1 First-Time Login...1 Setup Overview...1 Populate Your Bed Board...2 Add Columns to Gadgets (Tabs)...2 Filter Information in Gadgets (Tabs)...4 Save and Reset Perspectives...5 First-Time Login After logging in for the first time, this prompt is displayed it means no user preferences are saved (you are probably a new user). 1 Click to select the line that includes your role definition. 2 Click to check the Open selected application by default checkbox. This will turn off this prompt. 3 Click OK to continue to Cap Man. 4 Continue to initial setup. Setup Overview The first time that you log into Capacity Management, you need to set up the tools that you will use. These tools are called gadgets (they display as tabs in Capacity Management), and your view is called your perspective. 1
2 Populate Your Bed Board At the top of the window, click the Hospital building icon, then your campus. If necessary, use the arrows to go to the level of detail appropriate for your work. Add Columns to Gadgets (Tabs) 1 To add the necessary columns to your gadgets, click in each gadget and select Configure List Columns. 2 In the Configure List Columns list, check the columns that need to be added, using the lists on page 3, then click Close. 3 After selecting columns, re-arrange the order by left-clicking and dragging columns to the correct position as shown on page 3. 4 Click Save in the upper right corner of the window to save the view to your current perspective. 5 Click OK in the Save Success window 2
3 Here is the recommended order for the columns in each gadget (tab). The columns that you need to add to each gadget are bold italic and have an asterisk*. 4 Filter Information in Gadgets (Tabs) Filter the following gadgets to include or exclude the units, departments and/or clinics that you want to see on your perspective: Transfer List, Discharge List, Pre-Admit List, Custodial Services List. 1 To filter the gadget to only display the campus where you are working, click the Current Location column header. Click and select Filter/Sort Properties. To add Filters to your gadgets, click in each gadget and select Filter/Sort Properties. 2 Click the header to continue. 3 Select Exclude or Include. For setting up your campus, for example, it is easiest to Exclude. 4 Click the Ellipsis button to open the Location lists. 5 Click the arrows to open/close location details for each campus. 6 Select the locations to exclude. For example, exclude the opposite campus, Support departments and Clinics that you do not want displayed. 4
5 7 When you are finished, click OK to return to the Current Location column header. 8 In the filter box, click OK. Capacity Management Your view immediately changes to the locations that you did not exclude. 9 The Current Location header displays a filter. - you can click the column header again to continue filtering using Include or Exclude. Save and Reset Perspectives As you work in Capacity Management, you can customize your perspective at any time. Click Save to save the current view of your perspective. Click Reset Perspective to return to the last-saved view. 5
