2 Transitioning to Canvas Transition Information The Center for Services Leadership partners with the ASU Continuing and Professional Education unit (CPE) to offer our online courses. CPE recently transitioned to a new Learning Management System called Canvas. Blackboard and the MyCE web portal are being retired and will no longer be in use for this program. Instead, students will begin using Canvas for their 2018 Honeywell Program courses. Registration The process of registering for courses will remain the same. Courses can be selected on the Honeywell Program web page:

3 Registration Once on the Honeywell Program web page: - Select the dates you wish to schedule your courses, click the Register Now button, and complete the registration form for that course. Repeat above steps to register for other program courses.

4 Course Enrollment Enrollment into the courses is completed by CSL and CPE staff a few days prior to the date the course is set to begin. Students will receive an invitation to join the course:

5 Course Enrollment Clicking the blue Get Started button in the invitation launches the course.

7 Account Set Up First Time Account Set Up: After clicking Accept, you will be prompted to set up an account in Canvas Click Create My Account

9 Account Set Up After clicking Register, you will be automatically redirected to the course Home page. If the course is open, you can begin reviewing the course materials; otherwise you will see a notification that the course is not available yet.

10 Account Login Returning Users: Courses can be accessed two ways Clicking the Get Started link in the invitation This will bring you directly to the log in screen to enter your credentials. After successfully logging in, the course Home page will open

11 Account Login Courses can also be accessed by clicking the Login link on the CPE / CSL Honeywell page:

12 Account Login This will bring you to the log in screen to enter your credentials

13 Student Dashboard After successfully logging in, the Student Dashboard will open Courses you are enrolled in will be displayed here Click Go To Course to open the course Home page

14 Course Home Page After clicking Go To Course, the course Home page will open If the course is open, you can begin reviewing the course materials; otherwise you will see a notification that the course is not available yet.

How do I sign up for a Canvas account as a parent? Parents (Observers) can link their Canvas account to their student's account so they can see assignment dues dates, announcements, and other course content.
