1 Supplier Rating System Training Guide 1

2 SRS is a tool that allows Beechcraft (BC) and BC Suppliers to easily access the Quality and Delivery performance data of our Supply base and drives continuous improvement. Benefits of SRS Consistent methodology for measuring Supplier s performance Simplified calculation allows focus on improvements Standardized scorecard across diverse Supply Chain Integrates supplier performance data from various systems Features of SRS Web-based tool Information can be presented in Report or Spreadsheet form No manual updates as everything is updated in BC s System 2

3 The SRS road map to excellence categorizes supplier performance into 3 levels: Supplier Performance Level Supplier Rating Level Satisfactory >90% Marginal 80% to 90% Unacceptable < 80 3

4 BC SRS Performance Score Major Criteria (40%) Delivery Major Criteria (60%) Quality Delivery Status Parameters (in Manufacturing Days) Lot Rating Early Delivery >7 0% On Time Delivery 7 days early, 0 days late 100% Late Delivery >0 0% Parameters Method Quality Performance Score Acceptance Score PI Score SCAR Score Acceptance Score 1 - (PPM / 1,000,000) Parts per Million (PPM) (Qty of parts Rejected/Qty of Parts Received) x 1,000,000 PI Score Number of Product Impacts (PI) x 5% for 1 year SCAR Score Number of Delinquent Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) x 5% for 1 year All Suppliers will be quantitatively assessed on Quality and Delivery performance 4

5 Access To access the Supplier Rating System Tool, start with our website: Click on Sign In 5

6 Reports Once logged in, click on your page to view the Supplier Rating Tool Reports Available: Quality Detail CSV = Quality Detail Information Delivery Detail CSV = Delivery Detail Information View Report = PDF Version of Data To view report, select Month/Year from drop down 6

7 Monthly Report Ratings for the specified supplier will be displayed Summarized performance ratings for current month, 3 & 12 month Receiving information for current month Delivery and Quality parameters for performance rating calculation Performance rating definition 7

9 Data - Quality Only Supplier Responsible tags affect SRS Date tag was written Notification can be reviewed on the Quality Notification web page: ation/default.aspx Date tag was closed and monthly score is affected Codes Quality Notification types Z2 Production Non-Conformance (PPM) W1 Warranty Non-Conformance (PPM) Z4 Part SCAR (5 pts each) Z6 Audit SCAR (5 pts each) PI Product Impacts (5pts each) Fail Types (Failure Types) FLF Floor Failure IIF Incoming Inspection Failure SIF Source Inspection Failure Quality information on each BC non-conformance 9

10 Data Delivery Rating is based on GR date vs. PO Contract date PO types that are excluded from the SRS selection: IC, UB, RO, VWTY, FO Data is ran the first of each month for 2 months preceding the current month. Two months preceding is the final run and one month preceding is the first run The Supplier has 15 calendar days to dispute a Delivery or Quality Score for the one month preceding The Buyer and QA then have 15 calendar days to fix any disputed rating (by changing the contract date on the PO or the Supplier Quality Engineer backing out the QA dispute) before the next run on the first of the next month Example: February 1 SRS data was ran. December 2012 was ran again for the final time to pick up any corrections made by the Buyers or by QA. January was ran for the first time and the Suppliers have until February 15 to submit changes to their respective Buyers and the Buyers have until the end of February to get the data corrected in the system before the final run on March 1. 10

11 Web Setup Instructions The following slides will guide you through the User Setup to the BC web site and SRS access. It is separated into two sections: SECTION 1: BC Web Site, New Users Setup Instructions SECTION 2: Requesting Access to SRS 11

12 New User Setup SECTION 1 BC Web Site New Users Setup Instructions Supplier Rating System Existing users, please refer to Section 2 to Request Access to SRS 12

13 New User Setup For new users, select Create Account to create user name and password: 13

15 New User Setup Remember username & password and answer to the Security Question. You will need it once access is granted. Select Supplier Rating System Please insert your Supplier ID here. 15

16 New User Setup After you have selected the features, click the Sign-Up button. An automated will be sent for approval for set up. 16

17 New User Setup Not Required for SRS Can be selected for Field Service information by Model You must now WAIT until you can log onto the system. This may take up to 24 hours (one business day). You will be notified via when this is complete. 17

18 Login Once access has been granted via , you may now sign on using the user name and password that was created. 18

19 Login If you have forgotten your password click on Forgot Password? 19

20 Login Enter Username or address and click the Submit button 20

21 Restore Password Answer your security question and click submit. The password will be sent via . 21

23 Requesting Access For current users (with valid user name and password) who need access to the SRS tool, sign on and click on your page 23

24 Requesting Access Select Request Access under Supplier Rating System 24

25 Requesting Access Enter in Supplier ID, check box accordingly and click Submit. Access will be granted via You must now WAIT until you have received an for approval to access the Supplier Rating System. This may take up to 24 hours (one business day). 25
