2 Project Overview TRIANGLE is a Testbed for end-to-end testing, which prepares the ground for 5G certification. In the project we create a pilot platform for pre-standards prenormative certification of 5G devices and 5G applications. 4 Motivation Promote the testing and benchmarking of mobile applications and devices in Europe as the industry moves towards 5G provide a pathway towards certification in order to support qualified mobile developments in Europe define new KPIs and QoE metrics and design a complete evaluation scheme certify both applications and devices lower barriers for SMEs to get certification Propose integration into existing mobile certification schemes such as GCF <Event Date> TRIANGLE - <Presenter Name> 4

7 Why Certify SMEs can take advantage of the trust and confidence provided by completing the testing process within TRIANGLE reduced cost of testing and certification differentiate and enrich their solutions in competitive markets realistic app and device testing enabling set of SME to have more robust apps and devices on the market. 17 positioning lly provided with a wearable device (we typically employ bracelets such as the. 2 below, but other form factors can also be employed) which emits wireless con messages). Such signals are captured by a plurality of antennas and r to estimate the position of the user within the indoor space. The system is composed of three tiers. The IoT tier includes all the (wearable) sensors required and the necessary in-home infrastructure (antennas, anchor nodes etc.) to collect the signals from IoT devices and transmit them to a gateway node where such data is aggregated and pre-processed. The 5G tier ensures connectivity between the gateway node and the public Internet. The cloud tier includes all the cloud infrastructure (systems and methods) required to process IoT data and take the necessary actions (typically triggering notifications to a care worker in case a potential risk situation is detected). Identified Issues Backend- setup a local instance and connect it directly in the testbed IoT gateway can be hosted on a raspberry pi or on a minipc (MacMini +Ubuntu) Emulation of positioning vital signs: Option #1 (preferred ): we bring the actual devices to Malaga and test the system 'live'. Pros: more precise and realistic measurements. Cons: integration may require more time/effort. 19 - KPIs Scenario: Urban Pedestrian, Urban office (nursing home) end-to-end latency End-to-end latency should be of the order of 50ms user experienced data rate and reliability. User experienced data rate should be at least 1Mbps in downlink and 2Mbps in uplink even at the cell edge and in the presence of high traffic. Packet losses should be zero.
