3 Communication the process of sharing information by using symbols to send and receive messages (Communication.)

12 Reflection (15 min) Think about a time when you were misunderstood. Describe the receiver, your message, how you delivered it (verbal and nonverbal symbols, channels), and how it was misinterpreted by the receiver (feedback).

13 Homework Pay attention to a misunderstanding that you are a part of or witness between now and next class. In your communication journal, write a one-page entry describing what happened, why you think the misunderstanding occurred, and how you handled it.
