2 Introduction The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has worked on major revisions of the ISO 9001 and ISO standards. The revision of ISO 9001 includes various important changes for organizations currently holding ISO 9001 certification and those contemplating the development and implementation of a quality management system. The ISO standard was also revised, as the changes made by ISO are applied to all management system standards in future. Through this seminar, participants will have an overview of the revisions made to both QMS & EMS systems. Participants will also understand the major changes they need to implement in their established management systems. Moreover, the seminar will also help participants who wish to integrate their management systems. 3 About Speaker Dr. Danny Ker Vice President, Quality Management TÜV SÜD ASEAN Dr. Danny Ker is a Vice President, Quality Management with TÜV SÜD ASEAN. He specialises in the area of Total Quality Management & Business Excellence Management and has a total of over 26 years of experience. Dr. Ker is currently an Associate Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management and a National Business Excellence Assessor, SPRING, Singapore ( who has assessed several business excellence applications. He is also a qualified Tony Buzan's Licensed Instructor on Mind Maps. Recently, he has completed his Master Degree in Knowledge Management with the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Mr. Praveen TEKCHANDANI Assistant Vice President, Auditing Centre TÜV SÜD PSB M r. Tekchandani is an Asst. Vice President and Auditor for environmental products namely Energy M anagement System, Carbon Footprint, CDM, EM S & CSR in TÜV SÜD ASEAN. He is also responsible for the environmental product development in ASEAN region. He has carried out many Environmental, Energy, GHG assessments, in various sectors like renewable energy, energy efficiency in manufacturing sector as well infrastructure sector & cement in South East Asia & India. 03
