3 What you will need QTAC Guide p 8/9 (prepare your preferences GO/HOD SS appointment) $42 Credit card; B-Pay 3 Aug Feb 18 (from 19 Feb 2018 $71 as you are considered non-yr12) LUI number (Learner Unique Identifier) on front of your QTAC Guide. Must create an online account prior to appointment address (record)- will send an asking you to validate your account security questions DO NOT USE EQ ADDRESS Enter a mobile number

6 Preference Ordering (major offer rounds all the same) Preferences 1 and 2 Desired courses (what you really want) Preferences 3 and 4 Back-up less competitive, should provide upgrading pathways or alternative courses Preferences 5 and 6 Pathway courses Diploma/Uni, Diploma courses you are prepared to do and help upgrade later.

13 Create your account To create your account: enter your address (one you ll have access to after school finishes), and create your password

17 Create your account Enter your residential address and select whether your postal address is the same continue

We recommend you do, especially if you may not have internet access for a while, or will be otherwise uncontactable You and your parents (or other authorised person) will both find it much easier if they can speak to us about your application when you want them to

36 Apply Now Section 2 - Your Year 12 and any other qualifications Yes will already be selected here, as you ve answered this question earlier Fill out the rest of the details. The options you see will depend on the state you are in Enter your Queensland LUI (Learner Unique Identifier) - or equivalent Year 12 number if you re studying a different Year 12 or interstate. You can t apply without it! continue

37 Apply now Your Year 12 details will display here again + the name of your school If any details are wrong tell your Guidance officer asap or contact QTAC on ! If you ve studied Year 12 previously interstate, overseas, or repeat, or Year 11 in one state and Year 12 in another, for example, tell us about it here

38 Apply now If the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) tells us you ve got other studies or certificates etc you ll see them already in your application, like this If any details are wrong tell your Guidance officer asap or contact QTAC on !

39 Apply now If you have no further qualifications to add select no here If you do have other qualifications, select yes and you ll be asked to enter the details continue

40 Apply Now Section 3 - Your preferences Search for the courses you want to apply for here Or enter the QTAC course code here continue

41 Apply Now Your search may bring up several courses, like this Click the add button beside the one you want List up to 6

42 Apply Now This course is now highlighted and listed as your first preference

43 Apply Now Now add your second preference etc Find out how to order your preferences correctly - use these to change preference order x - use this to delete a preference

44 Apply Now Select the next page to find more courses matching your search

45 Apply Now Or, scroll up to go back and search for other courses

46 Apply Now When you re happy with your 6 preferences continue

47 Apply Now You ll get a warning message if your preferences are not in the order of major offer round date You should re-order them as per major offer round date so you don t miss out on an offer unnecessarily continue

48 Apply Now Section 4 - Review your application Check once more that all the preferences and details you have entered are correct If not, change the things you can Tell your Guidance officer or contact QTAC on asap about the things you can t! continue

49 Apply Now Section 5 - Submit your application and pay If your school or institution has given you a voucher, answer yes here You ll be asked for the voucher details If not, you can pay by credit card or BPAY If you select BPAY make sure you make your BPAY payment as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours. QTAC won t start assessing your application until they receive payment. continu e

52 Major Offer rounds Major offer round for lots of courses is 16 January NOTE: if your ideal course is offered in Jan, but a subsequent course selected has the December offer round the subsequent course will never be looked at and it will be a wasted preference so you need to move it up/ then after an offer is made (accept conditionally) shift it and put other courses above it

53 Other Considerations Qualifications and documentation eg Certificates 3 and 4, Diplomas, AMEB/Trinity Grades 7 and 8, University Studies check them, if QTAC hasn t got them ring and send through EAS educational assistance scheme 5 categories if eligible apply you fill out and provide evidence When lodging review and always print copy for self.

54 Other points... Note the SAVE button make all changes then press SAVE each SAVE is a change and so you will start paying after 3!!!
