3 CleanSky 2 Large Passenger Aircraft - IADP Introducing remarks The presentation content is primarily made based on the CleanSky 2 Programe Outline Assumptions of the program is operational runtime with 1.8B /3.6B total volume, assignment of shares to be finalized. Purpose of the presentation is to Explain targeted area of high TRL (i.e. TRL6) R&T with clear focus on validation of technologies relevant for next generation large passenger aircraft by means of large integrated demonstrations Trigger and identify interest of small, medium and large industries and RE s for a substantial collaborative engagement in the LPA - IADP Identify new, additional innovations that could bring added value in the sense of Horizon 2020 targets, but also in anabling technologies, capabilities and tools. 3 3

5 CleanSky 2 Large Passenger Aircraft - IADP Airbus ambition for the LPA-IADP Provides unique contribution to validate key technologies for next generation aircraft to achieve TRL6 Focuss on well selected set of large demonstration with technologies at high integration level with a majority of conditions relevant for operation On purpose decision not to go for an X-Plane Better phasing of technologies maturing at different time scales Better efficiency, scale of the test, ground and flight testing selected exactly on purpose Provides much better flexibility to cooperate with core partners and partners Provides better flexibility to tailor interfaces with Airframe-ITD and System & Equipment ITD 5 5
