17 What About 4K and H.265? 4K content is something that Cisco is looking at very closely It has important consequences for vertical industries such as energy, medicine, and geology H.265 has significant challenges Most modern chipsets for smart phones include H.265 decoders These chipsets are very powerful and are capable of H.265 The licensing costs for H.265 are prohibitive for most video conferencing applications However, Cisco endpoints such as the SX80, MX700, and MX800 are capable of H.265 The TelePresence Server and the CMS platform (Acano) decided against using H.265 because of increased processor complexity and reduced port count The result is that H.265 only works in point to point calls between supported endpoints BRKCOL Cisco and/or its affiliates. 71 PresenterTrack Configuration Overview A Cisco TelePresence Precision 60 camera at the rear of the room is configured to capture the whole presenter area. A trigger zone is configured so that when a presenter steps into this area a crop of the presenter is created; the crop follows the presenter wherever they walk within the presenter area. 72 When Considering Placement of a PresenterTrack Camera The zoomed-in area is *always* exactly ¼ of the Stage area It uses 2X digital zoom, and is one-half the width and one-half the height The result is a 720p image that can be moved digitally anywhere within the Stage area to follow the presenter A very large Stage area say 40 feet wide will therefore result in a very large zoomed-in area 20 feet wide. This may or may not be acceptable as the presenter will still appear rather small Lastly, consider the need for reliable facial detection If the optical zoom is more than 2X, the camera follows different rules for facial detection and could have problems if a) the lighting is bad or b) the person is very small in relation to the Stage area.
