2 Francesco Rispoli Manager of satellite technologies Ansaldo STS Francesco Rispoli has more than 30 years experience on satellite technologies and applications, leading innovation advances on telecommunications, e-health, emergency relief and rail transport. In the 2011 he joined Ansaldo STS as responsible for satellite technology and rail telecom in the Innovation and Competitiveness Unit. Previously he has worked for Telespazio as chief new initiatives and with Alenia Spazio as vice president of multimedia business unit. He received the doctoral degree in electronic engineering in 1978 from the Polytechnic of Turin and the Master in Applied Electromagnetism in 1980 from the University La Sapienza of Roma. He is deputy chairman of Radiolabs, responsible for high tech industry-university research on rail applications, and board s director of Galileo Services. He has contributed to the scientific research and innovation with about 80 papers published in international symposia and magazines and to technology spin-offs for giving birth to SkyplexNet, the first emergency-network for the Italian Civil Protection, Fire Brigades and Prefectures, and to Telbios, the pioneering-enterprise of telemedicine in Europe. In 2012 he has been awarded the Finmeccanica Innovation Prize. 2

3 Olivier Onidi Director for Innovative and Sustainable Mobility DG MOVE, European Commission Olivier Onidi is Director for the "European Mobility Network" within the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission (from 1/11/2013). and investment strategies. Mr Onidi oversees the Directorate with responsibility for the promotion of the Trans-European Transport Network policy, the implementation of the single European rail area, inland navigation and port policy and the development of infrastructure innovation His last assignment was as Director for Innovative and Sustainable Mobility within the Directorate- General for Mobility and Transport. Before, he was Deputy Head of Cabinet of the Energy Commissioner, Mr Günther H. Oettinger. He also worked as Head of Unit for air transport and Head of the satellite navigation system programme GALILEO, as assistant to Directors-General in the areas of Energy & Transport, External Relations, the Secretariat General and in the cabinet of the Commissioner for Research and Development, innovation, education and training. Before joining the Commission, he worked as adviser to the Executive Committee of Belgacom and as public policy Manager at American Express International. Mr Onidi holds a Master of Science in Economics, a Master in European Studies and in Business Administration. 3

4 Carlo des Dorides Executive Director European GNSS Agency Carlo des Dorides was nominated the Executive Director of the European GNSS Agency in January Before taking office, Mr des Dorides had key management responsibilities at the European Commission, DG Enterprise. In particular, he was responsible for the definition of the Galileo/EGNOS exploitation phase. Before joining the Commission, Mr des Dorides was Head of the Concession Department at the European GNSS Supervisory Authority and, in this same function, he served as chief negotiator of the Galileo Public Private Partnership/ Concession contract at the Galileo Joint Undertaking. Prior to his work with the European Union, Mr des Dorides was Director of Programs and Engineering at ENAV (Ente Nazionale Assistenza al Volo) and was responsible for updating the technology of Italian airports and Area Control Centers. He has also held several senior management positions in the aerospace private sector including Head of Unit for advanced telecommunication programs and Program Manager for major satellite telecommunication projects at Alenia Aerospazio. Mr des Dorides holds a degree in engineering from the University of Rome and an MBA from CUOA, Vicenza, Italy. 4
