2 URL To access RTI Application The URL of the RTIMIS software is : rtionline.gov.in/rtimis RTIMIS should be in capital letters.
3 Login Window After providing the username and password in the login screen click on login button.

5 After clicking Dashboard, several alert options with statistical count will be shown on the screen. Total Request Received. Total Request Disposed Of. Total Request Pending. Total Request Pending with CPIO. Total Request Pending with me. Total Request Pending for Initial Action. Total Request Pending for Further Action. Total Appeal Received. Total Appeal Disposed Of. Total Appeal Pending. Total Appeal Pending with FAA. Total Appeal Pending with me( for Initial Action) Total Request/Appeal Pending due to document called.

7 1.Total Request Received This alert option shows the total no. of requests received in the nodal officer s account. 2. Total Request Disposed Of This alert option shows the total no. of requests disposed of from the nodal officer s account. 3. Total Request Pending This alert option shows the total no. of requests pending with CPIO s and Nodal officer. 4.Total Request Pending with CPIO This alert option shows the total no. of requests pending with CPIO s. 5. Total Request Pending with me. This alert option shows the total no. of requests pending in the nodal officer s account.
8 6.Total Request Pending for Initial Action By clicking on the count of alert option, the list of online RTI requests received will be displayed.
9 Now by clicking on the registration no or edit radio button, Update Online Request screen will be displayed.

11 To view the PDF document of the request, uploaded by the citizen, small symbol of PDF could be clicked given in the Request Document field. Nodal Officer has to select the Mode of Action radio button either Physical Forwarding or Online Forwarding. In case of Physical Forwarding, nodal officer has to take print out of the request by clicking on the option Click here to print request and the pdf file given in the Request Document field and to be forwarded to CPIO manually. After selecting Mode of Action,nodal officer has to select option from Choose an Action dropdown field. Following options are given in this field: Forward request to CPIO. Request forward to CPIO and transfer to other Public Authority. Request return to applicant. Supporting document required from applicant. Transfer request to other Public Authority.

13 1 st Option: Forward Request to CPIO By selecting this option all CPIO s name will be displayed.nodal Officer has to select the desired single CPIO name or multiple CPIO s name from the list.
14 2 nd Option : Request Forward to CPIO s and transfer to other Public Authority By selecting this option CPIO list, Public authority list and remarks column will appear. Nodal Officer has to select the desired options from the list and give the remarks.
15 3 rd Option: Request Return to Applicant Request Received online by nodal officer can be returned to applicant, if the request is meant for the public authorities under the state government, including NCT of Delhi. In the remarks column nodal officer can type the communication matter of maximum 500 characters.
16 4 th Option :Supporting Document Required From Applicant If the document attached at the time of filing RTI Request is not accessible. Nodal Officer can ask the applicant to provide a new RTI request document. The same document can be uploaded to process the RTI Request. Nodal Officer also has to give Remarks in the Remarks column.
17 5 th Option: Transfer Request to Other Public Authority By selecting this option, the names of all Public Authorities will be displayed in the dropdown box. Nodal Officer has to select desired single or multiple Public Authority name. After selecting the desired option nodal officer can submit the form.
18 7.Total Request Pending for Further Action. This alert option shows the total no. of requests which are pending for further action. 8.Total Appeal Received This alert option shows the total no. of appeals received in Nodal Officer s account. 9.Total Appeal Disposed of This alert option shows the total no. of appeals disposed of. 10.Total Appeal Pending This alert option shows the total no. of appeals pending with Nodal Officer and Appellate Authority. 11.Total Appeal Pending with FAA This alert option shows the total no. of appeals pending with Appellate Authority.
19 12.Total Appeal Pending with me(for Initial Action) This alert option shows the total no. of appeals pending with Nodal Officer. By clicking on the count of alert option, the list of online Appeals Received will be displayed.
20 By clicking on the desired registration no. Update Online Request screen will be displayed.
21 Now Nodal Officer has to select an option from Select an Option dropdown where following options are given: Forward Appeal to Concerned Appellate Authority. Supporting Document required from Applicant. Appeal return to applicant.
22 1 st Option: Forward Appeal to Appellate Authority. By selecting this option Nodal Officer has to select Mode of Action and the desired Appellate Authority name.
23 2nd Option: Supporting Document required from Applicant If the document attached at the time of filing RTI Appeal is not accessible. Nodal Officer can ask the applicant to provide new document by mentioning it in the Remarks column.
24 3rd Option: Appeal Return to Applicant. If the appeal is not meant for FAA of the concerned Public Authority then it can be returned to the appellant with the communication matter in the Remarks column. Finally after desired selection Submit button has to be clicked.
25 SEARCH On the Search page SEARCH REQUEST/APPEAL screen will be available with various search criteria.
26 Search Criteria: Nodal Officer has to define first search criteria between RTI Request or First Appeal, then can define any of the search criteria: 1. Date Range: From Date & To Date 2. Registration No. 3. Requester s Name /Appellant Name 4. State 5. RTI Request/First Appeal Status RTI Request Status New Request Forwarded to CPIO/Other PA Disposed Off Request Dispatched Request First Appeal Status Pending Closed
27 After filling any of the search criteria, nodal officer can view report and can took print of desired request/appeal.

30 Home On the home page screen several alert options have been given.
31 New Request To answer new request : Go to assessment menu, then click New Request. Or Click on the 6 th alert option on Home Page: New Requests Due for Initial Action.

33 After clicking Registration no. CPIO can see applicant detail.

35 CPIO can click View Request Details to view RTI request details. Here CPIO can print and save request detail as well.
36 Decision CPIO can take any decision using Decision dropdown field.
37 Here various options are given : 1. Under Process Third Party Information Involved. Request Under Process at our Office. Additional Payment required for Information. Supporting Document required from Applicant. 2. Transfer Transfer request to other public authority. Transfer request to other PIO. Forward request to Deemed PIO. Partially transfer request to other public authority. 3. Final Reply Reject RTI Request. Partially Reject/Accept RTI Request. Request Dispose Of.
38 Under Process :Third Party Information Involved If Third Party Information involved then CPIO has to specify Name and address of third party.
39 Under Process : Request under process CPIO can select this option when the request is under process.
40 Under Process : Additional Payment Required By selecting this option, following information has to be filled : Mode of Information Supply, Additional Payment Demanded and Description.
41 Under Process : Supporting Document Required By selecting this option, Remarks field will appear where CPIO can write about document required.
42 Transfer : Transfer Request to other Public Authority If the request is concerned with other Public Authority, then it can be transferred to them by selecting option from Select Public Authority.
43 Transfer : Transfer Request to other PIO By selecting this field CPIO can choose full transfer or part transfer option and then select desired CPIO name.
44 Transfer :Partially transfer request to other Public Authority CPIO can select one of the PA or multiple PA from Select Public Authority and then mention part of the RTI text to be transferred.
45 Final Reply : Reject RTI Request By selecting this File No., Reason therefore, and Upload Reply Document field will appear.
46 Final Reply : Partially Reject/Accept Request By selecting this option File No, Information Supplied, Information Rejected, Reason therefore, Upload Reply Document fields will appear. CPIO can enter reply in Information Supplied field and rejected part in Information Rejected field.
47 Final Reply : Request Dispose Of By selecting this option, the following fields will be appeared as File No.,Type of Disposal, Information provided to citizen, Upload Reply document.
48 CPIO can enter File No in FileNo field. In Type of Disposal, two options are given Full Information Supplied or Part of Information Supplied. The desired option can be selected. And reply document can be uploaded in Upload Reply Document field. The document uploaded should be in the PDF format of size upto 1MB.
49 Lodge Request To register applications which are received physically, click Lodge Request in the Utility tab, then Request Registration Form will appear.

51 The applications which are received physically should be entered into the system within 5 days of receipt of application. After registering the applicant detail,it will appear as a new request and the reply will be given according to the above procedure.
52 Search In the Search tab various Search criteria have been given : 1. Date of Receipt. 2. Registration Number. 3. Name of citizen 4. Subject Content 5. State 6. Request Status New Request Under Process Request Disposed Off Request Dispatched Request After filling search criteria, CPIO can view desired RTI Request.

54 After clicking on Search button, the following screen will appear. Here CPIO can take print of request.

56 Home On the Home Page screen several alert options are given
57 No of Appeal Pending for more than 20 days By clicking on the count of alert option, the list of Records of Appeal Pending for more than 20 days will be displayed.
58 No of appeals received and pending for Initial Action By clicking on the count of alert option, the list of No. of new appeals received and pending for initial action will be displayed.
59 By clicking on the desired Registration no. Assessment of New Appeal screen will be displayed which contains details of appeal.
60 FAA has to select a decision from Please Select a Decision dropdown field where following options are given: Appeal Dispose Of Seek comments from CPIO
61 1 st Option: Appeal Dispose Of By selecting this option Appellate Authority can dispose off the RTI appeal. FAA can write final reply in Appellate Authority s Decision textbox and can also upload document of 1MB.
62 2nd Option: Seek Comments from CPIO The Appellate Authority can use this option for sending information to CPIO.
63 No. of appeals under process By clicking on the count of alert option, Records of Appeal Under Process will be displayed
64 By clicking on the Registration no. following screen will appear
65 Here FAA can give decision by selecting option from Interim/Final Action dropdown. Following Options are given in the list: Appeal Dispose Of. Seek Comments from CPIO.
66 No of Appeals for which comments received from CPIO and awaiting further action. By clicking on the count of alert option, list of appeals for which comment received from CPIO will be shown.
67 SEARCH By clicking Search tab, SEARCH APPEAL screen will be available with various search criteria.
68 Here Search criteria given is: Registration No Name of citizen Part of subject content State Request Status New Appeal Under Process Appeal Disposed Appeal Dispatched Appeal.
69 After filling Search criteria, FAA can view report.
70 After clicking Registration no.,faa can view the action history of appeal.
