3 You are a zimhosts.com/ etext BulkSMS Reseller who has bought the Reseller Portal. A BulkSMS Reseller Portal has been setup for you on your chosen domain and under the folder../bulksms You have bought the minimum BulkSMS quantity of 2000 SM You have supplied your logo/ header to be used on your reseller portal website

5 We supply you with a default design which you can customise by editing/ changing any of the following: Logo Moto/ Slogan/ Mission Statement Menu names and even increase them Flashing images on the front Welcome content on front page All other content including Pricing page, About us, How it works, Terms & conditions and add many more pages etc. See the diagram overleaf:

7 Login with your reseller mobile number starting 263 and the password given to you If your reseller mobile is wrong please contact us to change it for you:

8 Once logged in, a user/ client menu will appear on the left Click on edit client details and check if your details are correct particularly the Make sure to change your password to a private and secure one Then click on Update

9 You need to set your senderid which is the number/name that reflects on the recipient s phone when you send a message. By default, your number must be first confirmed as your first senderid before you can create any new senderids

10 After creating the default senderid, you can click on New SenderID again in order to keep creating more senderids (max 11 chars) Always give a justification reason for each senderid you create to avoid creating unauthorised senderids like Mugabe, CID, Newstart etc

11 You can view your senderids by clicking on My SenderIDs. This will show you all your created senderids NOTE: You cannot delete senderids as we need them for investigation purposes if a malicious message was reportedly sent from it

12 Clicking on My Account/ Balance will show you all your information including name, total SMS bought so far, used & remaining SMS, your senderids, max senderids you can create and your account start & expiration date

13 You can avoid retyping your common messages by storing them as templates You can create unlimited templates and name them appropriately

14 SMS Templates shows all your created SMS templates You can edit or delete an entry

15 To send SMS, click on Send SMS To send a msg to 1 number at a time choose the input box (see next page for more) To send to more than 1 number (eg ), save numbers in a CSV/textfile and choose the Upload file option (Might not work with Internet Explorer browser) (see next pages)

16 The recipient number must be 12 digits long starting 2637 only Choose the senderid from the ones you created. This is what reflects on the recipients screen as from Optionally select a msg template then type your msg before clicking on send

17 Select a senderid eg zimhosts in our case Select a msg template eg Domain registrations which will prepopulate the msg box Msg template is optional so you can manually compose the custom msg in the message box Max msg length is 160 chars

18 To send Bulk SMS eg 10,000 in one go, save them in a textfile (notepad). Depending on your internet speed, its best to do it in small batches like 200 or 500 to avoid internet timeouts. Click upload and locate the textfile with the numbers then choose the senderid (& optional sms template) and click on send

19 Delivery Report or Sent History shows all your sent & failed msgs as shown above. 0- failed and 1- sent You can click on view to see the full history details

20 This shows the full detail of your sent/ failed msgs. Also includes the technical response and ID of the msg You can also resend or forward the message to the same or different number respectively

21 Personalised SMS allows sending multiple msgs with variables that get replaced with the receipient's details like name, amount owed, due date etc when sending. Can be used by banks, Retail etc. Any variables/ values can be used to suit your model

22 The personalised sms uses an excel sheet. Numbers, names, amount & any variables of your choice are stored as above NOTE: The above excel sheet has been coloured to better illustrate otherwsie no need to colour the cells The msg contains variable place holders as seen above. These get replaced in accordance with the column name being referenced eg #3 is column 3 which name

23 The above shows the result of a sent personalised SMS. (The history can be accessed from the delivery report/ sent history page. The above is for illustration purposes only) As you can see, all variables have now been replaced with the values in each row

24 When a client manually buys credit from you at your set price using bank transfer, cash payment or whatever means not involving online debit/credit card/ paypal payment, you can transfer the purchased SMS using the above NOTE: Online payments automatically transfer the SMS

25 You can add contacts into your address book so that you do not have to type the contacts numbers everytime you are sending SMS. Make sure to start the phone numbers with 2637xxx with no leading + or 00

26 My Address Book lets you view all your saved contacts. You can delete a contact by checking the adjacent box then delete You can edit a contact by clicking directly on its name

27 You can have your clients buy SMS from you at your set price as long as they have a debit or credit card or a paypal or google account. Online purchases automatically top up the clients account NOTE: You can still accept cash payments, bank transfer or SMS payments through netone, econet or telecel.

28 My invoices lets you view invoices that have been paid by online payment ONLY The page shows you the package you bought, purchased SMS, at what price, date purchased, senderids purchased and whether its active or not.

29 BulkSMS Backend The next section covers the backend of the website which allows you to edit the general articles for teh website, managing your bulksms users, activating/ deactivating your users senderids etc

30 From the user name, click on Website Admin Panel. You will be presented with a login screen Use the same logins used for the front end of the website to login

31 The same backend website login panel can also be accessed by typing the following in the browser:.../bulksms/administrator/ If you have forgotten your logins, you can reset them by clicking on the forgot login link from the front end login page On successful login you will be presentated with the following page (see overleaf):

32 This guide will only cover BulkSMS related sections. For other sections, refer to the general user manual for managing $30 websites You can also access the shown sections by using the top drop down menu above Click on zimhosts.com BulkSMS cpanel

33 The BulkSMS cpanel in the backend has several features that you can edit Only you the administrator can see this backend section We will look at each and everyone one of these in detail starting with your clients SMS Account

34 This shows all your clients together with how many SMS they ve bought so far in total, how many used and remaining You can also see the start and expiry date for each account

35 This shows all the senderids your clients have created eg etext Admin, zimhosts, etc You can activate or deactivate any senderid. Click the green tick to deactivate (this will change the tick to a red cross) Clicking the red cross will reverse the action & change to a tick

36 This shows all the msgs sent by your clients including the recipient no, senderid, time & date sent & whether it was a success or not NOTE: For data protection, you cannot actually view the msgs sent by your users

37 This shows all the SMS Templates created by your clients You can manage them by editing, publishing, unpublishing or deleting them or even create a new one for a client or your self

38 You can create SMS Packages to sell to clients particularly those buying online using a credit/ debit card or even google or paypal account You can create each package with different features like SMS expiration, number of senderids, amount of SMS etc

39 This only applies to clients who have bought SMS online using a credit/ debit card or paypal or google checkout Normal payments like cash, bank transfer or mobile payment (eg ecocash)will not show here

40 This page shows you all the transaction history of SMS you transferred across to your clients after they made a purchase. It also shows transfers made between the clients themselves

41 You can edit existing details for registered client by going to Edit Client Details The same page can be accessed from under the menu link: BulkSMS Other icons shown on this page are covered in the manual for our $30 dollar websites
