3 Molecular Biology Contract ID: RE Start Date: 01 July 2016 End Date: 01 July 2018 (UK SBS have an option to extend for a further 2 years) 01 Introduction to the Molecular Biology agreement This agreement covers the supply of Molecular Biology products to the research community Research Councils and Institutes, UK Universities and Other Public Bodies (see section 4 for full list of eligible bodies). Competitive pricing and a comprehensive service is offered to UK SBS customers through collaborative spend and a third party provision service (3PP). 3 P age

Background to the agreement The previous Molecular Biology framework expired on 30 June During the final year of this agreement, a working group agreed a new strategy for the provision of molecular biology products under 4 lots. Suppliers were invited to propose their catalogue of products for each lot and contracts were placed accordingly. 3. Benefits UK SBS worked with key stakeholders to deliver an agreement that provides a responsive, high quality service and easy access to the product ranges needed within the research sector. Who can use this agreement? Core Customers: Associated Bodies This agreement is available to our core customers: Associated Bodies, other organisations, UK universities, Government departments and Non-Departmental Public Bodies. 5 5. How to access this agreement Research Council customers Research Council customers can access the goods covered by this agreement via the Science Warehouse portal. You will find the awarded suppliers (see section 1) listed in the supplier search. Other UK SBS managed service customers UK SBS customers without access to Science Warehouse can raise a non-catalogue requisition in iprocurement or contact the Scientific Research team for support with buying goods through this agreement. Non-managed service public sector organisations UK SBS Scientific Research team will work with your organisation and the supply chain to facilitate access to this agreement.
