The software can be used without a license dongle, but the functions will be limited. 9 Accessories.3.3. Overview You can order prefabricated cables from SEW EURODRIVE for connecting an encoder system to MOVISAFE UCS..B. The cables are divided into split and adapter cables. The prefabricated cables are designed for connection to the UCS..B safety modules in connection with MOVIDRIVE B and MOVIAXIS. In this case, the signal outputs of the encoder are distributed to X (with MOVIDRIVE B) or X3/X3/X (withmoviaxis ) and to X7/X/X7-/X- of MOVISAFE UCSB (PS), B (PS), B/PS, B, or B (see following figure). The design of the mechanical system and the encoder must be subjected to an FMEA based on the system to ensure that the encoder has a continuous positive connection with the movement. You must use sin/cos encoders, TTL encoders, or encoders that provide such signal tracks. The encoders must be designed in such a way that the output signals of both tracks are generated independently of one another and that common cause failure can be ruled out.
