2 I am a Timekeeper and I just want to get into WebTime and begin Have you ever been in the BusinessPLUS program..if not you must first establish your WebTime password in BusinessPLUS.crazy, I know, but that s how it is! If you have been in the BusinessPLUS program and have already established a password in BusinessPLUS, you may proceed to WebTime. (Be sure and see instructions for the NEW WebTime!) Remember your password for BusinessPLUS is your password for WebTime (In the past your password for Insight was your password for WebTime) 2

3 This summer, Technology Services took us through a conversion of Insight to BusinessPLUS Insight.gone Replaced with BusinessPLUS You will need to set up your login for BusinessPLUS if you haven t already done so. If you do Stores Inventory or Warehouse Ordering, you probably are already set up in BusinessPLUS. Below are the instructions for BusinessPLUS: You are receiving this because you have a user account for the Insight system and security has been set up for you to get into the system. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY! The Insight system has been converted to a new version called BusinessPLUS. After reading this, if you have any problems, send an to ifashelp@spokaneschools.org or call the BusinessPLUS (IFAS) help number at extension 5987 between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. 3

4 1. Insight will not work anymore. Everything that was formerly in Insight is now in a web-based system called BusinessPLUS. 2. To get into BusinessPLUS, go to the Start Button and use pre-made shortcuts for BusinessPLUS. Go to: Start > All Programs > ZenWorks > ZENworks Application Window and launch the ZENworks Window. Inside the ZENworks Window, you ll find an icon titled BusinessPLUS. Just drag the icon to your desktop for permanent access and double click it. The first time you run BusinessPLUS or WebTime from the ZEN icon, it takes a long time... Because it is doing all of its installs and configurations to make it work right. After that, when you double click it, it's very fast, because it's only checking the configuration each time, rather that installing a bunch of software. 4

5 For those of you who do NOT have ZENworks. go into Internet Explorer and use If you had used the "7i" web-based IFAS for warehouse orders in the old system, you should still be able to use your old desktop Icon. normal Insight username bpnew 3. For everyone: Use your 'normal' Insight username. 4. However, your Insight password will NOT work - due to a system difference we had to reset all passwords for active Insight users from the old system. Your Insight password has been changed to bpnew. 5. After you login, you should change your password from bpnew to whatever you want your password to be. (You are encouraged to use lower case letters and numbers in your password) To do this: - after you are logged in, click on Settings then Change Password (upper right hand corner). 5

6 - Type in your old password (bpnew) then your new password, type in the new password again to confirm and then click on OK. bpnew - Log out and back in with your new password to confirm it works. NOTE: Some of the school users have been having problems changing their password. If you get an error message, go ahead and keep the password as bpnew for now, and send an to ifashelp@spokaneschools.org so that we can troubleshoot why the password change isn't working. 6. When you get logged in, it always defaults to the Home tab which looks like: 6

7 You need to click on the All tab to get to the menu options which should look something like: Now you have your password and you are ready to log into WebTime! Oh but there are more instructions, especially for the first time you go into WebTime! Patience is required!!! But if you follow these steps..navigation in WebTime should work nicely! Just remember ZENworks is great!!!! 7

8 The WebTime Program has changed..of course!!!!! First of all let s talk about what versions of what needs to be on your PC Java version 7.55 Browser Internet Explorer (versions 8 and 10 work very well) It is critical that you run WebTime from the icon in the ZENworks Application Window. The first time you run BusinessPLUS or WebTime from the Zen icon, it takes a long time... Because it is doing all of its installs and configurations to make it work right. After that, when you double click it, it's very fast, because it's only checking the configuration each time, rather that installing a bunch of software. The ITSC has designed this shortcut so that when WebTime is launched from here it looks at the computer s Java version and no matter what Java you have, it installs and configures Java 7.55 correctly for WebTime. It checks every time that WebTime is launched from the Zen icon. So, even if a user accidentally gets a Java update... if launched from the application window, the Java will be reset and WebTime will work. 8

9 The ZENworks shortcut also forces WebTime to launch only in Internet Explorer. Even if you have Firefox as your default browser for PowerSchool, Just drag the icon to your desktop for permanent access and double click it. This is great!!!!! I just got ZENworks installed on my PC and I love it!!! Thanks ITSC!!! If you don t have the WebTime Icon in ZENworks or if you don t have ZENworks, contact the Help Desk ( ). 9

10 Before you continue..have you.. Changed your password in BusinessPLUS Do you have ZENworks, if so, use the WebTime Icon in ZENworks Verified (not needed if you have ZENworks) your Java version is 7.55 If you use ZENworks (which ITSC the Help Desk strongly encourages as these Icons are set up with the compatible browsers)..you have an WebTime Icon already created. If you have any questions about ZENworks.please call the Help Desk and it will point you to the 'new' WebTime. If you do NOT have a WebTime Icon in ZENworks Enter the new URL (address) (you can create a Shortcut from here) Click here 10

11 Now log in and enter in your password and get to the screen where you usually put in the timekeeping location, STOP.DON T ENTER YOUR LOCATION NUMBER YET..your curser probably is now a little circle spinning around and around thinking.thinking.then there should be a popup message at that point asking if you want to allow the unsigned application to run. Click on the box that says 'I accept the risk and want to run this app' and then click the Run button (The Run button will be grayed out until you click the I accept field then it will turn black and become an active button.) It should set it up so that all of the navigational parts of WebTime work correctly. At that point you can put in the timekeeping location and continue on. These are no-no buttons. Update will put you on the latest and greatest version of JAVA and we need version 7.55 (It s not the latest and greatest) If you click on Cancel, navigating around WebTime may not work correctly. ** See next page 11

12 Or you might receive this popup message when you log in and get to the screen where you usually put in the timekeeping location, asking if you want to allow the unsigned application to run. If your curser is a little circle spinning around and around thinking.thinking.be patient and let the circle finish and then Click the Run button and allow the unsigned application to run. Again.this is a no no button I am sorry to tell you these popup messages are here to stay! UGH!! It is not a once I click on Run then I won t ever see the message again. You will see this message each time you log into WebTime. (If you don t.you are lucky.but if you are having trouble navigating in WebTime (going from employee to employee, etc) you should log out and log back in and you will probably get the popup message.click Run and your navigation should work better) Be patient going from the Login Screen to the Location Screen and let the little circle do its thing and this should help your WebTime navigation. **(Those are the official instructions while I was working in WebTime, I clicked on I accept, and then clicked on the Run button and then entered the location number and the popup message came up again and I had to click in the I accept and hit the Run button again. I have found it is easier to be patient and let the little circle going around and around finish up and then click in the I accept and then hit the Run button. It may popup a couple of times.but be patient and go through these steps and your navigation in WebTime should work nicely.)** 12

13 For Report of Exceptions (ROE Reports) When you get logged in, it always defaults to the Home tab which looks like: You need to click on the All tab to get to the menu options which should look something like: 13

15 Never use this Always use the User Defined Prompt questions Prompt questions are similar to before: Enter your Batch name (Capital W) If running for all your employees, leave the asterisk in this field o If running on one employee, enter employee ID Click on Submit button or press Enter 15

16 You will see this screen..it shows that the report is running and trying to retrieve the information If you want to stop the report from processing, click on Cancel Your report will pop up. If you get a red security error, please call the Payroll office. Hopefully all is well. 16

17 As you can see there are different options including converting to Adobe To print this report: Click on the grid Then the drop down will give you the option to print: 17
