Telrad LTE CPE 7000 The Telrad LTE CPE 7000 ODU incorporates: A modem for communications with the IDU Data processing and management software A high-gain antenna A radio transmitter/receiver for communications with the base station. The CPE is termed a dual-mode CPE because the radio can communicate with a base station via either the WIMAX or LTE standard. However the unit will need to be programed to only operate in LTE mode. An integrated analog telephone adapter, or ATA. There is a RJ 11 phone port ( ): Provides a phone line from the ODU to the POE Adapter. The POE adapter has two RJ 11 ports to connect to the customer s phone. Note: at this time, the phone capabilities of the CPE7000 are not supported. The 100 BaseT ( ) port: o Supports Ethernet communications with the IDU o Supports a Power over Ethernet, or POE, connection the IDU supplies -56VDC over this link to power the ODU The ground screw: Connects the ODU to an approved building ground point. Grounding details are provided later in this document. Status LEDs: are covered in the next topic. The ODU can be located: Up to 18mi or 30km from the base station Up to 295ft or 90m from the IDU The total Ethernet run from ODU to the customer's equipment cannot exceed 328ft or 100m. 8 Telrad LTE CPE 7000 IDU The Telrad LTE CPE 7000 IDU comprises an AC adapter and a Power over Ethernet, or POE, adapter. The POE adapter is hard-wired to the AC adapter and has four ports: RJ-45 port labelled "TO/FROM OSU POE (RJ45)": o Supports a 100 BaseT Power over Ethernet link to the ODU o Sends and receives control signals to and from the ODU o Supplies power to the ODU NOTE: The WiMAX BreezMAX PRO 6000 and LTE CPE 7000 POE adaptors are not interchangeable Be very careful to connect ONLY the ODU to the POE port. The -56VDC can destroy customer equipment in milliseconds. RJ-14 port labelled TO/FROM OSU VOIP (RJ14) o Provides connection to the ATA in ODU with a phone line. The telephone can be used for VoIP services, if available. However, we will not be using this VoIP service for the Xplornet Home Phone. A separate ATA box will be required. RJ-11 ports labelled 1 and 2 : Provides a connection from the IDU to up to two telephone set. The POE adapter Ethernet cable. The POE adapter has a built in Ethernet cable that goes from the adapter to the customer equipment such as a PC or router. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 8

3. Mounting the Telrad LTE CPE 7000 ODU Consider these points before mounting the Telrad LTE CPE 7000: The ODU can be mounted on a J-arm platform, a tripod, or a ground pole using the mounting kit. The pole mounting kit can be used on poles whose diameter ranges in size from 1 to 4in or 2.5 to 10cm. The ODU must be mounted so that the sides are at a 45 angle with the pole; that is, so that the ODU looks like a diamond, not a square, when seen from the ground. The pole mounting kit is designed to provide the required 45 if and only if the pole is plumb. Any mast over 10ft or 3m must be guyed at three points. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 9

In most cases, it is easiest to attach the kit to the ODU before climbing to the mounting location. Referring to the illustration: 1. Spin a nut up the bolt until it reaches the head of the bolt. Repeat for the other bolt. 2. Slide a spring washer up to the nut. Repeat for the other bolt. 3. Slip the bolt through the hole in the pole-mount bracket and thread it into the ODU. Repeat for the other bolt. 4. Snug the bolts down. Do not over-tighten. 5. The model with have a round head ground screw; connect 12AWG ground wire to the ODU ground screw before mounting because the ground screw is not accessible once the ODU is mounted. Refer to Installing Cable and Ground from Surge Suppressor to ODU, Part 2 for details about grounding the ODU. 6. Once the mounting platform is installed, slip the ODU over the top of the pole and slide it into position. In general, mounting the ODU as high as possible usually provides the best signal quality. 7. Hold the ODU at the desired location on the pole and tighten the lock nuts sufficiently so that the ODU is held firmly, but you can still rotate it around the pole. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 10

4. Installing the Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Cables and Grounds The diagram illustrates the wiring plan for the Telrad LTE CPE 7000 CPE. The tasks you need to carry out to complete the wiring plan are listed below. Detailed instructions are provided in following topics. In all topics, cable is synonymous with Cat5e cable. In the diagrams, the Cat5e cable is shown as red for illustrative purposes only. Task List 1. Confirm that the mount location satisfies all requirements listed in the Location Requirements Checklist. 2. Review the grounding standards. 3. Install a surge suppressor. 4. Install a ground wire from the surge suppressor to an approved building ground point. 5. Install a Cat5e cable (with ground wire) between the surge suppressor and the ODU. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 11

6. If you are using a J-arm platform, tripod or pole mount attach the integrated ground wire direct to the ground screw on the ODU. If using 12 AWG from the surge suppressor to the ODU, attach directly to the ground screw. 7. Install a Cat5e cable between the surge suppressor and the IDU. 8. There are two options for aligning the ODU: using the LEDs on the ODU, or using the Web Management Interface. Details about each alignment option are covered later in this document. 9. Power up the IDU. When all tasks are complete, you are ready to align the ODU. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 12

Approved and Unacceptable Building Ground Points A list of approved and unacceptable ground points is repeated here because the importance of proper grounding cannot be over-emphasized. Review the previous grounding topics for details. Approved ground points are: A building ground, also called an electrical service electrode. (C) Service equipment enclosures. Never drill into an electrical service panel. (A) A metal conduit or raceway of the electrical service. ( B) A grounded interior metal water pipe. ( E) An I-beam clamp on a grounded structural steel member. ( D) Unacceptable ground points are: Conduit on the load side of a building enclosure A cut-off switch or a condensation pipe on a Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning, or HVAC, system Steel roof trusses Metal roofs, metal roof screws, metal screens, or metal windows Vents or vent pipes Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 13

Electrical outlets or light fixtures Gas pipes, gutters, exterior water faucets, unlicensed ground rods Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 14

Surge Suppressor 1. Mounting holes These holes can be used for mounting the Surge Suppressor unit to a flat surface such as an outside wall. The distance between the centers of the holes is 4.25 inches (108mm). 2. RJ-45 connectors One side connects to the LTE 7000 CPE, the other side connects to the AC adaptor s Ethernet connector. 3. Ground post use heavy gauge (12 AWG) copper wire for connection. 4. Ground cable opening Route the 12 AWG ground cable through this opening. 5. CAT-5 cable knockouts Route the two CAT-5 cables through these openings. 6. Conduit knockouts Two large knockouts, located on the back of the case near the bottom, are available for installations where cable is to be routed through building conduits. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 15

Connecting the Surge Suppressor to the Building Ground To connect the surge suppressor to the building ground: 1. Locate an approved building ground point: The surge suppressor must be installed within approximately 20ft or 6m of the building ground point. The distance refers to the total wire length, not the straight-line path. 2. Fasten the surge suppressor to a solid surface, as close to the planned point of entry as possible. 3. Connect Xplornet-approved 12AWG ground wire to the building ground point. 4. Run the wire to the surge suppressor. Run the wire along horizontal and vertical paths, keeping it out of sight as much as possible. Avoid sharp bends. Use Xplornet-approved single cable clips every 24in or 60cm to secure the wire to the building. 5. Cut the wire so that it can reach through ground cable opening to the center post. 6. Strip away about 1in or 3cm of insulation. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 16

7. Pass the wire through the ground cable opening. 8. Loosen the nut and wrap the stripped wire clockwise around the post, between the two washers. 9. Tighten the nut. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 17

Installing Cable & Ground from Surge Suppressor to ODU, Part 1 To install Ethernet cable and ground from the surge suppressor to the ODU: 1. The approved Cat5e Ethernet cable with integrated ground wire is available in three pre-terminated lengths: 50ft or 15m, 75ft or 23m, and 125ft or 38m. Though cable with integrated ground wire is recommended, you can use an equivalent cable without ground. In this case, use Xplornet-approved 12AWG ground wire in place of the integrated ground wire. Measure the distance between the surge suppressor and ODU and select the cable with the best fit. Measure along horizontal and vertical paths, but avoid sharp bends. Cutting and re-terminating the Cat5e cable is not allowed. 2. At the surge suppressor, separate a few inches of the integrated ground wire from the Cat5e cable. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 18

3. Strip away about 1in or 3cm of insulation from the ground wire (either the integrated wire or a separate 12AWG ground wire). 4. Plug the Cat5e cable into the left RJ-45 port. Make sure to remove the Cat5 cable knockout. 5. Loosen the nut on the ground terminal and wrap the stripped wire clockwise around the post, between the two washers. 6. Tighten the nut. 7. Run the cable to the ODU. Run the cable along horizontal and vertical paths, keeping it out of sight as much as possible. Avoid sharp bends. Use Xplornet-approved single cable clips every 24in or 60cm to secure the cable and integrated ground wire to the building. If you are using Xplornet-approved 12AWG ground wire rather than an integrated wire, use single cable clips on both the cable and wire. 8. Run the cable to the ODU POE port ( ). 9. Coil any excess Cat5e cable. When all connections have been made, secure the coil as close to the ODU as is practical. 10. At the ODU POE port, use an adjustable wrench to remove the sealing gland assembly from the ODU body. Referring to the illustration, the sealing gland assembly includes: o Sealing gland base (1) o Rubber bushing (2) o Sealing gland nut (3) o Sealing gland plug Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 19

11. Keep the assembly warm until you are ready to reinstall it. The parts are difficult to work with when cold. The assembly must be reinstalled to weatherproof the ODU. However, it is often easier to wait until after you have aligned the ODU. Until then, plug the Cat5e cable directly into the POE port. 12. When you are ready to reinstall the sealing gland assembly: A. Remove the sealing gland plug and discard it. B. Remove the sealing gland nut from the sealing gland base. C. Push the rubber bushing out of its retainer in the sealing gland base. Push from the ODU side of the sealing gland base. D. Thread the sealing gland nut and sealing gland base over the Cat5e cable, in the order shown in the illustration. E. Reinstall the sealing gland base on the ODU. Do not over-tighten. F. Plug the Cat5e cable into the POE port. G. Fit the rubber bushing around the cable, between the sealing gland nut and the sealing gland base. The bushing is split to its center along its length to allow this fit. When using Cat5e cable with integrated ground wire, run the integrated to the ground screw on the CPE. H. Push the rubber bushing along the cable and back into its retainer in the sealing gland base. This is a snug fit and may require some patience. I. Reinstall the sealing gland nut. Hand tight only, but firmly: you are sealing the unit. 13. If you are using a J-Arm platform, tripod or pole mount attach the integrated ground wire or 12 AWG directly to the ground screw on the ODU. a. Strip away about 1in or 3cm of insulation from the ground wire (either the integrated wire or a separate 12AWG ground wire). b. Attach the ground wire to the ground screw on the ODU. 14. Make sure to do a service loop with the CAT5e cable at the base mounting gear. The service loop should include any access cable. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 20

Installing Cable from Surge Suppressor to IDU To install Cat5e cable from the surge suppressor to the IDU: 1. The Cat5E cable for the run from the surge suppressor to the IDU does not require a ground wire. Xplornet-approved Cat5e cable for the run to the IDU is available in three pre-terminated lengths: 25ft or 7.5m, 50ft or 15m, and 75ft or 23m. Measure the distance between the surge suppressor and IDU and select the cable with the best fit. Remember to allow for a drip loop. Cutting and re-terminating the Cat5e cable is not allowed. 2. At the surge suppressor, plug the Cat5e cable into the right RJ-45 port. a. Make sure to the Cat5 Cable Knockout is removed as illustrated in diagram above b. If installing where cable is being routed through building conduit, remove the Conduit Knock (6) at back of surge suppressor. If this method is use, do not remove the Cat5 Cable Knockout (5). 3. Run the cable to the point of entry, creating a U-shaped drip loop at the point of entry. 4. Feed the cable through the point of entry and on to the IDU location identified by the customer. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 21

As much as possible, run the cable so that it is straight and out of sight. Avoid sharp bends. Use Xplornet-approved single cable clips every 24in or 60cm to secure the cable to the building. 5. Coil excess cable inside the building, in an out-of-the-way location, preferably out of sight. 6. Unpack the IDU, place it in location, and plug the cable into the port marked "TO/FROM OSU POE (RJ45)". Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 22

Connecting to a Computer, and Power At this point, only connect your computer to the IDU. Connect the customer's equipment only after activating the service. 1. To connect your computer (required if you are using the Web Management Interface alignment option): A. Plug the POE Adaptor Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your computer. 2. Plug the AC adapter into a 120VAC power source. You are ready to align the ODU. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 23

5. Aligning the Telrad LTE CPE 7000 This chapter explains how to align the Telrad LTE CPE 7000 with a base station and verify that the signal quality is within acceptable limits. There are critical steps that must be observed with all Telrad LTE CPE 7000 before you align it to a base station and obtain signal quality and they are: Network Mode and Firmware Version. Network Mode The Telrad CPE 7000 is a multi-mode unit; however be default the network mode will either by LTE Only or WiMAX Only, not both. When first logging into the WMI if the mode says LTE, no further action is required, but if it says WiMAX the following action will have to take place. 1. Connect the Cat5e cable that is part of the POE adapter to the Ethernet port on the computer. This physical connection corresponds to the Local Area Connection access type that you configured to use DHCP. To do this, first unplug the POE adapter and power down your computer, connect the POE adapter Ethernet cable, and then plug the adapter back in and start the computer. 2. At the computer, open a web browser. 3. In the browser address bar, enter: The WMI login window opens. 4. 30 Rescanning for Base Stations When the Telrad LTE CPE 7000 powers up, it scans for base stations and registers with the base station that provides the highest quality signal. If you move or redirect the ODU, the CPE generally remains registered with the original base station. Before beginning alignment, you must force the CPE to rescan for base stations. This is the only way to ensure that the CPE is registered with the best base station at its current location and direction. You must force the CPE to rescan for base stations anytime the CPE has been powered up and then moved to another location, or pointed in another direction at the same location. Simply power cycle the CPE to cause the unit to rescan. You can also use the Web Management Interface (WMI) to force the CPE to rescan. To use the WMI, the computer must first be configured for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP. If you did not configure your computer for DHCP during site preparation, you must do so now. Refer to the DHCP topic of the Preparing for the Site Visit chapter. When you have configured your computer for DHCP: 1. Point the ODU in the new direction. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 30

2. 3. At the computer, open a web browser. 4. In the browser address bar, enter: The WMI login window opens. 5. For User Name, enter: admin For Password, enter: xplornet4g Note: This is the end user login credentials 6. Click Login. The following window opens. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 31

7. Click the Power Cycle button (highlighted by red box in above diagram) 8. The CPE reboots and takes 2 minutes and 10 seconds to rescan. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 32

WMI State Parameters When power is applied to the ODU, it begins scanning for a base station. When it finds a base station, it starts establishing end-to-end communications through the network. The ODU progresses through several states as end-to-end communications are established. The Mobile Network Status page of the WMI uses the State parameter to show the current state. When you have mounted the ODU and are getting ready to align it, you can use the State value to guide your initial alignment of the ODU. While the ODU is searching for a base station, the State parameter value is generally scanning. When the ODU finds a base station, the State value changes and goes through a sequence of values; see the chart below. When end-to-end communications are established, the State changes to the final value of Attached To monitor the State value, if you have not already configured your computer for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP, you must do so now. Refer to the DHCP topic in the Preparing for the Site Visit chapter. To monitor the State value: 1. At the computer, open a web browser. 2. In the browser address bar, enter: The WMI login window opens. 3. For Username, enter: admin For Password, enter: xplornet4g 4. Click OK. The Status page opens. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 33

5. Click Mobile Network The Status window opens. 6. If the ODU has been moved since opening the WMI, rescan for base stations as described in the Rescanning for Base Stations procedure. 7. At the ODU, adjust the position of the ODU until the value of State is Attached If you cannot achieve an Attached state: A. Verify the direction to the base station. B. Verify the line of sight path to the base station. C. Verify all cable connections and integrity. D. If necessary, call the Dealer Support Group to verify network availability: Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 34

LTE Information State General Information State Description/Troubleshooting Device Init SIM Detecting Device Ready Search Network Entry Attached Idle No Signal Connecting Connecting Connecting Connecting Connecting Connected Connected Connecting The device is initializing. This is normally displayed when the CPE completes the reboot process. It should only be displayed for a few seconds before changing to the next state. The CPE is verifying that the SIM card is present. If it is displayed for an extended period of time, this signifies that the SIM card is not inserted or not recognized by the CPE. The CPE has completed its initialization and is ready to start scanning. This state is typically only displayed for a few seconds. The CPE is scanning for LTE base stations. This state could be displayed for several minutes if it cannot find an LTE base station. The CPE is attempting to gain access to the network. It should only be displayed for a short period of time. If it continues to be displayed, this signifies the CPE is failing the network entry process. If the CPE remains in this state, you may have to reboot the CPE. The CPE is connected to the LTE base station. The CPE is connected to the LTE base station and is idle as there is no traffic being passed between the CPE and the base station. The CPE was not able to find an LTE base station to connect to. Normally the CPE will continue to search while this state is being displayed. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 35

Alignment Options The Telrad CPE 7000 provides two options for aligning the ODU: LEDs on the ODU WMI We look at each of these in detail in the next topics. LEDs Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 36

WMI Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 37

Alignment using the ODU LEDs 4G Status LED: Link Status When CPE is connected to a base station the LEDs indicate the CINR level 4G 1 Red Steady On CINR < 8dB 4G 2 Red/Yellow Steady On 8dB <CINR < 24dB 4G 3 Red/Yellow /Green Steady On 24dB <= CINR To align the ODU using the LEDs: 1. At the IDU, plug the AC adapter into a live 120VAC outlet. 2. At the ODU, confirm the line of sight path to the base station. 3. Direct the ODU towards the base station. 4. Rescan for base stations as described in the Rescanning for Base Stations procedure. 5. Observe the LEDs. Once the start-up built in test (BIT) has completed and the ODU has connected to a base station, the bottom three Link Status LEDs on the ODU indicate the carrier to interference-plus-noise ratio (CINR) of the signal from the base station. The above table shows the CINR level measured by each LED. 6. While monitoring the LEDs, move the ODU to the position where the green LED is on. (This indicates the best serving base station.) Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 38

7. When you have found this position, tighten the ODU to the pole. You now need to verify that signal strength and quality are acceptable. The information you need to do this is provided later in this chapter, under Acceptance. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 39

Alignment using the WMI If you have not already configured your computer for DHCP during site preparation, you must do so now. Refer to the DHCP topic of the Preparing for the Site Visit chapter. When the computer is configured for DHCP: 1. If you are not already logged in to the WMI, open a web browser at the computer. 2. In the browser address bar, enter: The WMI login window opens. 3. For User Name, enter: admin For Password, enter: xplornet4g 4. Click OK. The Status page opens. 5. Click Mobile Network. The Status page opens 6. Click the Auto button (at the bottom of the window). This causes the values to refresh every 5 seconds. 7. At the ODU, confirm the line of sight to the base station. 8. Direct the ODU towards the base station. 9. Rescan for base stations as described in the Rescanning for Base Stations procedure. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 40

10. While monitoring the RSRP0 & RSRPI (take the average of the two) and CINR0 & CINR1 (take the average of the two) levels, move the ODU to the position that provides the best levels. For RSSI, as an example: -50dBm is better than -60dBm. For CINR, as an example: 20dB is better than 15dB. Remember that the RSRP0 & RSRPI and CINR0 & CINR1 values take a few seconds to refresh. 11. When you have found the best position, tighten the ODU to the platform. You now need to verify that signal strength and quality are acceptable. The information you need to do this is provided later in this chapter, under Acceptance. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 41

Quality of Installation Parameters All Xplornet Internet services are offered through a number of rate plans, with each rate plan tailored for a specific user group. Rate plans are delivered at different bandwidths depending on the network infrastructure serving the customer. Each rate plan also offers several packages to provide flexibility in the service offerings for the rate plan. Quality of Installation (QoI) parameters has been defined for the LTE service and acceptable values for the QoI parameters are set for each rate plan. A service is unacceptable if a measured value fails to meet the specified value. The QoI parameters are provided as an appendix to the LTE Customer Premise Equipment Installation guide. One of the site preparation activities was to download the guide to your computer and to record your customer s Program and Rate Plan. You need to find your customer s rate plan in the QoI appendix now. LTE Program Name Channel Bandwidth QoI Parameter Rate Plan 1 Rate Plan 2 Rate Plan 3 Rate Plan 4 Minimum DL RSRP Level (dbm) Maximum DL RSRP Level (dbm) Minimum DL CINR Level (db) Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 42

Acceptance, Part 1 If you have not already configured your computer for DHCP during site preparation, you must do so now. Refer to the DHCP topic in the Preparing for the Site Visit chapter. To determine the quality of installation: 1. Have the applicable QoI parameters available 2. In the browser address bar, enter: The WMI login window opens. 3. For User Name, enter: admin For Password, enter: xplornet4g 4. Click OK. The System Status page opens. 5. Click on Mobile Network. The Mobile Network Status page opens 6. At the ODU, point the ODU along the line of sight to the base station you chose during your site survey. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 43

7. Rescan for base stations as described in the Rescanning for Base Stations procedure. 8. At the WMI, check the Bandwidth parameter: 20000kHz is a 20MHz channel. The Bandwidth parameters will either be 10 MHz or 20 MHz 9. Also check the Center Frequency. 10. Locate the QoI parameters: The RSRP & CINR parameters. The RSRP is two numbers average together, so for example take RSRP0 (- 81) & RSRP1 (-79) then your RSRP would be -80. This is the same thing for the CINR, so for example take CINR0 (28) and CINR1 (30) your CINR value would be Click the Auto button (at the bottom of the window). This causes the Mobile Network Status values to refresh every 5 seconds. 12. Return to the WMI browser window. 13. While monitoring the RSRP & CINR levels, move the ODU to the position that provides the best levels. 14. Compare the levels with the minimum acceptable levels for the rate plan to which the customer has subscribed. 15. If the levels are as good as or better than the minimums, continue. Note: For CINR, as an example: 20 is better than 15. For RSRP, as an example: -50 is better than If the levels do not meet the minimum, follow the troubleshooting instructions provided in Part 2 of this procedure. Rescan for base stations and repeat the alignment and acceptance procedures. If the quality is still unacceptable, or there is only one base station, contact the Dealer Support Group: or dealer.support@corp.xplornet.com. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 44

Identifying the Base Station To identify the base station that the CPE is registered to: 1. Login to the WMI as admin. The System Status window opens. 2. Click the Mobile Network Status tab. The Mobile Network Status window opens. 3. In the Mobile Network section, locate the Global Cell ID number which is displayed as Cell ID. Cell ID is used in the provisioning process to locate the sector/tower. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 45

6. Connecting Your Customer s Computer to the CPE Once you have activated the service, demonstrate connectivity to your customer and remember to inform the customer the system will only support 100 BaseT Ethernet connections. Connecting your customer's computer to the IDU and confirming Internet access are optional activities. They do promote goodwill but if your customer has a complex network or very old equipment, you may not be able to realize a positive outcome. If you choose to connect the customer s computer: 1. Ensure that the customer's computer is configured for DHCP operation. If it is not, refer to the DHCP topic of the Preparing for the Site Visit chapter. 2. When you have configured the computer for DHCP, plug the IDU built-in Ethernet cable into the customer's computer. 3. At the computer, open a web browser. 4. In the browser address bar, enter: The WMI login window opens. Telrad LTE CPE 7000 Installation V1.1 46

5. For User Name, enter: admin For Password, enter: xplornet4g Do not use the Installer-only login credentials with the customer s computer. 6. Click OK. The System Status window opens. If the parameters have values, the service is operating normally. If you choose to test for Internet access: 7. Open another browser window and try to surf the web. Use a web page with frequently updated content to ensure that the browser is actually surfing the web and not accessing old content saved on the computer. Remember at this time you will only be able to surf whitelisted pages, such as Xplornet.com. Make sure to give the customer the Customer Activity Centre Leave Behind hand out. If you can surf, you are done. If you cannot, and you are not familiar with relevant troubleshooting procedures, or the customer has questions about the CAC, refer the customer to Xplornet Technical Support: ; support@xplornet.com.
