2 Introduction This software is specially design for home users and business owner which the system s recorder will continually takes screen shots of whatever is on the computer screen. Screen shots can be taken as frequently as once a second. icctv gives you an exact visual details of what your employees or even your children are doing on the computer. 4 Getting Started Download icctv installer from Follow the installationn guide to finish the installation and registration. Restart your computer. Launching icctv After the installation, simply press the hotkey you set before (default to be Ctrl + Alt + Shift + A) to launch iviewer. If icctv is installed in visible mode, you can also launch it from installed programs list. To run iviewer, a password is required. Key in your password, click Ok or press Enter key to confirm. Note:If your hotkey doesn t work, please restart your PC and try again. Settings Wizard If it s the first you re running icctv, the following wizard window will guide you to finish the settings. Select Language and follow the hints to finish your configuration. 1

Note: After you iviewer is logged in, irecorder will suspend this PC s monitoring until iviewer is closed. And the tray icon (if it s showing) will turn into red recording.

Click File->Open to specify your data folder if you have another snapshots data copy. 2

6 Exporting Data Click File->Save As Data export interface Select export file type (Check Compress Video if you want to export the data as compressed video) For Image, you can export to BMP or JPEG format 3

7 Specify snapshots range you want to export Specify save location Specify file name Click Save to start Exporting data Deleting Data Click File->Delete Specify snapshots range and click Delete. 4

8 Settings Click File->Settings All settings role as: 1) Recording Options: 5

9 Data Folder: The location that icctv s snapshots data will store. All the recording data will be saved in this folder. Default folder will be C:\Windows\rdata. Inactivity Time Out: if your PC is idle over this time limit, icctv will suspend recording until the user wake the PC. Interval in Seconds: Set interval for icctv to capture the screen. Take 10 seconds for example, icctv will capture your PC s screen every 10 seconds and save the snapshot to data folder. If you want to capture more details, you should set this interval to smaller value. Storage File Size Limit: Set maximum storage for data folder. If data folder s size exceed the limit, icctv will stop recording until you change this setting to bigger value or free the space of this folder. Delete After (Days): How many days you want to keep you snapshots data. Expired data will be deleted. For example, if you set this parameter to 30, then today s record will be deleted after 30 days. Data Folder Share Name: If you want to share this PC s snapshots data with the other PC in local network, you can set the share name for this folder. To view the sharing folder s data from other PC, you need sufficient permission to access this folder. Meanwhile, the PC you are using should install a licensed copy of icctv also. Share this Folder: Check this to share the data folder. 2) Miscellaneous Pixel Format: Set the quality for the snapshot data. Lower pixel can save space and can have a better performance. If you want to capture colorful snapshot, set it to 16 bit or above. Language: Set icctv s language. Show NotifyIcon in System Tray: Check this option to show icctv icon i in system tray. Menu Style: Set your menu style. Normal Menu: 6

10 Ribbon Menu: Use Encryption: Check this option to encrypt you snapshot data. Data encryption can improve the security, but this will also slow down our application. For better performance, if you do not really need this, encryption is not recommended. 3) Security Hotkey: Change your hotkey here. Default to be Control + Shift + Alt. Change Password: Change your password here. Key in your current password and your new password, make sure new password is consistent with confirm password. Click button Change Password to apply your new password. 4) Messages Reactivate Selected Messages: For some repeating confirmations, you can check to make your last action as the default operation. For example, whenever you exit iviewer there will be a confirmation as below: 7

11 If you always hope to choose Resume Recording, you can check and click to close iviewer and resume recording. Then in the future, whenever your exit iviewer, it will close directly and resume recording. If you want to reactivate this message again, just select the corresponding message and click Reactivate Alll Messages: If you want to reactivate all the deactivated messages, click 5) Application Watch List Add Watch Application into Watch List: If you know the application s name, you can just key in the name like MSN and press enter key to add it to watch list. If you want to add a specific application, click button to perform this. If you want to add more than one application into watch list, lick button to browse all the applications installed in this PC. Remove Application From Watch List: If you don t want to monitor this application any more, click button to remove it from watch list. Or right click one entry in watch list and click Delete selected item to remove selected item from watch list. After finish all of your settings, click button Save to save all the changes. 8

12 Filters Click Data->Filters Define your information filters o Users: View different users recording data. o Events: View different events (current version only supports timer) o Marked/Unmarked: View marked or unmarked snapshots. o Date Time Range: View data within specific date time. Marking Comment Set your mark comments in play panel. 9

13 You can click button on the right side to modify current comments list. Click Data->Mark Comment or press F6 to add comment to current snapshot. Backup Click Data->Backup/Restore->Backup 10

14 Restore Click Data->Backup/Restore->Restore Favorites Click Favorites-> Add Favorite to add a new favorite Click Favorites-> Edit Favorite to edit current favorites Click Favorites-> My Favorites to open added favorites data 11

15 Appearance Click Appearance to customize you interface Registration Click help->registration to view or update your license. o Online Registration: If your PC is connecting to internet, then you just need to fill up your personal information and key in the correct serial number, and then click o to update your license. Manual Registration: If you don t have internet, you need to fill up your personal information, key in your serial number, number of users, and click button. After this, click button to generate the report and sent it to us via fax. Our Fax No:

16 Once we receive your request we ll deliver you the corresponding registration key by telephone or fax. Then you should key in this registration key and click button to finish your registration. Update Online Click Help->Check for Update About Click Help->About 13
