2 It is recommended to enter the internal reference number of your company first. This could be a works order- or project number or something similar. Please enter this information without spaces. But you may of course use special characters. The portal immediately starts validating whether already a requests with this reference has been registered or not. This may avoid double registration of requests. You may either access the existing order or you may of course also register a new request with the same reference. 19
3 Selection of Service Please select the service that you would like to order from DNV GL. The request has already gotten a DNV GL reference number (Axxxxxxx), connected to your own reference. You will now find the request in Draft Orders, where you may search on your own reference number. 20
4 Selection of Service After entering a few mandatory data you may always send the request to DNV GL.: You will then get a summary of the registered data. By sending the request you confirm that your product is completely free of asbestos. In the field Additional Remarks you may provide other information that are important for handling the request, e.g. that another company shall receive the deliverable and / or invoice. 21
5 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products Please start with complete registration of all order data. Your reference is already shown. In case that the product certification is based on an MSA (Manufacturing Survey Arrangement), please select the relevant agreement. By selecting the agreement you confirm that all testing and inspection has been done as agreed in the MSA. You may also register the information about the purchaser, which will be shown in our deliverables. The purchaser is the company, that has ordered the product from your company. 22
6 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products The next step is registering the product(s) that shall be certified or verified by DNV GL. If not otherwise agreed with your local DNV GL Station we kindly ask you to register only one Product per order. Note: With Product we define a batch of fully identical materials or components. As an example you may of course register 3 pumps with type designation ABC1000 as one Product. In case of doubt, please ask your local DNV GL Station for support. 23
7 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products The portal will ask you to search for a product (that has been registered for previous orders). This will enable you to re-use the data that have been registered last time. You may search on several criteria, but the best would be searching by product type designation. In case that you do not find the product, please continue with Register a new product. 24
8 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products Please enter the product information. Clicking the info-icon provides you with a short description, which information we expect. Depending on the information, that you have received from your purchaser, please select what the product is intended for. In case of known yard and hull number you will then get the information which DNV GL Rule set is applicable for the vessel. In most of the cases you may select the DNVGL Rules for Classification Ships. The products will with a few exceptions be accepted on all vessels, classed acc. to DNV- or GL-Rules. If the product is not intended for a vessel, you may also as free text specify any other Standard or specification. 25
9 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products Select the quantity of products. If quantity is >1, you may define to get separate deliverables for each product. If your company has reserved certificate numbers, you may now select one of them. By typing N in the field you get the list of available certificate numbers for selecting one of them. You may also register serial numbers. You may document, where you product has been marked with our certificate number. For supplementary information, that you would like to get on our deliverables, you may use the free text field. Depending on the selected product you may now register pre-defined product parameters. Here you may modify the parameter name and the unit. 26
10 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products Last but not least you may register product related inspections or tests and the expected duration. You may add such tests to your list of pre-defined tests for re-using the information next time. Note: If you invite us for a visit, you need to register any inspection or test before. Finally press the OK button 27
11 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products You have now the possibility to invite DNV GL for a visit. This can even be done without registering a product in order to reserve a time window. The order and product details need then to be registered at a later stage. Please enter the time window and select the surveys to be executed during the visit. Additional manufacturing information valuable for attending surveyor can be entered in the 'Information to the surveyor' field. As an example visit or manufacturing address (if different from ordinary company address), visit contact person or any other similar information. Note: Visits are always related to the registered products and associated surveys. Please upload relevant supporting documents under 'Attachements'. Note: Please do not attach documents subject to approval. For this purpose please use the Upload technical documents function of MyDNVGL.com. 28
12 Selection of Service Certification / Verification of Products If you send a request that is based on an MSA and you have not defined a visit, you get two options: - You may either select that you will register the visit at a later stage or - In case that the MSA does not require any visist for the product, you may select No visit is required by DNV GL. Such orders will then handled by us acc. to other routines. 29
13 Selection of Service TA/TE Here you may request Type Approvals or Type Examinations. First of all please register the scope (e.g. initial TA of acc. to DNV GL Rules or renewal of TA- Certificate XYZ). Then please download the relevant Application Form and fill in the requested information. Finally please upload the signed and scanned Application Form as attachment. Note: Please do not use the Upload attachment for drawings and calculations etc. For this purpose please use the Upload technical documents function of MyDNVGL.com. Inspections, tests and visits can be registered as described for Certification / Verification of products. (see slides 19 and 20) 30

15 Selection of Service MED Here you may register requests for MED Certification of relevant products. The functionalities are similar to TA / TE as described on slide 22. In addition you shall select the responsible Notified Body and the MED-Module. 32

Please do also select the relevant Class Programme for the service that shall be scope of the approval. Here we normally have no Application Form available.
