3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS Bank Baltikums Bank AS. Client an individual or a legal entity that has a Current Account opened with the Bank and has access to the Internet Bank. Digipass a digital signature calculator. Partner a legal entity that attracts new Clients based on the signed cooperation agreement with the Bank. 1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PARTNER CABINET The Partner Cabinet is a modern, convenient and flexible tool that allows a Partner to work with the Bank in real time using a computer with an internet connection. The Partner Cabinet is available 24/7. The Partner Cabinet allows a Partner to: View information about agreements concluded with the Bank; View the list of attracted Clients specifying the Client account opening date and closing date, if such information is available; View and download the Bank s documents and templates; View and download pricelists for Clients and Partners; Send and receive messages to/from the Bank (with file attachments); Receive various news about the Bank s products, services etc Connection Channel A connection to the Partner Cabinet server is ensured via a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) channel 1. All information between a Partner and the Bank is transmitted in encrypted form using SSL technology. This is an encryption protocol built into nearly every internet browser. The technology relies on a public key method where each connection to the Partner Cabinet is encrypted using a different code Digipass Digipass is used for generating Partner Cabinet access codes. Digipass ensures a very high level of security. It is protected against unauthorised usage and attempts to recover information. Each time a Partner logs into the Partner Cabinet, a new code generated by Digipass is used. The codes are never reused and are unique for each Digipass unit Automatic Connection Timeout If a Partner performs no actions in the Partner Cabinet for 15 minutes, an alert is displayed that 5 minutes remain until the session expires. The Partner may terminate the session by clicking the End session button or continue working with the Partner Cabinet by clicking Continue. If the Partner performs neither action, the alert dialog remains active and the session is terminated automatically after 5 minutes. The automatic disconnection will prevent third parties from accessing Partner s information in the Partner Cabinet. 1 A public RSA (2048-bit) key is used. To authenticate connections, the Bank uses digital signature certificates from the recognised certificate authority DigiCert (www. digicert.com). Page 3 of 11
