation (Auto, Cool, Heat, Fan Only) Temperature Set Point (18 C to 29 C) Fan Speed (High, Medium, Low & Auto) Louvre Position (Where applicable) On/Off The interface shall permit the user to access the control of the system remotely via the use of a modem connection. In addition the interface shall facilitate the use of Remote Controllers (RBC-AMT32E, RBC-AMS41E, RBC-AMS51E-ES or RBC-AS41E) to provide the user with local control of the air-conditioned space. When remote controllers are used, each master unit must have the capability to control up to 7 slave units if required (all will operate to the same conditions as the master unit). Trend BMS Interface RBC-LG1/LTX-21 TCB-PCNT20E A combination of a Lon Works interface and RealTime Controls LTX-21 shall allow the Toshiba air conditioning systems to communicate with a Trend BMS. An RBC-LG1/LTX-21 combination shall be hard wired to each indoor unit via the XY terminals on each protocol converter (TCB-PCNT20E), to enable the user to individually control up to 16 master indoor units when connected to a single system. Each master indoor unit is to be fitted with a protocol converter. Multiple interfaces may be connected to a Trend network to enable the user to monitor and adjust indoor units alongside any other integrated building services from a single PC. The LTX-21 connects directly to the supervisor port on a 2 series Trend outstation to permit all functions and settings to be modified. All of the system fault codes can be passed back through to the BMS that will allow the faults to be managed by the BMS alarm supervisor.

16 The interface shall permit the user to access the control of the system remotely via the use of a modem connection. In addition the interface shall facilitate the use of Remote Controllers (RBC-AMT32E, RBC-AMS41E, RBC-AMS51E-ES or RBC-AS41E) to provide the user with local control of the air-conditioned space. When remote controllers are used, each master unit must have the capability to control up to 7 slave units if required (all will operate to the same conditions as the master unit). Cylon (or other Modbus compatible) BMS Interface RBC-LG1/LTX-51 TCB-PCNT20E This combination of a Lon Works interface and RealTime Controls LTX-51 shall allow the Toshiba air conditioning systems to communicate with a Cylon BMS. An RBC-LG1/LTX-51 combination shall be hard wired to each indoor unit via the XY terminals on each protocol converter (TCB-PCNT20E), to enable the user to individually control up to 16 master indoor units when connected to a single system. Each master indoor unit is to be fitted with a protocol converter. Multiple interfaces may be connected to a Cylon network to enable the user to monitor and adjust indoor units alongside any other integrated building services from a single PC. The LTX-51 connects directly to the modbus port on a UCC4 to permit all functions and settings to be modified. All of the system fault codes can be passed back through to the BMS that will allow the faults to be managed by the BMS alarm supervisor. The interface shall permit the user to access the control of the system remotely via the use of a modem connection. In addition the interface shall facilitate the use of Remote Controllers (RBC-AMT32E, RBC-AMS41E, RBC-AMS51E-ES or RBC-AS41E) to provide the user with local control of the air-conditioned space. When remote controllers are used, each master unit must have the capability to control up to 7 slave units if required (all will operate to the same conditions as the master unit). Windows Package & Windows Gateway RBC-WP1-PE TCB-IFLN642TLE TCB-PCNT20E A Windows Package (RBC-WP1-PE) shall be used in conjunction with a Gateway (TCB- IFLN642TLE). Each Gateway shall have the capability of individually controlling up to 64 master indoor units. Up to 16 Gateways can be connected to each Windows package. Each Windows Gateway is then linked to the PC via the AB terminals. If Digital / Super Digital Inverter units are to be added a Network Adaptor (TCB-PCNT30TLE) is required for each master indoor unit with the exception of the High Wall models. The Windows Package shall enable the user to control up to 1024 individual indoor units, and via the Gateway be capable of adjusting, managing and displaying all the following control functions: Mode of Operation (Auto, Cool, Heat, Fan Only)

17 Temperature Set Point (18 C to 29 C) Fan Speed (High, Medium, Low & Auto) Louvre Position (Where applicable) On/Off Fault Code Diagnostics Sensor Data Indoor Unit Locked Off On/Off Control Only Multiple Time Scheduling In addition local control may be provided to any or all zones by the use of Remote Controllers (RBC-AMT32E, RBC-AMS41E, RBC-AMS51E-ES or RBC-AS41E). When remote controllers are used, each master unit must have the capability to control up to 7 slave units if required (all will operate to the same conditions as the master unit). The controls software shall also enable the user to display unit locations via site specific floor plans and transmit system alarms via the following media types: - Fax, SMS, Modems, and Pager. To enable the Windows Package to be installed the following minimum system requirements shall be provided either by the end-user or the installer: - PIV or Greater Processor 512MB RAM Hard Drive with 50MB Free Space 16bit High Colour 800 x 600 SVGA or Greater Display (Not shared graphics card) Win NT, Version 4.0 or Later (Service Pack 3.0 or Greater) Win 2K Win XP (Not Suitable for Windows Vista) Internet Kit RBC-IK1-PE An Internet kit shall be used in conjunction with the Windows Package and Lonworks Interface(s) to provide the following capabilities: Remote computer access to the server where the Windows Package is installed to allow up to 5 users at any one time to view, or change data using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Two levels of control: o Monitoring o Full Control Immediate access to operating conditions and historical performance, facilitating rapid response to customer/user enquiries.
