Agenda Basic Concepts Basic Rules Capacity Backup (CBU) and Designated Backup Machines Temporary Keys and Transfers and Days, Oh My! Mobility Other Power Systems Software IBM Software Licensing 3 IBM i Software There are three types of software for IBM i (from the perspective of this presentation) IBM i base operating system Licensed Program Products (LPPs), for example DB2 WebQuery BRMS IBM i Access (Client Access) PowerHA for i etc. Other products Products licensed under Passport Advantage, for example - WebSphere MQ, Rational Tools, etc. ISV Software SAP, Infor, etc. 4

The Basics IBM i licensing is based on hardware model / machine size One IBM i license required per core (plus users on machines where applicable: P05, P10) License is also referred to as an "entitlement IBM i requires software license keys Three machine size groups as per other Power Hardware platforms Small, Medium and Large For IBM i, there are also processor groups (aka software tiers ) which map to machine sizes: Small processor groups P05/P10/P20 Medium processor group P30 Large processor group P50 NOTE: P05 and P10 are priced per processor plus users All of these tiers are also mapped to IBM i transfer groups (which are only used for the IBM i Entitlement Transfer Offering) 5 IBM i Licensing The Basics Large 795, 780 Model Medium E880, E870, 770, 760 S , 740, 730 PureFlex/Flex: p260: 8/16 core p460: 16/32 core Small S822 S814 6/8 core 720 & 710 6/8 core Blades: 8/16, 16/32 core PureFlex/Flex: p A S812 1-core S814 4 core 720 & core Blade: 4 core

Basic Licensing Rules IBM i operating system is only licensed for the machine serial number on which it was originally sold These terms are modified with specific offerings: e.g. Capacity Backup, IBM i Entitlement Transfer offering, Power Enterprise Pools, etc. PowerVM is only licensed for the machine serial number on which it was originally sold and therefore cannot be transferred to a different machine PowerVM has an activation code which is specific to the machine serial number From V5R3 and later, most IBM i Licensed Program Products can be transferred between systems belonging to the same Enterprise For V5R2 and earlier, the software stack could be sold with the machine to another customer For all other Power Software, products licensed through Passport Advantage, and ISV Software, refer to the software license terms IBM Software License Agreements are published on the Software License Agreement web site: 19 Basic Licensing Rules The Entitled System Support (ESS) website is an important resource for software information Software Entitlements electronic Proof of Entitlement (epoe) (V5R2 and prior had paper SW Entitlements which must be verified) Software license key management SWMA records Upgrades Software downloads IBM i Evaluation (Try & Buy), National Language Version (NLV) Downloads For countries supported for downloads see The Key Center can be contacted at WWSWKEYS@dk.ibm.com Customers can use ESS themselves or register a BP to use ESS on the customer s behalf ESS web site: For documentation, refer to Help on the left menu 20

User-based Licensing Model Structure Processor Group PureFlex/Flex: p260: 8/16 core p460: 16/32 core Per core and user P10 Small S822 S814 6/8 core 720 & 710 6/8 core Blades: 8/16, 16/32 core Per core and user P10 PureFlex/Flex: p A Per core and user P05 S814 4 core 720 & core Blade: 4 core Per core and user P05 Two components to pricing for P10 and P05 machines Per processor core Per user Users can be purchased in blocks of 5 (P05 tier machines) or 10 (P10 tier machines) Unlimited User Entitlement option The charge is for concurrent users A user is a person not a userid, a profile, a program, or anything else! A person who accesses IBM i and exchanges credentials directly with IBM i or indirectly with an application running on IBM i 21 User-based Licensing: Special Scenarios Special licensing option for External Users Provides access to individuals who are NOT employees or similar personnel of your enterprise or individuals to whom you provide hosted services (not needed if machine is licensed for Unlimited Users) Special licensing option for Unlimited Collaboration Users Provides entitlement for an unlimited number of users who access IBM i solely for the use of collaboration products and for no other purpose. Licenses for these products are sold separately: IBM Lotus Domino IBM Lotus Sametime IBM Lotus Quickr (The Domino Version) IBM Lotus Quickplace IBM WebSphere Portal or IBM-approved IBM i appliance solutions Some LPPs have user-based licensing DB2 Web Query s user licensing component is named user Rational Developer is named users Rational Development Studio is per user, per product IBM i Access Family has a choice of concurrent user or unlimited users 22

Acquiring Keys for Earlier Releases from ESS Acquiring keys for earlier releases: SWMA required Keys automatically created for entitled release plus two releases prior to entitled version/release E.g. client has V7.1 entitlement, automatically acquire keys for 7.1, 6.1, and 5.4 Clients can request keys for earlier version/release and is subject to requirements: SWMA and entitlements in place 23 Agenda Basic Concepts Basic Rules Capacity Backup (CBU) and Designated Backup Machines Temporary Keys and Transfers and Days, Oh My! Mobility Other Power Systems Software IBM Software Licensing 24

CBU for i Overview IBM i is only licensed to the machine on which it was originally purchased and requires hardware serial-specific license keys The Capacity Backup (CBU) offering modifies IBM i licensing terms and allows you to temporarily transfer IBM i entitlements from your primary machine to a CBU machine, saving the cost of purchasing full IBM i entitlement for the CBU machine (there are minimum IBM i licensing requirements required on the CBU machine). This can provide a significant benefit to customers. The CBU offering is different from the IBM i Processor and User Transfer offering, where the Transfer offering also modifies IBM i licensing terms but permanently transfers IBM i entitlements to another machine 25 CBU for i Overview Offering for IBM i HA/DR environments Consolidation environments (AIX, i and Linux) Offering Features IBM i & 5250 Enterprise Enablement (OLTP) temporary entitlement transferability for HA/DR operations Offering Supports Temporary transfer of IBM i processor license entitlements from primary to CBU system Two year temp keys for eligible LPPs on CBU Registration required for IBM i operating system environments Primary Software tier primary CBU Software tier CBU Prerequisites Order CBU specify code when ordering a Power server Minimum one processor entitlement of IBM i for all models and user entitlements for 720 and below Must have as many IBM i entitlements on the CBU as is required for replication workload Primary server must be of equal or higher software tier Registration of primary system and CBU is required prior to CBU order fulfillment CBU feature may only be acquired upon purchase of a new box or via a model/type upgrade 26

CBU for i Overview A CBU is a Power server ordered with a CBU specify feature code Ø Registration of the primary system and CBU pairing and acceptance of the CBU terms and conditions are required prior to CBU order fulfillment The primary system must be of equal or higher software tier (processor group level) A CBU machine requires a minimum of one IBM i processor entitlement; P05 and P10 tier models also require a minimum block of user entitlements (5 or 10 users, respectively) Ø All productive workload running on the CBU is required to be licensed, e.g., replication services are considered productive workload The primary and CBU machines must be in the same enterprise The CBU feature may only be ordered on the purchase of a new server or type/model upgrade plant orders only Ø The licensing terms of the CBU are only available to the original owner of the CBU machine and are not transferrable to another party when the machine is sold The designation of primary system and CBU cannot be switched 27 CBU Offering Primary and CBU must always be in the same enterprise Solution Edition cannot be used as a CBU Refer to for the latest info and Q&A (and the November 17, 2015 tech talk!): Multiple primaries to one CBU One primary to multiple CBUs Multiple hosted machines or partitions to one CBU 28

Designated backup machine (DBM) The DBM is distinct and separate from the CBU offering Can be a new or used machine, is paired with at least one primary machine The primary system s CPW rating must be greater than or equal to the CPW rating of the DBM All processor cores used for backup recovery services, including those used to create and or manage the backup recovery environment, must be licensed I.e., IBM i operating system entitlements are not temporarily transferable as in the case of the CBU offering. IBM i entitlements are required on the DBM for all IBM i workload which can run on the DBM 29 Designated Backup Machine (DBM) Two-year temporary keys for the non-os LPPs for the DBM are available by completing the form TEMPORARY KEY REQUEST FOR BACKUP MACHINES Upon approval, temporary keys are generated for the DBM for all of the primary system s entitled LPPs Any LPPs for which temporary keys are acquired May not be used concurrently on primary and DBM A client may use one DBM to backup multiple primary machines by creating a partition on the DBM which meets CPW requirements When submitting the Temporary Key Request form, the client is required to provide verification that the CPW rating of the DBM partition does not exceed the CPW rating of the client primary (i.e. from the HMC, show the processors allocated on the client's partition) Is SWMA required on the DBM? If you need software support on the DBM, acquire SWMA on the DBM serial If you upgrade the entitlements on the primary system, you will need SWMA on the DBM in order to get upgraded temporary keys for the LPPs 30

Summary Comparison of CBU and DBM: CBU: allows temporary transfer of IBM i operating system entitlements from primary to CBU DBM: no temporary transfer of IBM i. All processors running IBM i operating system must be licensed for workload running on DBM CBU: must be in the same enterprise as the primary DBM: a service provider can own the DBM and provide backup services to machines owned by clients CBU: processor group size of primary must be greater than or equal to processor group size of CBU DBM: CPW rating of primary must be greater than or equal to CPW rating of DBM CBU: designation may only be acquired at the time of purchase and must be either a new machine or a machine-type-model upgrade; only available to original owner of machine DBM: can be a new or used machine For both CBU and DBM: can request temporary keys for LPPs (subject to requirements) 31 How to Get Temporary Keys for a CBU or DBM Temporary keys for the IBM i operating system are not provided for the CBU or DBM machine. The CBU agreement allows customers to ignore Out of Compliance messages You can get two-year temporary keys for non-os IBM i LPPs (and OS optional features like Media & Storage Extensions) for a backup system (CBU or DBM) by completing the form REQUEST FOR DESIGNATION OF A BACKUP IBM MACHINE For any software for which you ve acquired temporary keys, software cannot run concurrently on primary and backup system Any productive workload on the backup system must be licensed In order to qualify as a backup system For CBU: primary must be greater than or equal to CBU in processor group size For DBM: primary must be greater than or equal to DBM as measured by CPW Latest CPW reference guide: Performance Capabilities Reference (CPW Ratings start with Appendix C page 291) systems_power_software_i_perfmgmt_pcrm_feb2013.pdf You are responsible for renewing the temporary keys after two years. No automatic notification is sent from the Key Center Watch for updated temp key request form at IBM i License Topics at systems/support/planning/ibmi_license.html 32

Agenda Basic Concepts Basic Rules Capacity Backup (CBU) and Designated Backup Machines Temporary Keys and Transfers and Days, Oh My! Mobility Other Power Systems Software IBM Software Licensing Days vs 70 Days vs 40 Days vs 60 Days?? 15 Days - Migration: When you transfer IBM i software entitlements from one machine to another, you are allowed concurrent use of the entitlements on both machines for 15 days Concurrent use beyond 15 days requires IBM i Temporary Licensing (5733-ITL) Side-by-side RPQ Refer to FAQ at the end of the presentation regarding When does the 15 days start? 70 Days Evaluation / Try and Buy: Evaluation of keyed products allows trial use for up to 70 days with no key required The 70 days is only for evaluation purposes, not for productive use of a program. Migration is considered productive use 40 Days - Emergencies: In emergencies, temporary keys for up to 40 days can be issued Used in cases where a permanent solution is pending or in process (a software order or transfer) 60 Days IBM i OS Transfer: Used in the IBM i Entitlement Transfer offering: If you remove all processors and/or all users from the donor, 60-day temporary keys for one processor and/or one user created in order to complete verification process 34

40-Day Temporary Key Process for Emergencies Prior to February 2017 In emergency situations, temporary keys for up to 40 days can be issued: Request a copy of the temporary key form by: WWSWKEYS@dk.ibm.com or Contact ESS support team: > Contacts Used in cases where a permanent solution is pending or in process (a new software or transfer order) Extension of 40-day temporary keys requires IBM authorization based on the justification 35 Entitled System Support (ESS) Enhancements Interim Keys Since February 2017 Interim keys Available since: February 16, 2017 What are interim keys? Self-serve 40-day temporary keys for LPPs and OS features For emergencies stemming from ordering or licensing issues in a variety of situations - E.g. orders are pending or transfer of entitlements are pending in IBM records Also retrieve currently installed IBM i OS key - no customer number registration required Interim keys do not take the place of a customer purchasing temporary licensing (5733- ITL) if required for migrations, etc. are not issued for IBM i operating system entitlements (feature 5051, 5052, 5053) Who can generate interim keys? Everyone: no customer number registration required 36

ESS Enhancements Interim Keys Since February 2017 Interim Keys Refer to: ess/ > IBM i Software Keys Start Date The start date is immediate: i.e., the 40 days begins when you acquire the keys from ESS 37 ESS Enhancements Interim Keys Ts & Cs Since February 2017 The availability of interim keys for a hardware machine serial number is dependent on several conditions: 1. The machine type, hardware machine serial number must be valid and recognized by ESS 2. If the machine is licensed to IBM i OS, the machine must have at least one IBM i per processor license installed 3. The machine may not have an order for IBM i Temporary Licensing (5733-ITL) pending for activation, or active 5733-ITL keys If the hardware machine serial has active 5733-ITL keys, no interim keys can be generated for products and product functions which cannot be ordered with 5733-ITL 4. The machine has not had two or more temporary keys within the last 12 months for the required product function Temporary keys means a key with an expiration date and without entitlement, so e.g. could be keys acquired via 5733-ITL or interim keys This limitation applies to a product function on a machine serial number across Version/Release/ Mod levels. Example: On a machine serial, I acquire: 5761-JS st request: 40-day key 5761-SS st request: 40-day key 5770-SS nd request: 21-day key On this same serial, I can subsequently make a 2 nd key request for 5761-JS1 and can acquire keys for other products/functions, e.g. 57xx-BR1, 57xx-PT1 If the machine meets the conditions as stated above, 40-day interim keys are generated initially, then 21-day interim key may be subsequently generated if needed Do not generate the additional 21-day temporary key until the 40-day key is close to expiration since the key expiration date is calculated at the time you acquire the key from ESS. 38

Permanent Transfer of Software to Another System? IBM i OS: Tied to the machine serial number, must stay with the machine when ownership is transferred However, the IBM i Entitlement Transfer offering allows eligible entitlements to permanently transfer to another machine within the same enterprise CBU offering only allows temporary transfer PowerVM: Tied to machine serial number, stays on machine when system sold/ transferred IBM i non-os LPPs and IBM i optional features can transfer to another system within the same Enterprise V5R2 and earlier, the whole software stack could be transferred with the machine to any new owner If V5R2 or earlier use Internal Request Form (contact Key Center at WWSWKEYS@dk.ibm.com ) V5R3 and later, use the ESS system (or WWSWKEYS@dk.ibm.com) or configure a license transfer order in e-config 39 IBM i Processor and User Entitlement Transfer Offering Enables IBM i processor and user entitlement to be permanently transferred between selected systems: Implemented worldwide via IBM e-config SWMA required on donor system Donor system must have been installed for a minimum of one year Transfer fee is $5K USD plus additional uplift charges if transferring to higher tier IBM i processor and user entitlements move to target system Base entitlements: the following POWER5 models had these base entitlements which are NOT eligible to transfer (1 base license) (1 base license) (4 base licenses) Refer to Transfer Guide for requirements and eligibility. Published here: Updates are posted any time there is a change in IBM policy 40

IBM i Processor and User Entitlement Transfers Donor Machine (Source) Must have current SWMA Must have been installed for minimum one year Receiving Machine (Target) For each processor entitlement transferred, one year of SWMA included at no charge Ø SWMA is not included when transfer includes ONLY IBM i user entitlements (any type) and no processor entitlements 41 IBM i Entitlement Transfer Offering Group Definitions Tier Model Structure Processor Group Large Per core P50 Group 3 Medium E880, E870, 770, 760 Per core P30 Group 2 S / 740 / 730 Per core P20 Group 1 IBM i entitlement transfers can be done within groups 1, 2, and 3 within groups 4, 5, and 6 from groups 1, 2, and 3 to group 6 (with the exception of A: no transfer from 1/2/3 to the P A) PureFlex/Flex: Flex System p260 8/16-core Flex System p460 16/32 core Per core and user P10 Group 6 Ø Transfer from 1/2/3 to Flex P10 results in adding one Unlimited User entitlement Small S822, S814 6/8 core 720 / 710 6/8-core PS701/703 8/16-core PS702/704 16/32-core Per core and user P10 Group 5 42 PureFlex/Flex: Flex System p260 Compute Node A S812 1-core S814 4 core 720 / core PS700 4-core Per core and user Per core and user P05 Group 6 P05 Group 4

IBM i Entitlement Transfer Clarifications Donor and receiving machines do not need to be at same version/release You can configure IBM i license transfer to a target machine at the same or a later level of IBM i than the donor (but not at an earlier release than the donor) Available in both e-config Software-only and NEWSYS paths 60 Day Temporary Keys: For IBM i Entitlement Transfer offering: Ø If you remove all processors and/or all users from the donor, 60-day temporary keys for one processor and/or one user created in order to complete verification process 43 IBM i Entitlement Transfer Verification tool for reduced quantity key on the donor - QLZAVXFR The tool collects the correct donor key installation information for submission to the Key Center Retrieves the currently installed license key information for 57xx-SS1 feature codes: 5051 IBM i Processors 5052 IBM i Users 5053 IBM i Application Server Processors Creates interactive output: client sends the output screen to Key Center at WWSWKEYS@dk.ibm.com Must run the tool in each IBM i partition The tool is available via PTF for 5.4 and later PTF numbers: V5R4 SI SI52037 available February SI52042 available February contains the tool in the base 7.2, no PTF required 44

Temporary Licensing (5733-ITL) and Side-by-side RPQ 45 Temporary Software Licenses: 5733-ITL Replace machine with new machine with different serial, transferring entitlements from existing, need to use entitlements concurrently for more than 15 days 5733-ITL can also be used for special projects or temporary workloads, not just for migrations Ordered via 5733-ITL (e-config) Need serial number of recipient box Order any number of months up to a maximum of 12 Covers IBM i OS as well as many IBM i LPPs DB2 Web Query is not included with 5733-ITL offering User-based LPPs are handled as follows: IBM i Access Family (57xx-XW1) is licensed for the system (unlimited users) as opposed to quantity of users Rational Development Studio (57xx-WDS) is licensed for 250 users CICS Transaction Server for i (57xx-DFH) is licensed for unlimited users Make sure that the start date is specified correctly in e-config since the temporary keys are generated based on the start date configured into the 5733-ITL order For software that is covered via 5733-ITL, refer to: > IBM i Temporary Software License (5733-ITL) 46

Side-by-side RPQ for Hardware Upgrades Upgrade and keep same serial number (Whereas 5733-ITL covers replacement of system with different serial numbers) RPQ order process rather than econfig Allows from and to machine to both run alongside each other Each order of the RPQ covers 2 weeks, maximum total period is 16 weeks Covers IBM i OS as well as IBM i LPPs The cost of the RPQ covers Software licensing on both systems An additional visit by an engineer to complete the upgrade (refer to RPQ) Model RPQ Number US Price Euro Price 8202 E4B/C/D (720) $3, , MMB/C/D (770) $10, , MHB/C/D(780) $10, , MME/MHE (E870 / E880) $10, , Agenda Basic Concepts Basic Rules Capacity Backup (CBU) and Designated Backup Machines Temporary Keys and Transfers and Days, Oh My! 30 PVUs for Software Group Products A Processor Value Unit (PVU) is a unit of measure differentiates licensing of software on distributed processor technologies defined by Processor Vendor, Brand, Type and Model Number IBM defines a "processor technology as each processor core on a chip (socket) Clients must license all cores on a socket Each Software Product has a unique price per PVU Example: To find cost of running Product ABC on an S814 Cost of Product ABC per PVU $1, Number of PVUs per core for S Total cost of Product ABC per core $70, Reference site for PVU multipliers for specific systems www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/passportadvantage/pvu_licensing_for_customers.html 59 IBM SW PVUs 60

IBM SW Sub Capacity Licensing The Licensee can deploy the Program using either Full Capacity licensing or Virtualization Capacity (Sub-Capacity) licensing Ts and Cs referenced in Passport Advantage Sub-Capacity Licensing Terms Full Capacity Licensing Licensee must obtain PVU entitlements sufficient to cover all activated processor cores* in the physical hardware environment made available to or managed by the Program Product, except for those servers from which the Program has been permanently removed. Virtualization Capacity licensing Licensee must obtain entitlements sufficient to cover all activated processor cores made available to or managed by the Program, as defined according to the Virtualization Capacity License Counting Rules. 61 IBM i Workload Groups Enhanced Management & Licensing Workload Groups provide capabilities to manage/license workloads on IBM i Limit the number of cores that are used by specific applications within single system/partition/subsystem Limits placed at the whole processor-core level Applications licensed for the number of capped cores * Can cap a single job or all jobs/threads in a subsystem IBM i Today IBM i with Workload Groups Application #1= 6 Cores Application #2 = 6 Cores Application #1 = 3 Cores Application #2 = 4 Cores IBM i = 6 Cores IBM i = 6 Cores IBM i System / Partition / Subsystem IBM i System / Partition / Subsystem =en#/wiki/ibm%20i%20technology%20updates/page/ibm%20i%20workload%20groups 62
