1 27 January 2016 Entries are open for the 2016 Orange Colour City Running Festival and we would like to invite your Business Team to enter a team in the John Davis Motors Business Challenge. The Orange Colour City Running Festival is an annual event coordinated to promote health and fitness and raise money to donate to local charities. The John Davis Motors Business Challenge is a great opportunity for team building, community involvement and encouraging physical activity. The registration process for 2016 has been streamlined making it even easier for your Business Team to enter. Information about the John Davis Motors Business Challenge: Teams require a minimum of 2 entrants. Teams competing in the John Davis Motors Business Challenge run (or walk) must register in the Hotel Canobolas 5 km event held on Sunday 28 February 2016 starting at 10:30am (recommended arrival time is before 9:45). The prize pool for the OCCRF Challenge s includes an Electrolux fridge, and vouchers to Australian Native Landscapes, Mitre 10, Flip Out and Huntly Berry Farm. The start and finish is located at the Bloomfield Leisure Centre, Forest Road, Orange. Bib collection is preferred on Saturday the 27 February 2016 from 11:00am 3:00pm from Bloomfield Leisure Centre or from 6:30am on race day. The second step is to decide upon a team name. Please note duplicate team names are not allowed, the system will search the database and advise accordingly, so keep your name unique Note: Team Information sheet is located at the end of the document, for collection of names and addresses so the dedicated team registration link can be ed out to all members from the Captain. Not all members are required to be known at this point, participants can join a team right up until registrations close. The team captain does NOT have to be a participant if the captain is not running, they will not be required to enter personal information nor receive the screen for payment. 7 Registration Waiver Entry fees are non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers. Entry fees are fully refundable for withdrawals prior to 31 January 2016; for withdrawals between 1 February 2016 and 14 February 2016, an administration charge equal to 25% of the entry fee will be applied; no refund will be given for withdrawals after 14 February No refunds will be provided for merchandise purchases. I acknowledge that running and walking involves the real risk of injury or death from various causes, which may include but are not limited to: overexertion; dehydration; heart problems; disorientation; accidents with other competitors, spectators, volunteers or road users; equipment failure; unforeseen events; the course; or the weather conditions. I understand that I should not compete in this event unless I have trained appropriately and a medical practitioner has verified my physical condition. By competing, I accept all risks necessarily flowing from my participation that could result in injury or death. Accordingly, I release all people associated with the conduct of the event from, and will indemnify them against, all liability (including liability for their negligence) for any and all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this event. For clarification, the people released include event organisers, sponsors, managers, government and public authorities, contractors, volunteers, and event medical and paramedical personnel. This release and indemnity is perpetual and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assigns. I consent to receiving any medical treatment that event organisers or medical or paramedical personnel believe is necessary for my health, before, during, or after the event. I understand that the event organiser does not provide health insurance for me, and I will bear all financial responsibility for all and any medical treatment arising from my participation in this event; including but not limited to ambulance, doctor, and hospital fees. I understand that I should have my own personal accident and ambulance cover. I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at the event. I agree to abide by all race rules and directions issued by the event organiser. By entering this event, you consent to your personal information being provided to Athletics Australia Ltd and Athletics NSW Ltd for the purpose of registering you as a recreational running class of member of Athletics NSW Ltd and for administering the Running Australia program. You further consent to receiving information (including via ) about the Running Australia program including details of other events and special offers or promotions. If you DO NOT consent to your personal information being disclosed and used or receiving information about the Running Australia program please contact the Orange Colour City Running Festival Committee. Entry information is to be collected into a database which is and shall remain the property of Orange Colour City Running Festival. The database will be used in the management of the race and for the purpose of the Orange Colour City Running Festival. The database will be managed by the Orange Colour City Running Festival. I acknowledge that the information given on this form or otherwise provided by me (or my parent/s or guardian/s) to the Orange Colour City Running Festival is true and correct. 8 Each competitor will run on the approved course as directed and will not accept outside assistance. All participants must wear the assigned numbered timing transponder correctly as per the instructions provided. The use of any other participant's timing transponder is strictly prohibited as this would compromise the results and could lead to the disqualification of the participant and/or entire team (where applicable). The organisers reserve the right to delay, alter, or cancel any race in the event of dangerous weather conditions. The organisers cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen valuables. The organisers reserve the right to make additions, changes, or clarifications of these terms and conditions without prior notice to participants. The organisers will endeavour to advise participants of any rule change prior to the race, but any such change shall be considered effective for all participants whether or not the participant has received notice of the change prior to the race. All decisions of the Festival Coordinator (or delegate) are final. The Festival Coordinator (or delegate) is the sole judge of fact; there is no right of appeal regarding any decision made by the race director. The Festival Coordinator (or delegate) reserves the right to reject or disqualify any participant whose conduct is inappropriate to the spirit of the race. Individual disqualifications may lead to the entire team (if applicable) being disqualified. It is expected each participant competes in the appropriate spirit. I have read the Terms and Conditions and the rules applicable to the race that I have entered on the OCCRF website and agree to comply with them. 11 John Davis Motors Business Challenge Rules 1. All team members must be employed by the named business. 2. The business can enter as many teams as they like. 3. The team should consist of a minimum of 2 members. 4. The accumulated time of the first 2 team members to cross the finish line will be the measured time for the challenge. 5. The team with the lowest accumulate total time will be determined the winner. 6. It is encouraged that each team wear a similar outfit for easy identification. 7. There is no additional cost for team entry. 8. All teams must assemble in a nominated area. 9. The prize for the winning Business Team includes a local Produce Hamper. 10. It is the responsibility of team members to register as individuals online through All team members must enter the Hotel Canobolas 5km event.
