New color thumbnails make the navigation from one document to another very easy. ACTIONS 2 action buttons allow to acquire or open a document and to launch the recognition once the settings are done. SETTINGS 1. With the setting bar, you can choose to scan a paper document or to open a PDF or an image file. This choice automatically displays the Acquire or Open button in the action bar. 2. You can convert the document in text or save it as a simple image 3. Make some functions automatic to improve the OCR: image rotation, deskewing, despeckling, etc. 4. Indicate the language of the document 5. Enable or disable the interactive learning to increase the OCR quality. 6. Define the output format. NAVIGATION A thumbnail bar displays small color reproductions of the documents for an easy navigation WORK ON THE IMAGE Readiris Pro 9 automatically marks the text, table and graphic zones with color frames. But if needed, you can make your own page analysis and select the information you want to recognize, draw the different zone types or sort them in a specific order with the smart buttons of the top bar. New OCR engine and new Autoformat Technology for an optimized accuracy and speed and document formatting Based on a new OCR engine and a new Autoformat technology, Readiris Pro 9 retypes the text faster and more accurately than the previous version. The layout of the original document is perfectly preserved; text, tables and graphics are correctly placed in the output files.

4 Powerful table recognition technology IMPROVED! Readiris Pro 9 automatically identifies tables and marks them as table zone. Once the recognition is done, it perfectly reproduces them in the output file allowing the user to transform paper invoices, price lists, listings and any document containing tables in digital information. Automatic function button NEW! In the setting bar, a new button allows to systematically enable some functions. The page analysis (detection of text, table and graphic zones), the page deskewing (when a document is scanned in a distorted way), the page despeckling (when it s necessary to remove pixels that could disturb the recognition), and the page orientation. All these actions can be done automatically just after the scanning to increase the user s productivity. PDF input NEW! Readiris Pro 9 can open a large number of image files amongst which PDF files. Even read-only PDFs can be recognized. Their content is unlocked and edited. The information becomes available, ready to be used. Flowing Text mode for easy editing NEW! Once the document is recognized and edited, the user can easily modify the text, add or delete words. The layout will be maintained thanks to the Flowing Text mode which makes flow the words from text box to text box. "Ignore Exterior Area" to limit the recognition zone NEW! This new function helps to design a specific recognition zone to recognize only the relevant information. Readiris Pro 9 will automatically analyze the image inside the zone and will ignore the information located outside the zone. Top Recognition Accuracy in 104 languages IMPROVED Readiris Pro 9 recognizes up to 104 different languages based on 3 alphabets (Latin, Greek and Cyrillic), including the Western-European, Eastern-European, Baltic and Cyrillic ( Russian ) languages, Greek and Turkish. The user interface and the manual are localized in six languages: English, French, Dutch, German, Italian and Spanish. Unique Asian languages Recognition IMPROVED An Asian OCR add-on is available for the recognition of Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Fully searchable PDF files or HTML WYSIWIG documents can be generated in all these 4 Asian languages. Pages with mixed Asian and English text can also be recognized. Wide variety of outputs NEW! Additional new features: Recognition of business cards IMPROVED Readiris Pro 9 Corporate Edition transforms paper business cards into electronic contacts and allows businessmen to keep up-to-date their electronic address book.
