8 Philadelphia Papal Visit Network Configuration 3 Primary Sites Augmented by existing Camden Network PA sites leveraged parking decks (6 6 deployable design) Van deployed in King of Prussia, PA supporting PA State Police briefings Tahoe deployed to support PA prison visit

9 Key Papal Event Observations Excellent collaboration and cooperation between PA and NJ to identify locations to house assets during event Overall good user feedback of data speeds. No user issues reported when switching between Band 14 and Commercial networks (Mutualink groups stayed intact when devices switched between networks via VPN) Good use case with football case, hot spot created via Wi-Fi to extend coverage below ground to personnel outside of band14 and commercial traffic Video feeds shared throughout the day of traffic incoming from Camden to the Philadelphia core Majority of the public safety Band14 traffic Voice application (VoIP) over Band 14 tested and included as backup to commercial services

10 NJ Transit Strike Although averted, NJ Transit requested JerseyNet support to manage NJ/NY commuters during planned strike High commercial demand anticipated during strike Assets quickly deployed and tested Planned service to support NJ Transit kiosks at Meadowland facility to facilitate routing commuters via bus assets Demonstrated excellent collaboration and execution between OIT, NJ Transit, State PD and the Meadowlands commission.

15 FEMA Full Scale Exercise Federal Emergency Management Agency Region II Neptune System Exercise Series Full-Scale Exercise This was a full-scale exercise, planned for six hours at the International-Matex Tank Terminal Bayonne at 250 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, New Jersey Exercise play was limited to 9:00 am 3:00 pm Eastern Time Lightning strikes a fuel tank at the International-Matex Tank Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey. Fuel inside the tank is ignited and burns freely, resulting in exposure to adjacent tanks and fuel leakage into the Hudson Bay

16 A Real-World Event Occurred in Conjunction with the FEMA Drill JerseyNet Enabled Communications From the FEMA AAR: Through JerseyNet, participants were able to establish video, voice and text over Band 14 and satellite. Communications personnel were successful in establishing interoperability with all seven playing agencies

17 Metro Strike Force USAR Drill The objective of the drill was to exercise the capabilities of the equipment and training of first responders at a disaster site. The Newark OEM staff setup up a series of five challenging stations requiring the participants to overcome obstacles in the search and recovery of victims involved. Over the course of four days NJ OHSP staff established connectivity with eleven handheld devices and distributed them to command and control staff.
