2 CLASS DESCRIPTION Whether you are a current Valiani CMC user or simply interested in a Valiani CMC, this course is for you. Join us as we showcase the latest version of the V-Studio software and explore its features including simple to complex specialty cuts, multiple openings, V-grooves, French lines and more. A Valiani MatPro Ultra CMC 150 will be on hand to demonstrate its versatile design cutting as well as the patented Interchangeable Cutting Head system. This course will also include maintenance basic tips for ensuring optimal cutting performance from the nine different cutting heads available for all Valiani CMCs. Please feel free to bring your laptops and a flash drive however there will not be any power outlets available, so make sure you battery is fully charged. A Peek into the Evolution of V-Studio Valiani s V-Studio Software Suite is a result of several factors. Getting Started with V-Studio Minimum PC Requirements - Windows XP SP2 or later - Intel Pentium Dual Core 1.6 Ghz Processor - 2 GB RAM - 2 GB Hard Drive space available - Screen Resolution of 1280 x 768 Recommended PC Requirements - Windows 7 or later - Intel Pentium Core i5 Processor or greater - 4 GB RAM or more - 4 GB Hard Drive space available or more - Screen Resolution of 1680 x 1050 If a new PC is required and the Valiani CMC is communicating with the PC, via a Serial Cable, then a Serial USB Converter will be required. Please order the following AC-CN CONVUSPAN USB CONVERTER. During the install V-Studio will begin to load. There are several steps that will take place before the software is completely installed and ready for use. Note: The Valiani machine must be powered on, the PC fully booted and communicating with the PC. In addition, no other programs should be running. 1. V-Studio installs 2. USB/Serial Driver installs 3. Adobe Reader installs 4. WinRAR self-extracting archive a. Extracts files to c:\valiani\v-stuido 5. Setup user preferences a. Language b. Unit of Measure 6. PLC UPGRADE MANAGER a. This is a required FIRMWARE UPGRADE for all machine not already running V-studio or Future Mat Designer v5.2.5 or newer b. Enter the Machine Serial Number, this is required c. A series of screen will flash and begin installing the firmware i. CAUTION DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS OPERATION ii. When completed follow the instructions on the screen and TURN the MACHINE ELECTRICAL BOX OFF and BACK ON, THEN CLICK FINISH. Page 3 of 6
