20 Website Glossary Database - a listing of information with columns and rows - like a spreadsheet; required fields include Last Name, First Name, and Address (primary) Directory Information Form - created to collect demographic information for each household to populate the database used for the On-Line Directory and the printed directory Do Not Reply Address - You will receive s from the website, however do not reply to the address JapaneseGardensHoa@wildapricot.org; reply to the sender's usually directory.jg@gmail.com. Address - each Member must have an address; it is a required component of the database; database communication is sent to only this one. Blast - an is created by an administrator and sent to a large group of Members at the same time. Field - a segment of the database that contains information. ISP - Internet Service Provider, the company that provides your internet service, usually your cable as well. JGHOA - Japanese Gardens of Venice FL website - (the new website). Member - one of 414 properties within Japanese Gardens. Member Household - one of 414 properties within Japanese Gardens; may consist of one, two, or three individuals. MJG - My Japanese Gardens website - (the old website). Page - a screen display on a website. Types include: Log in page, Home page, Primary page, Child page. Privacy Choices - a Member may include demographic information in the profile that they choose not to be published. Profile - demographic information about the Member person(s) that has many fields. Spam Folder - an alternate folder in your receiving system where 'suspect' s may be filtered to by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) when they think an may be Spam. Suspect - some sending addresses are filtered because they aren't a typical Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Verizon, Hotmail, etc. (make sure that you add JapaneseGardensHoa@wildapricot.org as a Receiving Only Contact in your Address Book to avoid this happening.) Basic Steps to Create a Facebook Account - a PDF created to assist those who are not yet Facebook users Closed Group - anyone can search for the group using the Facebook search window. Anyone can see who is a member. Only members can see posts. Membership requires approval of an administrator. Facebook JGF Description - Many owners of Japanese Gardens Home Owners Association have found Zen here in Venice, Florida. However, our closed Facebook group does not promote Japanese-style gardening and is only open to owners and friends of our development. You may wish to look elsewhere for gardening advice. Group Functionality - posts and comment by members, each can see who has viewed a post, attach files (documents) as well as photographs, and create events. Japanese Gardens Friends (JGF) - a Facebook Closed Group Page composed of 'owners, former owners, renters, and employees' Japanese Gardens Friends Group Facebook Page - a PDF created to assist those who are not familiar with Group Pages Methods to be admitted to the Group Page - Three Routes: 1) A current member of the Group that is already your FB Friend invites you to join by typing your name in the Add People to Group box (as seen below). 2) In the box at the top of the screen search for Japanese Gardens Friends, when the page opens click the Join button. 3) You become Friends with an Administrator then you can be added to the Group.
