(Windows 2000 users need to apply a Hotfix to Windows - see below.) Windows 2008 Server R2: playback not supported, though recording works correctly. DirectX 7.0 or newer required for movie playback. QuickTime required for export to QuickTime format. Windows Media Player 9 or newer required for export to WMV format. Registration - if not done at time of download The download is for a 30 day trial period. You will need to register and get the Free licensing key for continued use. 13 The Help screen opens. On the left side is Contents tab. Click on Registering BB Flashback Express Information is given on the right side as to how to register your copy. Follow these directions to register your copy. Blueberry software will you back a license key and an activation link. Follow the directions in the to complete the registration process. Note: You must register your copy otherwise in 30 days you will not be able to use it. You do not have to wait the 30 days. 14 To Record Double click the BB Flashback Express Record shortcut on your desktop and click Continue. Or via Start>All Programs>Accessories>Blueberry Software>BB Flashback Express>BB Flashback Express Recorder BB Flashback Express opens. 16 BB Flashback Express Recorder opens. In the Record box, you can select to record Fullscreen-one or more monitors, Region, or Window. Check the Record Sound checkbox if you wish to add sound (your verbal dialogue as you recreate the issue). If you select to record sound the screen expands so the source of the sound is selected Microphone, PC Speakers, Line In, Dock Mic, or Jack Mic. To record from the mic in your laptop, leave the selection as Microphone. Check the Minimize to tray while recording checkbox to minimize the recording screen. Click the red dot to begin recording. The Full Screen Recording screen is given. Select to record from Primary monitor, Secondary Monitor, or both. A red outline will appear on the screen(s) that you will be recording from. 17 The recording begins and the toolbar is shown. When the recording starts the red outline box will go away. The counter will show elapsed time of the recording. Click the Pause button (blue double bars button) to pause. Click the Stop button (red box) to stop. After stopping the recording, Compressing audio message is given if Record Sound was selected. 18 By clicking Save, you then receive the Save as screen. Here you give your file a name. Suggested name would begin with PI number followed by brief summary of the issue. In this example the name is HEO Menu.fbr Note: The file is saved in the directory of C:\Documents and Settings\your eid\my documents\bb FlashBack Movies The file can be attached to Point Insight but will need to be zipped first because PI does not accept fbr files. FBR files cannot be password protected or expiration date placed on them. See instructions on how to Export for this function. PI only accepts files under 3 MB. Click Save to continue. Saving the recording gives you the option to Export to Flash, AVI and other video formats or to Review it. By clicking Open in Player you will be able to review your recording. 19 If you clicked to Open in Player, the BB Flashback Express player will open and the FBR recording is displayed. 22 Click Security to set a password and/or an expiration date for the recording. Passwords can be set as the PI issue number. Expiration dates should be no sooner than the Go Live Date for clients. Click Export to continue. Export creates a.swf shockwave file and a.html file. 25 Viewing Files There are several ways to view a file. They can be viewed as the original.fbr file or as the exported.html file, which requires the.swf file too. FBR files cannot be password protected nor have an expiration date added. Viewing.fbr Files Blueberry must be installed to view an.fbr file. Save the file to your machine and double click it to play. BB Flashback Express opens, click Continue. The.fbr recording will begin to play. Note: FlashBack Player.Exe can be saved as a shortcut on your desktop from the C:\Program Files\Blueberry Software\BB FlashBack Express directory. Click the shortcut (FlashBack Player.Exe) to open the BB Flashback Express screen then click Open an existing movie file. This method will only play.fbr files. 25 Blueberry Flashback Express How To

26 Viewing.html Files Blueberry does not need to be installed to view.html files. The Export process creates an.html and.swf files from the.fbr file. Both the.html and.swf files must be saved to your machine. Do not rename the files. Double click the.html file and a browser window will open to play the recording. Control buttons are located in the upper left hand corner for Rewind, Pause/Play, and Forward. Note: Without Blueberry installed you may not get the control buttons. If the recording is password protected, the Enter Password screen appears when opening the.html file. Enter the password and click OK to continue. If the recording has an expiration date that has expired, the following screen appears when opening the.html file. The recording will not be viewable. 26 Blueberry Flashback Express How To

27 Attaching a Recording to PI Export creates the.html and.swf files. Zip both files together. In this example, the zip file is named Orders.zip 27 Blueberry Flashback Express How To

28 Launch PI and go into edit mode of the PI case to attach the file. Click on the Attachment button. Enter the description of the file to be uploaded in the Step 1 field. In this example the description is Orders Recording Click Browse to locate the file to attach. Navigate to the location of the saved zip file and select the file to be attached. Click Open Note: PI will NOT accept.fbr,.html, or.swf files or files larger than 3 MB. Zip the file to attach to PI. 28 Blueberry Flashback Express How To

29 The path to the file will display in the Step 2 field. Click Attach File to attach the recording or X in top right to cancel. When the file has uploaded successfully to PI, it will display as an Attached File. (Author will show your name and id.) Click Done to exit adding attachments. 30 Retrieve a Recording from PI From Edit Mode in PI The Zip file containing the.fbr or.html and.swf file must be saved on your PC in order to play. The file(s) will have to be Extracted in order to play the recording. Open the PI case and click on Select Attachments drop down. Select the recording to download. File Download screen is received. Select Save and give the destination location to save the file. The Zip file downloads from PI. Download complete screen is received. Click Open to open the zip file. 32 After clicking Open, the zipped file contents display Both files will need to be Extracted from the zip file in order to view the recording. Highlight both files then click Extract. Select the destination directory to extract the files to. If you clicked on the.html expecting it to open and it did not, this is the screen that is received. 33 By selecting both.html and the.swf files and extracting them, the files will display in the destination directory. Double click on the.html file to open the recording. The.html will open the shockwave file. In this example the file was password protected. The user must enter the password in the field at the bottom.
