Important Information WARNINGS Warnings in this document are identified by a warning triangle printed against a grey background. Keywords at the start of the warning indicate the type and seriousness of the ensuing risk if measures to prevent the risk are not taken. THE INTERFACES The BACview is a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) that interfaces with the BOSCH TT controllers, enabling the user to view and change property values, and/or control parameters, to match a corresponding application. It also provides a means of accessing and modifying the controller s schedule and real time clock in applications where a system server or Building Automation System (BAS) is not available. The software is normally configured at the factory to match the unit configuration, however, there are cases where additional onsite changes need to be made and this screen will allow the qualified technical or commissioning agent to incorporate such changes (without having to download a different software application) via the commissioning tool. The interface is offered in two forms: as a hand-held BACview module or in the form of an application called Virtual BACview. BACview Hand-held Module The BACview module (Figure 1) is a combination keypad/display unit that connects to the controller either via the onboard serial port, or via a port under the RS Sensor, if one is available and connected to the controller. The module can be purchased as a kit ( ) that includes the hand-held device ( ) and connecting cable ( ); each of these components can also be purchased separately for replacements. The contrast of the LCD display can be adjusted by turning the contrast screw (see Figure 1) clockwise or counterclockwise with a small screwdriver. DANGER: Before performing service or maintenance operations on the system, turn off main power to the unit. Electrical shock could cause personal injury or death. CAUTION: When working on equipment, always observe precautions described in the literature, tags, and labels attached to the unit. Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves. Use a quenching cloth for brazing, and place a fire extinguisher close to the work area. 4 4 Specification Virtual BACview Virtual BACview (see Figure # 2) provides the end-user an interface to a controller by way of a laptop and a purchased USB-L cable ( ). Once the cable is purchased, the corresponding driver will need to be downloaded and installed before using the software. The USB end of the cable is connected to the laptop, and the serial end is connected to the controller or RS Sensor. The BACview program, cable driver, and instructional manual are all available for free download at the Bosch Thermotechnology website. The Virtual BACview software interface provides the same functionality as the hand-held module when connected to a controller, with some additional benefits such as: the flexibility of using a mouse or keyboard to modify control parameters, and the added convenience of changing the screen size (rows only) to display more information at the same time. Establishing Communication Plug the USB-L (Bosch TT part number ) cable to the computer and controller before launching Virtual BACview. The DDC controller must be connected to a 24Vac source and powered on. Launching Virtual BACview and checking settings 1. Start Virtual BACview program: Click Start > All Programs > Virtual BACview or browse to your program location (software available from Bosch Thermotechnology website: 2. In the Row Count field, enter the number of screen rows you want displayed (100 maximum). 3. In the Comm Port field, select the laptop s COM port that the USB link is connected to, ensuring that they match each other. Virtual BACview will not work if the COM ports don t match. The COM ports may be verified as described above, or alternatively in Windows by selecting Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Ports (Com & LPT) (2015/11) Subject to change without prior notice

7 (2015/11) Using the BACview Interface 7 Connecting the BACview to a controller Connect the BACview module (or laptop if using Virtual BACview) to the serial port on the DDC controller as indicated below, or to a ZS wall-mounted sensor connected to the controller. Navigating the BACview Screens To navigate a screen or move within a selected field, use the up, down, left or right arrow buttons. Figure # 9 To move to another screen, maneuver the cursor to the desired link and press the enter key as shown below: Figure # 7 USING THE INTERFACE Activating the BACview By default, the BACview goes into screen-saver mode after 1 minute of inactivity. Pressing any key reactivates the screen to the Home Screen. Figure # 10 Changing Parameter Values Use the navigation keys to highlight the point or parameter that needs to be changed and press enter. Figure # 11 Figure # 8 The inactivity time can be adjusted by accessing the keypad screen using FN+6. Certain parameter changes are subject to password verification before proceeding, if the user has not previously provided one during a session. 8 8 Using the BACview Interface Once a parameter is highlighted, the value can be modified in one of three different ways, depending on the type of parameter: 1. If the parameter is numeric, pressing a number on the numeric keypad will replace the highlighted character with the corresponding value selected: Figure # 15 In the preceding example, the View/Set User Password screen will pop up when the FN + 2 key combination is executed. Figure # If the parameter is numeric, the soft-keys can also be utilized to increase (INCR) or decrease (DECR) the variable to the desired value. The soft-keys (INCR/ DECR) can be used to toggle through the available options and select the desired value. If at any time the user decides not to change a parameter, or not to keep any changes made, pressing the CANCEL soft-key will restore the variable to its original value. Repeat the steps detailed in this section to modify any additional points or variables. Modifications made using the BACview will be saved to the control module, until the changes are uploaded to a Building Automation Server. If a gateway module is on the network, the time set in the gateway takes precedence over any time entered in the BACview. Using Hotkeys Hotkeys allow a user to access certain pages within the program with fewer keystrokes than usual; they are to the BACview as shortcut keys are to computers. The BACview can support up to 10 hotkeys. Table 1 shows the hotkey assignments for the software. All password-protected BACview screens in this software can be accessed using the User password. If the user is prompted for a password while accessing a particular screen or variable, the default four-digit user password will be: User/ Customer password: 0000 Keypad Configuration Tuning Parameters Calibration Checkout/Overrides The user password can be changed under the SETUP menu from the Home Screen, by selecting the [CHG PW] option using the corresponding soft-key: To access a page using a Hotkey, simultaneously press the FN key and the desired numeric key and release. 9 (2015/11) The BACview screens 9 Once selected, this message will appear alerting the user that an Administrator password is required: HOME SCREEN The HOME screen shows the main menus/categories of the software the user can interface with on the BACview. All pages contain information on the various settings of the software, and choosing [Stpt] Figure # 17 Figure # 18 when accessing a particular page allows the user to change and configure parameters that pertain to that particular menu. The administrator password is only required to change the user password, and may be obtained from a qualified System Administrator. The different levels of access for the BACview screens are shown in Table 2. Restriction Level NONE USER / CUSTOMER TECHNICIAN Table# 2 -Screens access levels Access Anyone can access, but to edit a field in this screen, the operator must log in with either the User or Administrator password. An operator logged in with the User/Admin password. An operator logged in with the Administrator password, while changing the user password. Critical set points such as High/Low cooling and heating limit set points should only be changed by qualified personnel and/or as directed by test and balancing agency. THE SCREENS BACview screens can be accessed and navigated using the various methods discussed in the Using the BACview Interface section. This section uses a combination of all these methods (e.g. using soft-keys, navigation keys, hotkeys, etc.) to illustrate how various pages of the software can be assessed and modified. From the HOME screen, use the arrow keys to highlight and access the different fields and menus as described in previous chapters. Use the soft-keys to access subscreens that are assigned to the main menu. Figure# 19 shows the Home screen for a standard, zone control application. The first eight (8) links depicted in Figure # 19 appear on the Home screen as a standard, regardless of the option(s) selected. These are for: Unit Operation main unit operation status and setup Temperature status and set-points for all available temperature sensors. Fan fan operation status and setup including VFD and smoke/fire alarm response. Heat/Cool view and modify parameters for heating and cooling operations. UPM Faults basic UPM alarm status information including unit reset. Schedule set daily and holiday schedules for heat pump operation. System Configuration set alarm trip points and differentials for applicable sensors I/O Configuration view allocations for all inputs and outputs on the controller. Based on the options and parameters enabled during Setup, some additional menus may or may not be displayed on the Home screen. These include menus for: ZS Sensors available when ZS Combo Sensor(s) is selected for Wall Mount Sensor under SETUP Indoor Air Quality available when any Fresh Air Damper option or CO2 sensor is selected Humidity available when the Hot Gas Reheat option is selected, or a relative humidity sensor is selected for Discharge Air Control applications. Discharge Air Control - available when Disch Air Control is selected for Compressor Control under SETUP Mixed Air Control available when the Mixed Air Control option is selected (this option is only available for Discharge Air Control applications) Economizer/Boilerless available when either the Economizer or Boilerless option is selected (2015/11)

11 (2015/11) Home Screen menus 11 HOME SCREEN MENUS Unit Operation Screen The unit operation screen can be accessed by selecting its link on the Home screen. Use the navigation keys to scroll down and see all parameters available on this screen. Figure # 23 This screen allows the user to check the current status of both unit configuration and unit operating modes. The user can change these parameters by selecting the SETUP link from the home screen or by selecting the SETUP link on the bottom of the Unit Operation screen. 12 12 Home Screen menus Temperature Screen The Temperature screen can be accessed by selecting its link on the Home screen. If needed, use the navigation keys to scroll down and see all parameters available on this screen. This screen allows the user to view all the current values of the temperature variables selected during setup. From the Temperature screen, the user can access the zone control temperature set-point values that allow the user to set up the occupied and unoccupied set points to which the unit will operate on a daily basis. For Discharge Air Control Applications the fan should be set to run continuously to avoid problems running the unit. The user also has the option to configure the fan to run or stop during a compressor lockout condition imposed by the software. Finally the user may configure the fan to run or stop (fan reference speed used for VFDs) during a fire alarm scenario. From the Fan screen the user can access the service screen (Stpt) on which the fan runtime hours are displayed. This parameter is normally utilized as a reminder for filter change. On the Set-point screen, the user can reset the timer to start a new count after replacing the filter, run or stop the fan during a fire alarm event (where applicable), and enable a fan status switch (where applicable). Figure # 25 Temperature screens Also on this screen, if a temperature sensor in IN-2 is not configured correctly (jumper improperly set) the? parameter will appear. Hitting the Enter button will then bring up the error page, providing information on what the possible issue is and how to fix it. The Stpt page can be accessed via the soft-keys as shown in Figure 27. Figure # 26 Temperature sensor help Fan Screen The Fan screen can be accessed by selecting its link on the Home screen. Figure # 28 Fan Setpoint Screen STATIC PRESSURE (VFD) When the Heat Pump application involves a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) for fan control, and the option is selected at setup, the Static Pressure menu becomes visible under the Fan Setpoints screen. 13 (2015/11) Home Screen menus 13 The service screen is accessed by pressing Stpt. The runtime hours and counters for the compressors are displayed and can be reset by navigating selecting and changing the particular value. For Zone Control applications, the compressors may be set to be locked out below a user-defined setpoint to prevent condensation issues from this screen. Figure # 30 Unit Fan Variation (no VFD) Figure #30 shows the same screen without this menu, when the VFD option is NOT selected. Once selected, this screen provides a duct static pressure reading, as well as the option to modify the Static Pressure set-point, and the minimum fan speed percentage. Figure # 31 Static pressure screen Heating and Cooling screen The Heating/Cooling screen can be accessed from the Home screen. As explained in the previous sections the soft-keys will allow the user to access other frames/screens by pressing the navigation arrows. To navigate on this screen the user may follow the same steps as illustrated in the changing a value section of this manual. Once an alarm is received via pulse feedback from the UPM board, it is displayed in the screen as shown below. From this screen the user may reset the UPM board after it has enter the lockout mode by navigating to Reset UPM now? selecting yes and pressing the enter key. To navigate and or change properties on this screen the user may follow the same steps as illustrated in the changing a value section of this manual. From the Heating/ Cooling screen the user can see the actual state of the different points that are involved and needed for the cooling and heating operation respectively. 14 14 Home Screen menus Schedule Screens The Schedule screen can be accessed from the Home screen. To navigate and/or change properties on this screen the user may follow the same steps as illustrated in the changing a value section of this manual. The user will have the ability to configure and set up different operation schedules for the particular system. Daily Schedule The user will have the ability to configure different daily schedules, providing flexibility in case the end user has different occupied/unoccupied settings depending on time of day, day of week, or both. Example Customer operates as follows MON-WED-FRI TUE-THU 8:00AM-5:00PM 10:00AM-4:00PM In this case the system can be configured for each day to reflect the following Figure # 35 Daily Schedule Holiday Schedule (Exceptions) The user will have the ability to configure different Holiday schedules as exceptions to the daily schedules. This provides flexibility to override the daily schedule during these days. 15 (2015/11) Home Screen menus 15 Date: MODIFYING THE SCHEDULE The Schedule screen can be accessed from the Home screen if the user is not logged in the system it may be asked to log in. If prompted enter the four digit password and press OK. Highlight Weekly Schedule as shown in figure # 35, once highlighted press: Figure # 41 View and Edit Daily Schedule will appear. Select the day for which the schedule is to be modified and press Date range: Figure # 37 Figure # 38 Week/day combination Figure # 42 This brings the user to a new screen that will provide the means to change the on/off time schedule for the particular day chosen. Once the schedule has been updated, save the schedule using the save soft-key button. To save any of the changes made the user must press OK before the BACview is removed or is timed out. Calendar: Figure # 39 Figure # 43 Daily Schedule To program Holiday schedules, highlight Exceptions, and select Add with the corresponding soft-key. Follow the program prompts in the ensuing screens to set exceptions for individual days or a range of days. 16 16 Home Screen menus System Configuration Screen Factory defaults are shown below. The System Configuration screen can be accessed from the Home screen. If the user is not logged in the system he/she may be prompted to log in. When this menu is selected a page with a brief warning comes up to inform the user that only qualified technicians should be making changes on this page. Figure # 46 System Configuration On the Stpt page, the user can set the alarm trip limits and differential points for the different sensors installed in the unit. In addition the user can set the fan runtime hours for the filter alarm as well as enable or disable this feature. Enable/disable inputs on the Input Expansion Module (IEM) 3. Enable/disable local override and setpoint adjustments at the ZS sensor (Plus or Pro versions only) 4. Enable/disable the Loop Enable network point function. 5. Enable/disable Manual On operation (Occupied/ Unoccupied modes) 6. Enable/disable fan runtime to trip filter alarm. 17 (2015/11) Home Screen menus 17 Input/Output (I/O) Configuration Screen The I/O screen may be accessed from the Home screen, and provides the user a configuration list of all the I/Os on the controller. ZS Sensors Screen The ZS Sensors screen becomes available on the home screen when ZS sensors are enabled during setup. The screen provides information on the ZS combination room sensor configuration. The combination configuration determines the variables that will be measured by the controller (default Temp + RH + CO2), and may be changed to match the specific user application. Figure # 48 I/O Configuration From the Stpt screen, the user will have the opportunity to reconfigure any I/Os that were not previously configured during SETUP. These include: Sensor combination setup, enable/disable setpoint adjustment from the space, setpoint adjustment limits if adjustments are allowed, enable/disable local override from sensor, and set sensor display units (Celsius or Fahrenheit) for ZS Pro sensors. 18 18 Home Screen menus Indoor Air Quality Screen The IAQ screen can be accessed from the Home screen when the option is selected at SETUP. The screen provides the zone CO2 level (which can also be viewed on the Home screen) as well as configuration information on dampers (on/off or modulating) and ventilation options (Air Economizer). Humidity Screen The Humidity screen is only activated on the Home screen when a corresponding application is enabled in Setup; i.e. Hot Gas Reheat (HGRH) for humidity control or discharge air control with a humidity sensor selected in an input (IN-1 or IN-2). The screen provides information on the zone Relative Humidity (RH) when an RH sensor is present, and the corresponding input jumpers are set correctly. The screen also provides information on the status of the HGRH valve, and the zone dehumidification set point value. For discharge air control applications the screen further provides information on the discharge air temperature and effective setpoint. 19 (2015/11) Home Screen menus 19 Discharge Air Control Screen The Discharge Air Control screen can be accessed from the Home screen. This screen is typically active on the Home screen when Discharge Air Control (DAC) is selected at setup. The screen is unavailable for Zone Control applications. On this page the DAT set point as well as the DAT sensor offset can be modified. The effective DAT set point and the modulating valve status can also be viewed on this page. To modify the parameters on this screen select the Stpt softkey. Once in this page the DAT setpoint, temperature reset source and reset mode, as well as limits for the zone reset feature can be accessed and modified. Figure # 62 Discharge Air Control Setup Mixed Air Screen Figure # 59 Discharge Air Control This screen also allows the user to view the Outside Air Temperature (OAT) or Mixed Air Temperature (MAT) Reset screen by selecting the corresponding softkey. These screens allow the user to select the source of the sensor, select how often to reset the temperature when the Outside/Mixed Air Temperature Reset feature is selected, and view the OAT Heating, Part Cool, and Full Cool Trip points. To change the setpoints select the Stpt softkey. For Mixed Air (MA) applications with SCR controlled electric heat to maintain entering air, the output from the SCR PID controller is used to modulate the pre-heat air such that the entering air is not below the operation limits of the unit. The MA selection is enabled or disabled during SETUP. Once this feature is activated the menu becomes available on the Home screen. The Mixed Air Control screen provides the user the ability to select the mixed air and outdoor air temperature source, the amount of offset to be applied to that temperature, and the MA set point. 20 20 Home Screen Soft-Keys Economizer/Boilerless Screens For applications involving a Water-Side Economizer or Boilerless Electric Heat Control, this menu becomes accessible on the Home screen if this feature is selected at Setup. This screen provides the status of the Entering Water Temperature (EWT), as well as the ability to set the water temperature for the Economizer valve, or the EWT set-point for Boilerless applications. HOME SCREEN SOFT-KEYS The Home screen has four (4) main soft-keys that provide quick access to the most used categories of the software including: Alarm view 100 most recent alarms (see Alarm Screens for more information) Clockset set date and time SETUP main parameter configuration (see Unit Operation Setup Screen) Help software/contact information and troubleshooting tips (see Help Screen Page # 36) Figure # 65 Economizer Screen If the Economizer or Boilerless option is selected without selecting an input for EWT, a warning message is visible on this screen with a question mark [?]. UNIT OPERATION SETUP SCREEN This screen can be accessed via the HOME screen through the soft-key labeled SETUP, or through the [Unit Operation] menu screen by selecting SETUP (see Figure # 24). This menu (and subsequent screens in it) allows the commissioning agent to setup or modify all operational parameters and options of the unit. There are four (4) soft-keys associated with this screen (see Figure # 75); the Next soft-key is used to advance through the setup process, and the Home soft-key is used to return to the HOME screen. Selecting the Unit Cfg soft-key allows the user to access the UNIT CONFIGURATION menu, while the Chg PW soft-key is used to initiate the process of changing the User Password for accessing protected pages. Figure # 75 Soft keys Figure # 72 Alarm Screen ClockSet Screen The ClockSet screen allows the user to set or modify the system time for the BACview program. The screen is accessed by pressing the corresponding soft-key. Figure # 73 Set Time Once in this screen move with the arrow keys until the parameter that needs change is highlighted, press enter to selected and press the desired value. Subsequently, this screen can be accessed by pressing the following: Throughout the setup process, the Next softkey is used to advance to the next setup screen if available, while the Prev soft-key is used to backtrack to previous screens. The information displayed on preceding setup screens varies depending on options/parameters selected in previous screens. Once all operational parameters, options, and I/O are configured, these settings may be saved and archived to flash memory by selecting the Save Settings soft-key. The following parameters are available on the initial setup screen: Occupancy Command Compressor Control Wall Mount Sensor Figure # 74 Figure # 76 Unit Operation screen showing SETUP soft-key Occupancy Command Under the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen, this parameter is used to define the entity that will be providing the occupancy command to the unit. 22 22 Unit Operation Setup Screen Keypad Schedule: Keypad Schedule runs the unit on a local, modifiable schedule, which cannot be accessed over a network. The occupancy schedule for heating or cooling can be set according to the morning, daytime, and night time settings for each day of the week. The option will allow the unit to run on an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM default schedule everyday if the unit is to be started up during the construction phase of the project. See the Schedule Screens section on page # 14 for instructions on modifying this schedule using the BACview. Manual On: If the unit is intended to run all the time it can be set to Manual On, which will override the schedule and set the unit into occupied mode indefinitely. This setting is suitable for applications involving Discharge Air Control. When the BAS command option is selected for Occupancy Command, the user has the ability to have the unit continue to run in occupied mode when BAS communication is lost. This may be achieved by setting the Allow Unit to run when BAS fails? parameter to Yes under the System Config menu (see page # 16); this parameter is set to No by default. Compressor Control Under the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen, this parameter will provide the user the ability to determine where the temperature values are acquired to achieve compressor control. When Manual On mode is selected for Occupancy Command, the unit may be placed in the unoccupied mode by setting the Allow Manual On Operation? parameter to No under the System Config menu (See Page# 16); this parameter is set to Yes by default. Digital Input: The Digital Input option may be selected if the unit occupancy is required to be controlled remotely via a switch (dry contact) or other binary input. The connection (typically from a room occupancy sensor) may be made in IN-1 or IN-2 of the controller, and should be selected during the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION phase of the setup process (see page #25). Choosing this setting allows the unit to be placed in occupied mode once the input is shorted to ground, and in unoccupied mode once the input is opened. BAS Command: The unit factory default for the Occupancy Command parameter is set to BAS Command. A qualified technical agent may change the parameter to be BAS Command, if different from the default setting. This option will enable the unit to be commanded from the BAS Server. The unit is ready for BAS integration once this parameter is set up, and it can then be commanded to occupied or unoccupied via the BAS by writing to the Occupancy Status integration point (refer to Integration Points List document). Figure # 78 Discharge Air Control (DAC): This is selected when the application requires the temperature to be read from the supply duct (discharge air) to control compressor operation. This option should be used when the unit is designed for a Discharge Air Control application. Figure # 79 Zone Control-ZS: This option is selected when the application requires the temperature to be read from a space/zone using a ZS sensor mounted in that space as the primary source of temperature readings. This is the default setting from factory. Figure # 80 Zone Control-BAS: This option allows the user to acquire temperature values from an existing Building Automation System (BAS). 23 (2015/11) Unit Operation Setup Screen 23 Zone Control-Rem: This option allows the user to choose a remote zone sensor, (that is not ZS), for zone temperature readings. An example may be a duct mounted temperature sensor used for reading return air temperature. The temperature sensor must be connected in IN-2 of the controller, and explicitly selected during the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION phase of the setup process Figure # 82 Wall Mount Sensor This parameter provides the user an opportunity to enable or disable the use of ZS wall mounted sensor(s) in the space, either as the primary source of temperature readings for a Zone Control application, or for the Zone Temperature Reset option during Discharge Air Control applications. Figure # 83 ZS Combo Sensor(s): Choosing this setting allows the user to enable a ZS Wall Mount Sensor in the zone for zone temperature readings, as well as CO2 and/or relative humidity readings. Up to five (5) ZS sensors may be daisy chained to each controller, as long as they re properly addressed. This is the default setting from factory. Choosing None for this parameter disables the ZS sensor function in the controller programming, and the controller no longer recognizes a ZS sensor at the Rnet port (even if one is connected). Fan Operation In addition, there are three sub-menus on this screen that may be accessed for further, advanced configurations through the soft-keys for Tuning, Calib and PIDS. Figure # 85 Only qualified technical agents should attempt making modifications on these menus. Compressor Stages This parameter allows the user to choose the number of compressors and stages for the application. This parameter is typically set up from factory to match the unit configuration and should only be changed by a qualified technician. Ensure the compressor configuration is set accurately as this selection will determine the code structure for reporting compressor safety alarms from the Unit Protection Module (UPM) to the controller. The fault codes for a 1 compressor 1 stage unit are different from that for a 2 compressor 2 stage unit. 2 Compressor 2 Stages: This value is selected when unit has 2 compressors and each compressor will operate as an independent stage. 1 Compressor 2 Stages: This value is selected when a unit has 1 compressor that has two independent stages. This is the default setting from factory. UNIT CONFIGURATION Screen This screen is accessed from the UNIT OPERATION SETUP page by selecting Unit Cfg via the corresponding soft-key. Most of the parameters on this page are setup at the factory based on the type of unit ordered; however, in some cases (e.g. setting up a Field Installed DDC controller) these settings may need to be modified. 1 Compressor 1 Stage: This value is selected when a unit has 1 compressor with only 1 stage of operation. Unit operation mode Figure # 86 This variable is used to set the heat/cool configuration of the heat pump unit. Figure # 84 There are four main parameters on this page: Compressor Stages Unit Operation Mode Evap Coil Configuration Heat Pump: This value is selected when the unit is equipped with a reversing valve, and intended for heating and cooling operations. 24 24 Unit Configuration Soft Key Menus Straight Cool: This value is selected when the unit is not equipped with a reversing valve, and is intended for cooling only operations. Figure # 87 UNIT CONFIGURATION SOFT KEY MENUS Tuning parameters Soft Key Menu This screen can be accessed by selecting the Tuning softkey on the UNIT CONFIGURATION screen, or by pressing: Binary output #2 (BO-2) on the controller is disabled when the Straight Cool option is selected for Unit Operation Mode. Evap Coil Configuration This parameter allows the user to choose the evaporator coil configuration setup of the unit. Figure # 88 Series: This option is selected if the evaporator coils on the heat pump unit are not adjacent to each other, but rather arranged one behind the other. Figure # 90 In addition, on this screen the unit heating and cooling percentage demands are shown. Based on these values the unit will determine when to initiate a cooling or heating operation. If the unit is configured for cooling only operation, this screen will not show the points associated with heating controls and demands. Selecting Series for Evap Coil Configuration disables second stage compressor operation during heating, ONLY for DAC applications. This option should be selected for applications where cooling only is required for second stage. Parallel: This option is selected if the evaporator coils on the heat pump unit are arranged adjacent to each other; either side-by-side, or one on top of the other. This is the default setting from factory. Figure # 91 Tuning Parameters Calibration Screen Soft Key Menu This screen can be accessed by selecting the Calib softkey on the UNIT CONFIGURATION screen, or by pressing the following: Fan Operation This parameter allows the user to choose the fan configuration setup of the unit. Figure # 89 Start/Stop: This option is selected if the fan will be controlled by a single binary output for on/off operation. S/S + VFD: This option is selected if a VFD will be used to control the fan speed to maintain static pressure. Figure # 92 Once in the calibration screen the user may view the offset points for the different active temperatures. From this screen the user can also access the calibration parameters and offset the sensors readings in order to test the unit prior or during the commissioning process. 25 (2015/11) OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION Screen 25 PID Screen Soft Key Menu If it becomes necessary to adjust the PID values for discharge air cooling action, modulating reheat valve action, or Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) controlled electric heat, these values can be accessed by selecting the PID soft-key. Choosing this option defaults to the PID screen for discharge air cooling. The next setup page (OPTION SETUP) is populated based on the selections made on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen, and allow configuration of the selected parameters where applicable. Figure # 96 Elec Heat PID Parameters Adjusting the loop gains can drastically affect how the systems responds to variables and should only be carried out by a qualified technician. BO-4 Options This parameter allows the user to select an option to be controlled by the on/off, relay action (24VAC) of Binary Output #4 of the FHP560/583 controller. OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION SCREEN This is the second screen in the setup process, and is accessed by choosing Next from the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen, once all the appropriate selections have been made on that screen. This selection is ONLY available when 1 compressor 1 stage is selected for Compressor Stages (single stage operation applications). The options available for this parameter include: Hot Gas Reheat Aux Electric Heat Fresh Air Damper (2015/11)

26 26 OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION Screen Hot Gas Reheat: This option is selected when the unit is equipped with a reheat coil for humidity control with hot gas reheat. The signal from BO-4 is used to turn the reheat valve on or off. Hot Gas Reheat: This option is selected when the unit is equipped with a reheat coil for humidity control with hot gas reheat. The signal from BO-5 is used to turn the reheat valve on or off. If a non-zs wall-mount sensor with RH capabilities is used, the sensor must be selected in IN-1 or IN-2. Figure # 98 Aux Electric Heat: This option is selected when the unit application includes the option for a single stage of auxiliary electric heat. The signal from BO-4 is used to turn the electric heater relay/contactor on or off. Figure # 99 Fresh Air Damper: This option is selected when the unit application requires the control of an outside air damper for indoor air quality control and also for the Air Economizer in Zone Control option. The signal from BO-4 is used to activate a solenoid to open or close the damper. When Discharge Air Control (DAC) is selected for Compressor Control, the Hot Gas Reheat variable is omitted from the list of available options for BO-4. BO-5 Options Figure # 100 This parameter allows the user to select an option to be controlled by the on/off, relay action (24VAC) of Binary Output #5 of the FHP560/583 controller. The options available for this parameter include: Hot Gas Reheat Aux Electric Heat Fresh Air Damper Condenser Water Valve Circulation Water Pump Economizer Boilerless For dual stage units all the above listed options are available under BO-5 Options, however, for single stage units only the options not listed in BO-4 Options are available under BO-5 options. Aux Electric Heat: This option is selected when the unit application includes the option for a single stage of auxiliary electric heat. The signal from BO-5 is used to turn the electric heater relay/contactor on or off. Fresh Air Damper: This option is selected when the unit application requires the control of an outside air damper for indoor air quality control and also for the Air Economizer in Zone Control option. The signal from BO-5 is used to activate a solenoid to open or close the damper. Condenser Water Valve: This option is selected when the unit application requires the verification of flow in the condenser coil prior to engaging the compressor(s). The signal from BO-5 is used to activate the leaving water valve based on a call for cooling or heating. A Valve End Switch (VES) connected in IN-5 (or Input Expansion Module) is used to verify the valve action in order to engage the compressor(s). Circulation Water Pump: This option is selected when the unit application requires the verification of loop pump operation prior to engaging the compressor(s). The signal from BO-5 is used to activate the pump relay based on a call for cooling or heating. The dry/auxiliary contacts of a current sensor used to monitor pump activation is connected in IN-5 (or Input Expansion Module) to verify the pump status prior to engaging the compressor(s). Economizer: This option is selected when the unit application involves a water-side economizer. The signal from BO-5 is used to activate the economizer valve when the appropriate conditions in the software are satisfied. An Entering Water Temperature (EWT) sensor is connected in IN-2 to control economizer operation. Boilerless: This option is selected when the unit application includes boilerless electric heat control. The signal from BO-5 is used to activate electric heat when the appropriate conditions in the software are satisfied. 27 (2015/11) OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION Screen 27 AO-1 Options Figure # 101 This parameter allows the user to select an option to be controlled by the 0-10VDC modulating signal from Analog Output #1 of the FHP583 controller. The options available for this parameter include: VFD Control Mixed Air Control SCR controlled Auxiliary Electric Heat VFD Control: This option is selected when the unit application involves using a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to control the fan. The signal from AO-1 is used to vary the fan speed up or down based on readings from a static pressure sensor connected in IN-1 of the controller. Figure # 102 Mixed Air Control: This option is selected for Mixed Air (MA) applications, where it is required to modulate the pre-heat air such that the entering air is not below the operation limits of the unit. The signal from AO-1 may be used as the input for a Silicon-Controlled Rectifier (SCR) to preheat the outdoor air to meet the desired operating temperature based on readings from a mixed air temperature sensor connected in IN-2 of the controller. The Mixed Air Control option only shows under the AO-1 Options parameter when Discharge Air Control (DAC) is selected for Compressor Control. Electric Heat with SCR: This option is selected for applications requiring modulated auxiliary electric heat. The signal from AO-1 is used as the input for a Silicon-Controlled Rectifier (SCR) to provide an auxiliary source of heat. Modulating Hot Gas Reheat Control: This option is selected when the unit application requires modulating hot gas reheat for discharge air control applications, or for humidity control in zone control applications. The signal from AO-2 is used to adjust the modulating reheat valve to maintain a specified discharge air temperature. AO-3 Options This parameter allows the user to select an option to be controlled by the 0-10VDC modulating signal from Analog Output #3 of the FHP583 controller. The options available for this parameter include: Modulating Fresh Air Damper Control Figure # 103 Modulating Fresh Air Damper Control: This option is selected when the unit application requires a modulating damper to control indoor air quality. The signal from AO-3 is used to adjust the signal to the damper solenoid based on CO2 readings. Rnet Input Figure # 104 This parameter is only available if the use of ZS sensors is enabled; that is, ZS Combo Sensor(s) is selected for the Wall Mount Sensor parameter. The parameter allows the user to select the sensing combination to be used by the corresponding ZS wall sensor(s) connected at the Rnet port. E.g. the combination Temp + RH may be selected for a sensor that reads all 3 variables, if CO2 is not required. Figure # 106 This parameter allows the user to select what input device will be connected in IN-1 of the controller where applicable. For proper operation of the unit, the appropriate input should be selected, and the input should match the corresponding options and application of the unit. The following inputs are available for IN-1: Static Pressure Sensor (0-5V) - Required for VFD RH probe (0-5V) - Required for HGRH without ZS CO2 Sensor (0-5V) - Used on some Damper options Digital Input for Occupancy Enable (Dry) The IN-1 jumper on the controller may need to be set accordingly for Dry/Therm or 0-5V. The factory default for the controller is 0-5V. Input 5 Figure # 108 This parameter allows the user to select what input device will be connected in IN-5 of the controller where applicable. Input #5 may be used as a single source for Dry/Therm inputs, or an Input Expansion Module (IEM) may be connected in this input for a specific trio of Dry inputs (see Table # 3 for further details). Enable Smoke Detector on IEM is used to enable or disable the SDS functionality when the IEM is used. Enable Fan Status on IEM is used to enable or disable the FSS functionality when the IEM is used. Enable Valve End on IEM is used to enable or disable the VES functionality when the IEM is used. Figure # 111 Options Setup Screen This is the third screen in the setup process, and is accessed by choosing Next from the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen, once all the appropriate selections have been made on that screen. Enable High Zone CO2 Alarm is used to enable or disable the alarm function that alerts the user when the space CO2 levels are above a configured setpoint. CO2 Level High Alarm Trip is used to set the value (in ppm) at which the enabled alarm will trip. Figure # 114 Option Setup On/Off Damper (no CO2) Option Setup: Figure # 116 Option Setup Modulating Damper Option Setup: These parameters become available when Modulating Fresh Air Damper is selected for AO-3 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen. Mod Damper Min Position is used to select the minimum position (in %open) for the damper while maintaining CO2 levels in the space. Mod Damper Activation is used to determine how damper modulation is triggered. The process can be initiated by one of the following: Occupied Unoccupied Any Occupancy Figure # 115 Option Setup The parameter for this option becomes available when Fresh Air Damper is selected for BO-4 Options or BO-5 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen. Damper Options is used to select how the damper is activated. The damper may be indexed on by one of the following three (3) options: 1. Dmpr Open on Fan : The damper opens a few seconds after the fan output is energized and closes when the output is de-energized. 2. Dmpr Open on Occ : The damper opens a few seconds after the unit enters Occupied mode, and closes when unit leaves occupied mode (Unoccupied). 3. Air Economizer : Upon a call for cooling, if the outside air temperature and humidity is within a user configured range, compressor operation is ceased, the damper is indexed open, and the fan is used to condition the space. Zone DeHumidification Setpt is used to set the RH set-point to be maintained with Hot Gas Reheat. Zone DeHumid Stpt Differential is used to establish the RH trip value for initiating humidity control via HGRH in the space. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Option Setup: These parameters become available when VFD Control is selected for AO-1 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen (Static pressure input required). VFD Minimum Fan Speed is used to select the minimum speed (in %) for the fan while maintaining static pressure levels. Static Pressure Setpoint is used to configure the duct static pressure set-point to be maintained by the VFD. Figure # 119 Option Setup Modulating Reheat (Zone Control) Option Setup: These parameters become available when a Zone Control options is selected for Compressor Control under the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen, an RH sensor is selected for Rnet Input, Input 1, Input 2 or BAS Input (RH) AND Mod Hot Gas Reheat is selected for AO-2 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen. Zone DeHumidification Setpt is used to set the RH set-point to be maintained with Hot Gas Reheat. Zone DeHumid Stpt Differential is used to establish the RH trip value for initiating humidity control via HGRH in the space. Discharge Air Temp Setpoint is used to set the discharge air temperature to be maintained when using modulating hot gas reheat to maintain space humidity. Figure # 121 Option Setup Smoke/Fire Alarm Option Setup: These parameters become available when Smoke Detector Switch (SDS) is selected for Input 5 on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen. Smoke Event Fan response is used to configure fan behavior during an emergency event. The fan may be configured to STOP when a smoke/fire alarm event is triggered, or RUN when the smoke/fire alarm is triggered. Smoke Event Fan speed (VFD) is used instead for units with VFD to configure the fan behavior during an emergency event. Fan speed may be set anywhere from 0% (off) to 100% (maximum on) in response to the smoke/fire alarm being triggered. Figure # 120 Option Setup Hot Gas Reheat is initiated to maintain space humidity ONLY when space temperature is satisfied. Figure # 122 Option Setup Water-Side Economizer Option Setup: These parameters become available when Economizer is selected for BO-5 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen (EWT Sensor input required). Econ Valve Water Stpt is used to set the EWT trip value (in F) below which the economizer valve is energized to provide free cooling without compressors. Econ Entering Stpt Diff is used to set the EWT value (in F) above which the economizer valve is deenergized and free cooling operation is ceased. This differential value is added to the trip value to determine the high limit at which to disengage the economizer valve. Figure # 123 Option Setup (2015/11)

32 32 ZONE CONTROL/DISCHARGE AIR CONTROL SETUP Screen Boilerless Electric Heat Option Setup: These parameters become available when Boilerless is selected for BO-5 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen (EWT Sensor input required). Boilerless Entering Wtr Stpt is used to set the EWT trip value (in F) below which compressor operation is ceased to protect the coils, and the single stage of auxiliary electric heat is enabled. Boilerless Entering Stpt Diff is used to set the EWT value (in F) above which boilerless operation is disabled. This differential value is added to the trip value to determine the high limit at which to terminate the boilerless electric heat operation. Figure # 124 Mixed Air Control Option Setup: These parameters become available when Discharge Air Control (DAC) is selected for Compressor Control under the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen AND Mixed Air Control is selected for AO-1 Options on the OPTIONS & I/ O SELECTION screen (MAT& OAT Sensor input required). MAT Input Source is used to select whether the MAT sensor is hard-wired (IN-5) or supplied via a network (BAS). OAT Input Source is used to select whether the OAT sensor is hard-wired (IN-2) or supplied via a network (BAS). Mixed Air Temp Setpoint is used to set the MA temperature to be maintained using an SCR (Silicon- Controlled Rectifier). Outside Air Pre-heat trip is used to establish the OA temperature trip value for initiating SCR modulation to maintain MAT at setpoint. Low MAT Alarm trip is used to establish the MA temperature trip value below which an alarm is triggered to alert user of a low MAT condition. MAT Offset Cal +/- 2F is used to establish any offsets to be added or subtracted from the read MAT. ZONE CONTROL/DISCHARGE AIR CONTROL SETUP SCREEN Figure # 126 Zone Control Setup This is the fourth screen in the setup process, and is accessed by choosing Next from the OPTION SETUP screen, once all the appropriate configurations have been made on that screen. This screen allows the user to further configure any parameters specific to a Zone Control or Discharge Air Control application. If a Zone Control options is selected for Compressor Control under the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen, parameters for Zone Control are displayed. If Discharge Air Control (DAC) is selected for Compressor Control under the UNIT OPERATION SETUP screen, parameters for Discharge Air Control are displayed. For Zone Control applications this page represents the last screen in the setup process and provides an opportunity for the user to save settings. For Discharge Air Control applications select Next for additional parameter configuration. Select Yes to allow the space occupant to change temperature setpoint from the ZS Pro (by the allowable amount), or No to prevent setpoint manipulation in the space. ZS Temp Stpt Adjustment Limit is used to set the allowable amount by which the zone temperature setpoint may be adjusted in the space via a ZS sensor. The default value is +/- 3 F. Allow local override at sensor? is used to establish the ZS Pro s occupancy override feature in the space. Select Yes to allow the space occupant to override the occupancy schedule from the ZS Pro (place unit in occupied mode), or No to prevent local occupancy override in the space. ZS Sensor Temperature Units is used to set the temperature units for the ZS Pro sensor display in the space (Deg F or Deg C). Zone Control Setup: Figure # 129 Zone Control Setup When Zone Control is selected for Compressor Control the following parameters may be configured on this page: Occupied Heating is used to set the zone occupied heating temperature setpoint. This parameter becomes unavailable for Straight Cool units. Occupied Cooling is used to set the zone occupied cooling temperature setpoint. Unoccupied Heating is used to set the zone unoccupied heating temperature setpoint. This parameter becomes unavailable for Straight Cool units. Unoccupied Cooling is used to set the zone unoccupied cooling temperature setpoint. Figure # 128 Zone Control Setup When two or more ZS sensors (up to five sensors daisychained to one controller) are used per control program, the following parameters become available on this page for configuration: Multiple ZS Temp calc mode is used to establish how the effective zone temperature readings from the connected ZS sensors is calculated and transmitted to the control program. The temperature readings may be calculated based on the Average, Maximum, or Minimum temperature of the different sensors. Multiple ZS CO2 calc mode is used to establish how the effective zone CO2 readings from the connected ZS sensors is calculated and transmitted to the control program. The CO2 readings may be calculated based on the Average, Maximum, or Minimum CO2 of the different sensors. Multiple ZS Hum calc mode is used to establish how the effective zone relative humidity readings from the connected ZS sensors is calculated and transmitted to the control program. The RH readings may be calculated based on the Average, Maximum, or Minimum RH of the different sensors. Once the selections are made for any of the preceding 3 parameters, use the [Do not apply mode changes] or [Apply mode changes] parameter to save or cancel the changes. Zone Control (Air Economizer) Setup: The following parameters become available on this page for Zone Control Applications when the Air Economizer option is enabled by selecting Fresh Air Damper for BO-4 Options or BO-5 Options on the OPTIONS & I/O SELECTION screen AND selecting Air Economizer for Damper Options on the OPTION SETUP screen. Air Econ Cooling OAT Lo Limit is used to set the low temperature limit for the OAT range required for free cooling. Air Econ Cooling OAT Hi Limit is used to set the high temperature limit for the OAT range required for free cooling. Air Econ Cooling OARH Lo Limit is used to set the low relative humidity limit for the OARH range required for free cooling. Air Econ Cooling OARH Hi Limit is used to set the high relative humidity limit for the OARH range required for free cooling. Outdoor Air Temp source BAS? is used to select the temperature source for the OAT sensor (BAS vs. Hardwired). Choosing Yes selects a network source for OA temperature readings, and No selects and wired source in IN-2 of the controller. Outdoor Air RH source BAS? is used to select the relative humidity source for the OARH sensor (BAS vs. Hardwired). Choosing Yes selects a network source for OA humidity readings, and No selects and wired source in IN-1 or IN-2 of the controller (2015/11)

34 34 ARCHIVE-COMMISSIONING Screen Save Settings: Figure # 130 Air Econ Cooling Disch Air Temp Stpt Reset enables or disables the Zone Temperature Reset (ZTR) option, which provides a means to adjust the DAT setpoint (userconfigurable) as the zone temperature increases above the cooling setpoint. When DAC option is selected the [Save Settings] softkey becomes unavailable, and the [Next] soft-key becomes available instead, prompting the user to proceed to the next screen for more unit configuration setup. ARCHIVE-COMMISSIONING SCREEN Figure # 131 Archive Commissioning The [Save Settings] soft-key option becomes available on this page to signify the last step for Zone Control application setup. This parameter provides the user the opportunity to archive all previously modified settings to the controller RAM, so that in the event of a power loss the settings are preserved along with the software. See the Archive-Commissioning page for more information on saving settings. Discharge Air Control Setup: Figure # 132 Discharge Air Control Setup When the Discharge Air Control (DAC) option is selected for Compressor Control the following parameters may be configured on this page: Discharge Air Temp Setpoint is used to set the leaving air temperature setpoint the unit will modulate to achieve. Temperature Reset Source is used to select between Outside Air or Mixed Air reset for compressor staging. Temperature Reset Mode is used to select between a Single reset or Multiple resets. Selecting Multiple resets (default) allows the unit compressor to be staged for heating, free cooling, part-load cooling, and full-load cooling, based on Outside or Mixed air. Figure # 133 Archive Commissioning This screen becomes available when the [Save Settings] soft-key is pressed. It provides the end-user the opportunity to archive all previously modified settings to the controller flash RAM. In the event of a power loss the settings are preserved along with the software, and are reloaded from flash when the unit is powered on. If parameter modifications are not archived the software is reloaded to factory defaults. Save Settings selecting this parameter and choosing Yes begins the archive process and saves the software modifications to flash memory. This process takes about 30 seconds during which the RUN and ERROR lights on the DDC controller (LEDs) flash green and red intermittently. The process is completed once the flashing ceases. Archive Status displays the state of the configuration saving process as Saved, Saving or Unsupported. When Yes is selected for Save Settings, the Archive Status will display Saving during the archive process. Once the process is completed successfully the status reverts to Saved. OUTSIDE AIR RESET/MIXED AIR RESET SETUP SCREEN Figure # 134 Outside Air Reset Setup This is the fifth screen in the setup process, and is accessed by choosing Next from the DISCHARGE AIR CONTROL SETUP screen, once all the appropriate configurations have been made on that screen (2015/11) Subject to change without prior notice

If Outside Air is selected for Temperature Reset Source on the preceding page (DISCHARGE AIR CONTROL SETUP), the Outside Air Reset Setup page is displayed. If Mixed Air is selected for Temperature Reset Source on the preceding page (DISCHARGE AIR CONTROL SETUP), the Mixed Air Reset Setup page is displayed. The following parameters are available for configuration on this page when Outside Air is selected for Temperature Reset Source on the preceding page: Outside Air Temp Sensor is used to set the OAT source as Hard-wired or BAS. Hard-wired is selected if a sensor is wired in IN-2 of the controller for OAT readings, and BAS is selected if OAT readings are to be supplied by a network point. OAT Single Reset Temp is used to set the OAT trip value for compressor reset operation when Single reset is selected for Temperature Reset Mode on the previous page. This screen allows the user to further configure parameters specific to the DAT setpoint reset option used during the Discharge Air Control application. The following parameters are available for configuration on this page: As Zone Temp Changes from is used to set the lower limit of the zone temperature above which the DAT setpoint will be reset using a linear algorithm. To is used to set the high limit of the zone temperature below which the DAT setpoint will be reset using a linear algorithm. DAT Setpoint Resets from is used to set the initial DAT setpoint for which the zone reset will be applied. This value should match the actual DAT setpoint value set for Discharge Air Temp Setpoint on the DISCHARGE AIR CONTROL SETUP screen. To is used to set the final value of the DAT setpoint for which the zone reset will be applied (2015/11)

36 36 Help Screen Once all parameters are set use the [Save Settings] softkey to save and archive all settings to flash memory. HELP SCREEN The Help screen can be accessed from the Home screen. To navigate on this screen the user may follow the same steps as illustrated in the changing a value section of this manual. From the Help screen the user is able to access the software version of the controller to which is connected. Other information on this screen include the controller part number and unit serial number. This information will be useful whenever technical support is contacted, or may be required to download the correct manuals or integration point list files from our website. Selecting the [ZS] softkey displays tips for issues specific to ZS sensors. Figure # 136 Help Screen The technical support phone numbers can also be found in this screen. 37 (2015/11) OTHER USEFUL SCREENS (SHORT-CUTS) 37 OTHER USEFUL SCREENS (SHORT- CUTS) Keypad Configuration The user or administrator can change the amount of time the Keypad is kept lit by pressing the function key and number six and then changing the number of minutes the keypad is to remain lit. The checkout/overrides screen allows the user to start up the unit by overriding its outputs. The user can also use this screen as test procedure to ensure the low voltage components are working according to the unit wiring diagram. When overriding inputs or outputs the alarm LED of the BACview will light up indicating an override condition. In addition, if the unit has the ZS-Pro sensor connected to the Rnet port it will display the bell that indicates alarm condition. Figure # 139 Figure # 140 Key Pad Configuration BACnet Screen This screen can be accessed by pressing the following: Figure # 144 Override/Checkout-HP with Aux Heat (EH) Figure # 141 Figure # 142 BACnet Screen On the screen the BACnet ID will be displayed. This value can be changed, however, BOSCH TT does not recommend changing it arbitrarily as it may cause network problems. Always consult with Network Administrator (Front End company) before changing the controllers BACnet ID as it may interfere with other devices in the network. Overrides Screen This screen can be accessed by pressing the following: Figure # 145 Override/Checkout-HP with HGRH These screens will change depending on the user configurations, the two shown above on figures #144 and #145 are just two examples of commonly used unit configurations. 38 38 Troubleshooting and help tips TROUBLESHOOTING AND HELP TIPS Symbols that may appear in the Display Question marks (?????) indicate a parameter that was previously selected but no longer available. An example would be selecting the HGRH option in BO- 5 when Zone Control is selected, then changing the compressor control to Discharge Air Control; since HGRH is not a viable option for this control mode, it is no longer available and??? will appear in its place. To rectify this issue select an available option, or choose No Option Selected if no option is used. Muting Alarms Figure # 148 Help description example Alarms are displayed and broadcasted through the network and usually indicate equipment malfunctioning or maintenance required. To mute or silence an alarm press MUTE key on the BACview: Figure # 146 Options & I/O Selection Pound signs (#####) indicate that a value has too many digits to display in the existing field. User may be able to navigate the available screens using pre-programmed Hotkeys or Highlighting Links. Figure # 149 Once the mute key is pressed the alarm will be silenced, however it will not be removed from the active status window. The user will be required to press FN+MUTE to silence an alarm and remove its active status in the BACview6. The alarm is then moved from the Active Alarms category to the Manually Cleared category on the Alarms screen. BACview help screens [?] When the user configures the unit for a particular setting there may be some hardware settings that are required for the new configuration to work (for instance jumper settings). The program has self-diagnostics capability to inform the user of such a setting. A question mark [?] means the program has detected a feature but needs jumper setting configuration to work properly. The Figure # 150 The BACview red LED is normally lit during an alarm condition (in normal operation mode). In addition, it will turn on once the user overrides a variable to alert or remind the user that the system is not operating according to its programmed sequence of operation but in override mode. A temperature value of -60 F typically indicates that the software is not configured to read the input, or the hardware for the input has failed.
