3 About Converting the AF-MASTER Process Converting the AF-MASTER involves each of the following steps, which are elaborated on in the following sections. 1. Determine if PlanetPress is installed on a 32bit or 64bit machine. 2. Open the correct ODBC Administration page. 3. Remove or rename the old FoxPro PlanetPress ODBC connection. 4. Create the new SQL PlanetPress ODBC connection. 5. Edit the four database boxes in the AF-MASTER process. 6. Edit the script box in the AF-MASTER process. 7. Send the configuration to the PlanetPress Workflow. Determine If PlanetPress Is Installed on a 32bit or 64bit Machine 1. Click Start and select Run. 2. Type MSINFO32.exe. 3. Look for the System Type: X86 = 32Bit X64 = 64Bit 3

4 Open the Correct ODBC Administration Page The correct administration page is determined by whether the operating system is 32bit or 64bit: If PlanetPress is installed on a 32Bit Operating System: Click Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Data Sources (ODBC). If PlanetPress is installed on a 64Bit Operating System: Open the 32Bit ODBC Administration page. To do so, click Start, select Run, and type: C:\windows\SysWow64\odbcad32.exe. Click OK. Regardless of the method used, the following window should now be displayed: Remove the Old PlanetPress FoxPro ODBC Connection In the ODBC Data Source Administrator window, click the System DSN Tab and remove the PlanetPress FoxPro Driver connection. 4

5 Create the New PlanetPress SQL ODBC Connection With the same ODBC Administration page still open, complete the following steps: 1. Click Add. 2. Scroll down the list, select the SQL Server data source. 3. Click Finish. 4. On the next page, enter the following information: Name: PlanetPress Description: Used for PlanetPress AF-Master Server: (DDMS Plus Server s IP-Address)\ECI Note: If PlanetPress is installed on the DDMS server, the server field is a period, followed by a slash, and then eci:.\eci 5

6 5. Select the option to allow SQL Server to authenticate the user, and enter the following login information: Login ID: PlanetPress Password: PlanetPre$$ 6. When finished, click Next. 6.1 On the next page, click Next 6.2 Click Finish. 6.3 Click Test Data Source. 6

7 6.4 When the message shown below opens, click OK. 6.5 When the ODBC Microsoft SQL Server Setup dialog box opens, click OK: 7

8 Edit the Four Database Boxes in the AF-MASTER Process There are four database boxes that look like the figure below. You must open the properties of each one and edit them, one at a time. There are three steps to this procedure. 1. Remove the old ODBC connection. 1.1 Double-click the database box to open it. 1.2 Click the Dynamic SQL tab. 1.3 Click the Connect to ODBC Data Source button, shown below. 1.4 Click Cancel. 8

Add the new SQL ODBC connection. 2.1 With the same window open, click on the Connect to ODBC Data Source button again. 2.2 Then click he Machine Data Source tab. 2.3 Then highlight the new PlanetPress SQL ODBC connection, and click OK. 2.4 The next window may ask you for the password to access SQL, if so just re-enter the password (PlanetPre$$). 3. Edit the SQL statement. 3.1 Change the SQL Statement field to look like the screen shots on the following pages. 3.2 Change the work unit where you see W1 to the work unit found in the text-based (L0) screen on the dealer s DDMS server. 3.3 You must complete all three steps for each database box. 9

12 Edit the Script Box in the AF-MASTER Process To edit the script box in the AF-MASTER process, follow the steps below. 1. Double-click the Run script box. Converting the AF-MASTER 2. Locate the Do While Not section. 3. Change data1 to DATA1. See the figure below. 4. Click OK. Send the Configuration to the PlanetPress Workflow These steps make the changes live and active. 1.
