1 Using Blender to Produce a Asset - Step 3 Export from Blender and Import into Export Exporting is easy, providing there are no errors in the construction and texturing of your stone wall model. Click on the File Menu, select Export then select Mesh and Animation. Save the file Stonewall05.xml to your Stone_Wall_Project folder. Page 1 of 8.

2 Have a look in your Stone_Wall_Project folder. You should see four new files: Stonewall.im Sonewall.texture.txt Stonewall.log Stonewall.xml Note: If all you see is the file Stonewall.log something has gone wrong. Open the Stonewall.log file and look for error messages. They will give you a clue as to the error(s) that need to be corrected. Open the last copy of your Blender file correct the error(s) and save again. Import We now need to create a new asset in Content Manager and import three of the files (Stonewall.im Texture.texture.txt and Texture.tga). To create a new scenery asset in, open Content Manager, click on the File Menu and select New Asset. In the list that appears select Scenery and press OK then click "New". Page 2 of 8.

3 Under Username type "Stone Wall". Click on the File Menu and select "Save: then close the window. Select the new asset, RMB on it and in the Drop Down Menu select Edit then Edit in Explorer. Page 3 of 8.

4 Reposition the window to the right half of your screen, open your Stone_Wall_Project folder and reposition the window to the left half of your screen. Copy (do not drag) from the Stone Wall Project folder and individually paste into the New Asset folder: Texture.texture.txt Texture.tga Stonewall.im Page 4 of 8.

5 Open the config.txt using notepad. Type in the information outlined in yellow. (The username should already be there. The thumbnail information will not be used at the moment but needs to be adding.) Page 5 of 8.

6 Click on the File Menu, select Save then close the config.txt file window. Select the new asset, RMB) on it, select Edit in the Drop Down Menu then select Commit in the Drop Down Submenu. If there are no errors your Content Manager should look like this: Page 6 of 8.

7 If there are errors (the red exclamation mark showing) reopen your config.txt file and check for error including spelling errors. If you have to make corrections, re-save the file and re-commit. Place the Stone Wall in a route The final step is to open and place the Stone Wall Asset in a route. Open select Routes and then select Create Route. Open the Object Tab, find the Stone Wall asset and place it in the route. Add some grass and people to give the wall some perspective. Page 7 of 8.

8 Open the Texture Tab Search for grass and add grass in the vicinity of the wall. Open the Object Tab and add some people (i.e., Person Western Man 1B, KUID:63290:35008 and Person Western Man 11H, KUID2:63290:35130:1). If the stonewall is visible and looks like the object you created in Blender you have been successful! When I made my first object in Blender, converted it to a assets, and successfully placed in a route I was ecstatic. The rest of using Blender I hope is merely detail. Note: The stone wall created here was created for demonstration purposes and not for uploading to Auran s (N3V) Download Station (DLS).
