3 I. Why unlocking? The unregistered versions of PPMulator+ and PPMulatorXL will behave like the publicly available demo software: they will cease to work after several minutes of use. Then, a restart of the software is necessary. II. Unlocking In order to unlock your software your need to 1. Register your serial number at 2. Enter your registration data (serial and unlock key) in the product The website should look similar to the image below. On the top right corner you find links to either log into an existing account or to create a new account. If you create an account make sure that you can receive s from the zplane domain. This is because you will receive an with an activation link. After the activation of the account, you can proceed with the serial registration. You need to be logged in your account. Click on Register Products to start registration process. Then select the product you would like to register from the dropdown menu Figure 1: Product selection for registration - 3 -

4 After selection of the product, fill in your serial number and press the register button. Click on Register. If the serial number is accepted, the unlock key is provided both by and in the product overview of your account. If you have any problems with registration, you can contact us at the following address: Now, serial number and unlock key must be entered in the software. Please click the small plus icon on the meters to display the settings page, see figure 2. figure 2: normal display. figure 3: GUI menu bar Select the Unlock tab and follow the on-screen instructions. To unlock your copy you need both, the serial number and the unlock key. The unlock window should look like in figure 4. You can input the serial and the unlock key with or without space/hyphens. 6 III. Upgrading PPMulator+ can be upgraded to PPMulatorXL by a special upgrade serial number. The upgrade path in the web interface is a bit different than a normal product registration. This is because the usage of an upgrade key presumes an existing PPMulator+ registration. When you have the option to upgrade you find a special button Upgrade to PPMulatorXL, as you can see in Figure 5. Figure 5: Upgrading First step Once you have clicked on the Button a new input mask appears in which the upgrade key has to be filled in. Click on Upgrade now to execute the upgrading. Figure 6: Upgrading Second step When you made everything correct and the upgrade key is accepted by the system, your old key will be replaced by the new PPMulatorXL serial. Your old PPMulator+ serial will be removed and cannot be used any longer. You should find the new product name with the new serial in your account overview now.
