Intel is the fastest growing channel brand of Ecommerce channel expanded in 2012 by 26% The ecommerce channel, as measured by Icecat, has expanded in 2012 by 26% year-on-year in terms of Data-sheet Downloads (DDs) via 25,871 different ecommerce partners. The growth of the ecommerce channel has slowed down only a bit because of the Euro crisis. The ecommerce channel continues to be an exponent of the rise of the digital, global economy. The number of connected channel partners has grown by 43%. These partners were downloading 1.6 billion data-sheets in 2012, and are expected to download more than 2 billion data-sheets during This roughly corresponds to 30 billion data-sheet views via the websites of connected ecommerce partners in some 50 different countries. When comparing the energy efficiency class of 152 washing machines, A+++ rated products were viewed on average 142% more frequently than B rated products via ecommerce websites. Based on these figures, it seems highly likely that more eco-friendly washing machines gets significantly more buyer interest. Top 10 overall: HP dominates, Toshiba rises Top 10 Channel Brands 2012 based on data-sheet downloads (DDs) In the top 10, HP is still the unchallenged leading channel brand. Toshiba (+61%), Canon (+40%), Philips (+39%) and Samsung (+30%) make of the top 10 relatively most progress. The positions of Lenovo, Asus and Acer were eroding in Samsung is benefitting from its leaps in smartphones, LED TVs and tablets. Intel fastest growing brand in 2012 Intel is already performing well for a while. In 2012, Intel (+215%) was the fastest growing brand

Braun is the only consumer electronics brand in the fast-growth list and is benefitting from licensing its brand to a wider range of categories. Top 10 categories: Notebooks lead, servers drop Notebooks are still on top in 2012, while the most significant shaker is PCs. Investments in workplaces are reduced, and a notebook is preferred instead of an old-fashioned desktop PC. Colocation services (+59%) make the biggest jump into the top 10. It s remarkable that support (#2), licenses (#8) and services (#10) are all top 10 categories. It shows a shift from hardware to software & services in the online channel.

LED-TVs (+141%) was the fast-growth leader of 2011, but is still capable of grabbing position 2 replacing older TV technologies.
